Clayton and Dre are darling! Truly wonderful customer…read moreservice here! I got the Mediterranean bowl modified with goat cheese and chunky tomatoes. Loved it! The champagne dressing was a little bit more vinegar than I expected so I might try a different dressing next time, but loved the salad itself. Would love if it came with a side of bread or croutons as well. Also appreciate that they have nonalcoholic bubbly, so I'll definitely have to try that next time and go back. Love all the couches and the live music on Saturday morning.

The Living Room at DC Ranch is such a comfortable, casual place for Happy Hour, dinner, wine and…read moredrinks. The name really fits because there are several different seating areas, including cozy groupings with soft couches and chairs, traditional dining tables, bar seating and an outdoor patio. There is also a separate larger room that looked great for groups. It's nice enough for a fun night out or date night, but the overall feel is relaxed and casual, so you definitely don't need to dress up. We went for a girls' Happy Hour, specifically because the Wine Wall sounded like so much fun, but one of the things I really liked about The Living Room is that you absolutely don't have to be a wine drinker to enjoy it. They also have a reasonable, well rounded menu and signature drinks. Happy Hour is weekdays from 3-6 PM. The menu offers $2 off wines by the glass, draft beers, signature and well cocktails, as well as the bruschetta and flatbreads. So one person could come for wine and bruschetta, and someone else could enjoy a beer with flatbread, or have something from the regular menu. There are salads, soups, sandwiches, sushi rolls, food from the grillI, and starters. We first shared the Artichoke Spinach Dip. I feel like the dip is a portion for one, as you can see in my photo; it's in a small ramekin, but the chips are fantastic and sharable. I had the "fried rice with steak, chicken and shrimp topped with a fried egg." The "steak" was tiny little pieces, not slices, but the portion of fried rice was very generous and filling. It's a "Starter" that was a "meal" for me. I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the food prices are. Now for the Wine Wall, because this is such a fun part of the experience! You're given a Tasting Card that works somewhat like a debit card for the Wine Wall. You tap the card at the WineStation, choose the wine you want and then select a 1 oz, 3 oz or 6 oz pour. Each wine and pour size has its own price, and every selection is added to your Tasting Card. At the end, the accumulated amount is transferred to your restaurant check as one "Wine Wall" charge. Our server was wonderful about showing us how everything worked. He walked us over to the Wine Wall, explained the system and dispensed our first glasses for us. Later, when he asked if we wanted more, my friend ordered another 3 oz Silver Oak and he brought it right to our table, so we didn't even have to get up again. If the Wine Wall is one of the main reasons for your visit, there are couches and tables right by it. You might want to choose that area if you plan on trying 1 oz. tastes of several wines. We enjoyed two excellent Cabernets from the Wine Wall: Caymus and Silver Oak. I had a 3 oz Caymus, a 3 oz Silver Oak, and my friend had a 6 oz Caymus and 3 oz Silver Oak. Our total Wine Wall charge was $83. We're already looking forward to returning for what will feel like a different experience by having white wine and sushi outdoors on a cool evening. I could definitely see The Living Room becoming an easy choice for a casual Happy Hour or dinner with friends.

Two members of our group arrived before the rest of us and were told they could not be seated until the entire party was present. When I arrived and mentioned that I had made the reservation, the hostess responded in a rude and dismissive manner, which immediately created an uncomfortable first impression. The experience continued to feel awkward when the young woman escorting us to our table asked how my day was going. I mentioned that it had been going well until I was spoken to rudely by the hostess, and instead of addressing the situation professionally, she responded coldly and seemed to take offense. Our waitress also came across as abrupt and unfriendly. When our friend asked for another drink, her response was sharp and dismissive. While I understand that drink timing depends on the bar, the way it was communicated was unnecessary and unprofessional. To her credit, she did improve later in the meal, and the dinner ultimately worked out. However, had we not been dining with two other couples, we likely would have left after those early interactions.

So I got a Beyond Burger (which is normally $13 alone), fries and a beer. Delicious and a great deal! Only Thursday's at the bar. The Beyond burger was cooked perfectly, served with pickled onion, fresh tomato, lettuce, vegan cheese, and vegan sriracha aioli. Yummy. The fries were fresh and crispy. We also ordered the cauliflower nachos. They were good but had very little sauce on them. We asked for more sauce and the server happily returned with a side of sauce. Excellent service at the register when ordering and excellent service throughout the meal. They have other specials on other nights as well as happy hour deals. This is hands down the best restaurant all around in the area. I did not feel like I was dining in a supermarket. That ambiance was great. I will be back, basically every Thursday for the rest of my life! And then some!

We started with a charcuterie board, and it was simply delicious! We also had a couple of drinks and a pizza, which was also delicious. If you're only choosing one topping, I definitely recommend the soppressata. It's spicy, but absolutely delicious! My husband's favorite drink was the Sonoran Old Fashioned. He also tried the Sicilian, but that one wasn't really his cup of tea since it had a strong lemony flavor. I had a couple of drinks myself, and the top-shelf margarita was definitely my favorite. The seating was a little awkward since our table was right underneath the TV and very close to the table next to us. The ambiance was okay, though, and we were still able to have a conversation comfortably without the noise being an issue. Overall, we had a great experience. Great service, delicious food, and some really good drinks!

We sat outside under the misters, and as the afternoon started heating up, Angie was quick with recommendations, attentive service, and knowledgeable suggestions. Her friendly personality and attention to detail made our entire family feel welcome and well cared for. One of the things I love most about this location is how spacious it is. It's always lively and bustling without feeling crowded. The golf simulators, lounge areas, cigar lounge, and thoughtfully designed spaces throughout the restaurant give guests the option to create whatever experience they're looking for, whether it's a casual meal, drinks with friends, or a more relaxed evening out. I brought family visiting from New York after a day at C2 Tactical, and everyone had a fantastic time. Our table enjoyed a cheese pizza, a build-your-own veggie pizza, a pepperoni pizza, the Caprese sandwich, another delicious sandwich that disappeared too quickly for me to remember the name, and a Caesar salad. We also enjoyed a few glasses of wine, some martinis, and mocktails for the kids. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. What really stood out was the exceptional hospitality from start to finish. The hostesses were warm and welcoming, our food runners were friendly and efficient, and even our stop in the attached liquor store was a great experience. We picked up a few bottles of wine on our way out, and the gentleman at checkout was incredibly kind, patient, and personable. Overall, this was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. If you're looking for a casual meal in a stylish, beautifully designed, and inviting atmosphere, Trevor's Scottsdale is the place to be. A special thank you to Angie for making my visiting family feel so well taken care of. Angie's attentive service, friendly attitude, and genuine hospitality made our experience memorable, and we can't wait to return.

I stopped by this Italian restaurant for dinner on a Wednesday evening. Parking, while not the largest lot, is doable and free. This is the original location of what is now a well-known institution in Phoenix with several locations. Ambiance (2/5): A neighborhood Italian joint. A homey, relatively small restaurant. Murals of Roman Gods adorn the walls. A little tacky but somehow comforting at the same way. The big problem? Lack of A/C. I was there in July, which as we know is very, very hot in Phoenix. They had some fans going but it wasn't helping much. This is why I was reminded by Italy where A/C comes at a premium. You can't do that in Phoenix. Service (3/5): Pretty decent service, though not the most friendly. And one pretty big snafu. We were the last people dining at the restaurant. Though it was not close to closing time. I understand they probably wanted to close early. But look how they went about doing it. I was finishing a bottle of wine. Still had a glass in the bottle. Out of nowhere, the waiter came and took the bottle without saying anything. Though I was a bit shocked, I asked for the bottle to-go. He allowed it. I mean...awkward! That is not how you provide hospitality to your patrons. One of the weirdest service experiences I've ever had. Drinks (4/5): The wine I had, before it was almost stolen, was a nice deal as a house wine. It was a cabernet sauvignon. I'll never forget that waiter! Food (4/5): The menu consists of mostly your typical Italian classics. I was in the food for some carbonara pasta. While it can be heavy, it's a great dish and they do it well here. Thick, creamy, with a nice amount of bacon. For a surcharge, I added grilled chicken. The chicken was a little dry, but overall pretty good. Outside of my entree, they serve you complimentary bread with olive oil which is always a nice touch. I also tried some bruschetta from a shared appetizer which was fresh and flavorful. While the food is solid, the snafus with the service and lack of A/C during a Phoenix summer significantly impacted the experience.
