We like all 4 doctors from Scarsdale Pediatric Ass. We've been going there since our older son was…read moreborn in May 2009. Although Dr. Halpern is my 10 year old's main doctor and Dr. Bookner is my 7 year old's, but they see Dr. Lee and Dr. Menco as well whenever we need to make a same day (emergency) appointment and the other two doctors are not in that day. We used quite a few on call service when kids were little - we were inexperienced parents at the time. And we can't always find and trust the info we search online. There's always a doctor is on call during off hours there. Last December when we took kids to visit their Grandpa, my 10 year old had an asthma attack and I didn't pack his inhaler. I called the service agent and asked to have the doctor to contact my husband directly while he was on his way to a local pharmacy with our son. Dr. Halpern happened to be the one on call that day. After she spoke with the pharmacist over the phone, my husband was able to get the prescribed inhaler and a spacer. We're so thankful! After all these years, we know the office is closed from 1 to 2 pm for an hour lunch break. Luckily, we haven't had any emergency situation that my kids need to see a doctor happened to be that lunch break. I think if it does happen, I would just take my kids to the ER at White Plains Hospital. Hey, doctors need a break, too! It's 9 o'clock, gotta go schedule an annual checkup...

We feel beyond lucky to have then helping us with our newborn. Dr. Stephen is AMAZING, refreshing,…read moregentle but thorough, intuitive... and pretty darn funny, he's always a relief and an encouragement to see. We've had plenty of first time parent concerns and he's tackled them all super timely and with a way of explaining things that calms us and gives us more confidence every time. And we were amazed with Katie, the Lactation Consultant. she has decades of experience, she CHANGED our world!! we brought in our 5 day old baby and she completely turned me around with her knowledge base. I brought him in with me and nursed him with her help so that she could observe. She reframed so much of what the hospital told me generically and tailored it to me and our son based on how and what she saw. and she was spot on! he was happier, less frustrated and trusted me to read his cues correctly and get what he needed. it was an instant fix, I can't get enough of her!! She makes herself available by phone too if tou can't make it to her in person. She and Dr. Stephen are in this with you every step, honestly we couldn't have asked for more caring human beings to help guide us.

My kids LOVE going to the dr. They literally ask to go. Even if there are shots involved they like being there. When the heck does that ever happen? Dr. Nikki is more than a doctor. She is someone my 13 year old daughter looks up to and my 7 year old son wants to marry. I trust her and when it comes to your kids that is something you need to have for peace of mind. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Changed it to a 4 star after PM Pediatrics made a timely and sincere effort to address my concerns. They outreached twice in less than 24 hours. That deserves some credit and a second chance. I believe that it is incumbent upon those of us who rate these entities to allow them an opportunity to get better. Hence that is why I amended my initial feedback. I am happy that Yelp allows for this feature. Have come here before and the quality of care has been quite good. Things were very different this time. Person checking us in was very unprofessional. For example, she carried out a conversation with another employee while checking my son in. At one point she asked, "did you eat already?" We thought she was asking my son and part of the intake process. She was actually asking her co-worker. At the time of this review, we have been waiting for over 35 minutes in the exam room. This visit was very disappointing. Will not be coming here again. Go to West med instead.

However, even after arriving 10 minutes early, we still had to wait, and there were already about five children in the waiting area ahead of us. The facility itself was clean, and both the nurse and doctor were kind, friendly, and reassuring during the visit, which made a stressful situation a bit easier. That said, the front desk experience could definitely be improved. No one was present when we first arrived, and when a staff member (I believe her name was Carol or Karen) finally came out, her greeting--"Are you a walk-in or an appointment?"--came across as abrupt and not very welcoming. Overall, the medical care was good, but the initial interaction at the front desk left a negative first impression. Will I come back probably not. Free Parking is available in the lot.
