I love this restaurant and bar within the Scottsdale Whole Foods. The deal on Thursday is a…read moreburger, fries and beer or wine for $12. Yes...that's right...$12. So I got a Beyond Burger (which is normally $13 alone), fries and a beer. Delicious and a great deal! Only Thursday's at the bar. The Beyond burger was cooked perfectly, served with pickled onion, fresh tomato, lettuce, vegan cheese, and vegan sriracha aioli. Yummy. The fries were fresh and crispy. We also ordered the cauliflower nachos. They were good but had very little sauce on them. We asked for more sauce and the server happily returned with a side of sauce. Excellent service at the register when ordering and excellent service throughout the meal. They have other specials on other nights as well as happy hour deals. This is hands down the best restaurant all around in the area. I did not feel like I was dining in a supermarket. That ambiance was great. I will be back, basically every Thursday for the rest of my life! And then some!

We sat…read moreoutside on the patio and loved the fire bar top surrounding the space--they kept everything warm. One of our favorite things about Jalapeño Inferno is the music. It's always such a great mix for background vibes--Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison, Allman Brothers, The Doors, Ethan John, and more. It never disappoints. Their complimentary chips and salsa is always great. We usually get a combo of flour and corn chips, and they're so good. For drinks, we started with the Boss margarita and the jalapeño inferno margarita. Both were good. The Boss is definitely strong and not overly sweet, which we appreciated. My son wanted chocolate milk, and they were happy to make that for him. For food, I ordered the mahi tacos with rice and beans, my daughter got the tequila lime shrimp tacos with rice and beans, and my dad ordered the mole enchiladas, also with rice and beans. I liked my mahi tacos, but I actually preferred my daughter's shrimp tacos--the mahi had a little too much sauce for my taste. My dad enjoyed the mole enchiladas, though he mentioned he would have preferred the mole served simply over shredded chicken instead of as an enchilada, just a personal preference. My son ordered from the kids menu, which has a decent amount of options, including a cheeseburger and chicken fingers for kids who may not be into Mexican food. Our server, Aiden, was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly and attentive. He noticed my son playing a video game on his phone and mentioned that he plays the same game, which immediately made my son think he was the coolest person ever. That small interaction really stood out and helped make the night even better. Between the atmosphere, music, food, and great service, this Jalapeño Inferno location continues to be our favorite, and we'll definitely be back.

Yelpers,…read more Enjoyed a lunch today here at Arrivederci. Enjoyed the ravioli, my cousins enjoyed the fish of the day and spaghetti. Perfect portions for a lunch. Plenty of available tables, so no waiting. Server was very polite. East to find off Thunderbird, nice parking lot. If you like Italian add this location to you wish list.

What they did get right for us was a reservation with an on-time, ready table. I have been to many finer dining spots that have not been able to do that so I do credit them with being ready for my larger, work group coming in for a post-work related meal. There endeth any chance at an above-par experience. I found the menu to be a bit overpriced not only for portion size, but also for presentation and lack of attention to detail. As an example, there were several typos on the menu (a $13 Caprese Salad was listed as a "Carpese Salad" and descriptions of some menu items spell tomato inconsistently (found also as "tomatoe"). I can overlook typos or spelling inconsistencies at casual cafe menu's, but for a spot that is going to easily run north of $65 for a full meal and a glass of wine, it is my belief that attention to details like this matter. The food, while tasting fine, was portioned small for the price and presented with disappointing visual appeal. My main was $28 for a pretty simple pasta. I don't mind markup and I don't mind paying a higher price for a great meal but mine looked a bit unfinished, almost amateurish like it was put together by a high school home econ class. Lastly, the service was really polite but also sub-par for the setting and the prices. The hostess seated us and handed all our menus to me and asked me to pass them down the table to the others in my party instead of individually presenting them to each person. And our server was absent for long periods. We waited so long for dessert menus and eventually a check to be presented to us that it probably added 35 min on to our time in the restaurant. It was an awkward wait for my colleagues and several of them simply left before dessert menus or a check were presented. Because I had to stay at the table to wait for and pay the bill, I was unable to properly say goodbye to some of my guests as they left so that was not a good look for the restaurant in front of my colleagues that I was hosting. While we were provided with basics for a meal (table, food, server, etc.), none of it was all that memorable and none of it was up to the approximately $120/person value standard that I paid for each of my party. To be fair, there was nothing about our experience that was disastrous, but there are many other restaurant choices in the area that have delivered for us in the past at similar price points. Based on that, I know that Arrivederci should do better.
