They see the child as a whole person and not just a cough or a rash. I have often had to wait (ex a 2pm appointment can often turn into a 3pm appointment or once for me, even turned into a 4pm appointment when a child with an urgent issue came in). If you hate to wait (or have a tight schedule), it might be frustrating. When my child is sick or has an issue - I don't want to feel like I have to go home and look things up on the internet to confirm the pediatrician gave me all the options and was up on the most current guidelines, research etc. I trust Westchester Pediatrics to tell me what I need to know and that's it. For an anxious mom who is a compulsive looker up of things, that's huge. I trust the care - no need to look anything up.

The patient portal has been equally frustrating, with messages receiving no response, requesting appointments is useless, zero customer service or friendly and careless. When they answer or go to the counter, it's like they have been threatened and limited or against their will. No care in their life for anyone's time or presence. Their environment dimishes the patients / customers. When forms require another physician's involvement because main patient's doc is unavailable, such as Dr. Schiff's, the office may call about them but then fail to follow through and send the completed documents. My son is now at risk of losing essential services because of these repeated delays, and this is not the first time it has happened. Regrettably, we have decided that we can no longer continue receiving care from this practice.
