They see the child as a whole person and not just a cough or a rash. I have often had to wait (ex a 2pm appointment can often turn into a 3pm appointment or once for me, even turned into a 4pm appointment when a child with an urgent issue came in). If you hate to wait (or have a tight schedule), it might be frustrating. When my child is sick or has an issue - I don't want to feel like I have to go home and look things up on the internet to confirm the pediatrician gave me all the options and was up on the most current guidelines, research etc. I trust Westchester Pediatrics to tell me what I need to know and that's it. For an anxious mom who is a compulsive looker up of things, that's huge. I trust the care - no need to look anything up.

You have to know when it was, which defeats the purpose. You have to pay for parking at Ridge Hill, by a system on a cell phone requiring a great deal of info including credit card info. There's always a doctor is on call during off hours there. Last December when we took kids to visit their Grandpa, my 10 year old had an asthma attack and I didn't pack his inhaler. I called the service agent and asked to have the doctor to contact my husband directly while he was on his way to a local pharmacy with our son. Dr. Halpern happened to be the one on call that day. After she spoke with the pharmacist over the phone, my husband was able to get the prescribed inhaler and a spacer. We're so thankful! After all these years, we know the office is closed from 1 to 2 pm for an hour lunch break. Luckily, we haven't had any emergency situation that my kids need to see a doctor happened to be that lunch break. The only dissapointing thing I gotta mention is that I don't ever remember getting notification of the move and one day I called and phone was disconnected. I been jumping hoops ttrying to get my kids records and I still haven't. An9tjer thing is that recently when I went to update my children's immunization, some of the immunization he did were not reported/updated in the syate database. At least he did put them on immunization card and the new doctor was able to update the database. Aside from that i never had any complaints.
