They see the child as a whole person and not just a cough or a rash. I have often had to wait (ex a 2pm appointment can often turn into a 3pm appointment or once for me, even turned into a 4pm appointment when a child with an urgent issue came in). If you hate to wait (or have a tight schedule), it might be frustrating. When my child is sick or has an issue - I don't want to feel like I have to go home and look things up on the internet to confirm the pediatrician gave me all the options and was up on the most current guidelines, research etc. I trust Westchester Pediatrics to tell me what I need to know and that's it. For an anxious mom who is a compulsive looker up of things, that's huge. I trust the care - no need to look anything up.

At the moment we did not have one but fortunately we met Dr.Ornstein of this practice. We have been to the facility on 4 different occasions and everyone has been very friendly and beyond helpful. - Not sure what the prior reviews are referring to but personally we have not experienced anything but great etiquette and service from the moment we walked in to our goodbyes as we exited- The facility - A+ it seems it is new and in a different easily accessible location - Colors are vibrant and they have included a separate sick area to help passing of the possible germs. Super clean and sterile. Fish tanks are an added plus that I can imagine be a great distraction as our child gets older. - Also you know a place is clean when there are no finger prints or smudges on the fish tank can you imagine how many children are pointing at Nemo! Front of house Team - A From past 4 visit team always have been busy, phone ringing, patients entering and exiting have always been friendly and attentive to my family's needs Nurse- A 2 Nurses that we had the chance to encounter were great and were both friendly and helpful. One was a nurse that has been with the practice from the very beginning many moons ago and her level of care was "old school kindness" Our second nurse was a young, energetic and friendly. Both nurses demonstrated the ability to reassure my wife and I we were doing all the right things. Dr.Ornstein - A++ the Dr. is exceptional we had fortunately met at the hospital and after researching her background she passed her interview with us. Her bedside manners are exceptional and she is very genuine in her approach. We were having a few early baby difficulties and she was able to address them quickly and effectively. The Dr. has been very patient answering all the questions we had (there was many I want to admit to). I would highly recommend Dr.Ornstein and it is nice to know that our child will be well taking care of by a doctor that saw her from birth. If you are looking for a pediatrician service for your child I would give them a try based on my experience I would not go anywhere else if I had saw the previous reviews prior to scheduling and meeting Dr.Ornstein I would of perhaps reconsidered but we are so happy we had that chance opportunity to meet the dr and based on that experience she passed her interview and the practice has a new patient.

I always feel included and like part of the team when I take my child to VP. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The office is very clean and has a sick child entrance. I brought him in with me and nursed him with her help so that she could observe. She reframed so much of what the hospital told me generically and tailored it to me and our son based on how and what she saw. and she was spot on! he was happier, less frustrated and trusted me to read his cues correctly and get what he needed. it was an instant fix, I can't get enough of her!! She makes herself available by phone too if tou can't make it to her in person. She and Dr. Stephen are in this with you every step, honestly we couldn't have asked for more caring human beings to help guide us.

I compare every doctor to Dr Screnci and not one has lived up to her skill set. She is the most intelligent person I have ever met in my life. I truly trust her with my life. I would still go to her if I could. She was good with me through the years where I had a fear of going to a doctor and still continued to be into my teenage years where my questions were endless. I owe getting over my fear of doctors to her and the staff. She truly got it right every time I never doubted her expertise. Every doctor appointment I have been to since I have left with frustration and confusion. She always has such patience even after working all day and seeing a boatload of patients, she still took the time to answer my questions that were insignificant to other patients. When I was younger I used to say that she should be president :). She definitely has all the strong qualities to do so in my eyes. I also have loved every other doctor she has brought on to the practice. It amazes me, its as if she finds the most qualified doctors out there or maybe they find her. I hope that when I have children one day that I can either take them to someone who is at least half the person Dr Screnci was for me, I know it will be hard to find, I have been searching for years.
