I wanted to enjoy this so badly, because I had more treatments here than I ever have had in one day. Just very disappointing. It made me really miss DePasquales. My massage was good. Just good. My facial was relaxing but I didn't experience the "afterglow" I usually do. And the aesthetician must not like extractions because I asked for them and got zilch. My body polish was the most expensive thing and was mostly cold and awkward. They use a vichy shower (you lie on a table and get hosed off.) I could have exfoliated myself better with a threadbare washcloth and a bar of dove soap. My eyelash tint didn't get my blond roots which was the WHOLE POINT. My hairdresser didn't listen even though I said three or four times I wanted my ends curled under. She straight-ironed my hair in spirals and I ended up curling it myself in my hotel room. The locker room has no steam shower and a weird sink faucet and awful overhead lighting. The lockers have compartments so your handbag wont fit unless you empty the contents out and fold it up. There were a lot of men there the day I went and they were (nervously?) chatty and too in my face. There should be a (distant) couples-only holding tank. The beaded curtain that separates the holding tank where they put you between services is obnoxious. It scrapes back and forth for ten minutes after some one comes or goes. Maybe the new Reflections spa at Grand Cascades will be better. How could it not be? read more

i'm sorry.... i just have to :( i love the spa here.. i have gotten a massage before and i loved it.. that's why i came back but.............. got my massage at 8pm. i didn't get greeted til 805 the massage didn't start til 810. i paid for a 50 minute massage so i thought i would be done by 9 but i was done by 850. not only that but my massage therapist basically was checked out (i could tell by her massage.. i work in this field) and i was really disappointed. yea the waiting area is nice and it's nice to finish off with rose petals in your feet (they basically rushed us out too because it was closing) but i paid a lot of money for this massage and i just feel like i didn't get my money's worth. won't be back here again. read more

Went for a couples massage. The massage therapists are 5 star rating. The facility is looking worn. The bathroom in the spa offers a bidet that does not function (and looks old), and a beautiful copper luge faucet that doesn't function properly if at all! MAINTENANCE IS POOR! Also, as a semi-frequent customer I've noticed that the facility is not consistent with offerings. They had used a beautiful salt in the foot baths after your service of choice; the salts were not available this time (not for the last month in fact!). My husband did not have a robe in his locker and I did not have the sandals in mine. Again, the massage was great, the rest needs work. read more

All the staff was prompt and cordial but they provide the worst facial. I left the spa with pimples and oily skin. My esthetician took no time on extractions, and didn't even provide me any feed back in regards to my current skin condition. I've been to way better for much less. We are staying at the hotel so I decided to book a family spa day for husband, teenage daugther, young adult daugther and her best friend. We did it on the last Wednesday of the month and got 25% off everyone services except my hubby's because it was specials only for us women. Well my teenage daugther got a facial and she loved it. Her face looks amazing. My other daugther and her friend got massages. They said it felt amazing. They also brought some CBC stuff however my husband and my spa experiences will happen tonight. If I rated the facility on the staff and therapist I would give it a 5 star rating. The staff are warm and welcoming and the therapists are highly skilled. I was disappointed in the locker area. The air temperature was very cold. Cold air does not feel good after a relaxing massage or shower and your muscles tighten up. When you arrive they give you a locker that is supplied with 1 towel and a robe and slippers. The robe and towel were fine but the towel had hanging threads and the material pulled away. Not a good attention to detail. There were also no extra towels in the locker room. For spa of this nature, I would expect extra towels or at least 2 provided initially. All these things are quite fixable. read more

Serene Spa Setting & 4 Star Pampering Visited the Elements Spa for a therapeutic massage that I upgraded to aromatherapy. The massage was fabulous and the staff was a breath of fresh air. I was greeted with a smile and personally upon arrival. Though the staff was juggling loss of hot water and a few unhappy guests they were caring and apologetic. The changing area needs an upgrade, very dark and only one toilet, small lockers, etc. The service made up for the less than lush changing room. Once changed and seated in the waiting area, the staff was quick to refill beverages and glassware. My massage therapist arrived on time, spoke to me about my service and my "problem areas" recommended we add essential oils and then the next hour floated by. This Spa is ok. The treatments are great however the facility is lacking. To start you have to walk through the gym to enter the spa. The waiting area is tiny and men and the walk way and the waiting room are only separated by a chain curtain. If you decide to get a pedicure I would suggest getting dressed as the chairs are in the middle of the salon and you are seated on a wooden bench type seat. No heated massages chairs or anything like that. Again the spa treatments are good however the Spa atmosphere is missing, especially for the price! read more

Just wanted to say we had a fabulous time at Elements. It was my sister's 25th birthday and we did the "Girl's Spa Get-A-Way" package, which included a 2 bedroom suite and a 50 min massage .The spa is beautiful. It was very clean and professional, and the massages were amazing. They put us all in white robes and sat us in a lounge area with granola, water, and tea. Then we proceeded into the massage room one by one. During our massages the power went out (due to snow storm) and they all just kept going like nothing happened. Liz did a great job!!! After the massages all 5 of us got to soak our feet in Epsom salt and rose petals, perfect touch to finish off. It was a very happy birthday and relaxing afternoon. Thanks Elements Spa! read more

Upon booking my wedding, Hanna the Spa Supervisor immediately contacted me with information on wedding day services provided by the spa. She scheduled my wedding day appointments with Vanessa, who was both my hair stylist and make-up artist. I couldn't have been happier! Vanessa picked a hair style that was elegant, sophisticated and absolutely beautiful and I received so many compliments about my hair that day! My make-up was flawless. She made me look stunning! The only reason for any stars was that my masseuse, Elisha, was super; five star. As for the Spa itself, I don't even know how they get to call it a spa. It took 2 days to make my appointment, as the booking agency booked the wrong time. When I discovered the mistake, as I called to confirm as I never got their email confirmation, no one could even figure out how to re email or fax me a corrected confirmation. I asked to speak to a manager, and finally after hours of attempting that between the disconnects, no answers etc., I finally got to one of the Managers named Jason. He apologized and said he would make sure everything went smoothly; he even promised to come by the spa and check on me. I felt a little better now. That feeling did not last long. This spa is a joke. Does this place ever read their reviews? A miniscule bench to sit on in the waiting room; men and woman (and today even an infant) in the same waiting areas? Whoever heard of this. A communal bowel of granola??? No one showed me around, offered me any tea, and the locker room was so dark and dreary I had to use the light from my cell phone to even find the miniature lockers. One toilet with an old and wornout Toto bidet attached that was broken. Sinks are ridiculous--should put in a counter. I have lived in this area for 30 years and have gone to many local spas. Some are better than others, but for this price, it was the worst spa I ever visited. And, by the way, Jason the manager never showed his face. They did take 20% off my $235 dollar day. They must have made improvements since some of those reviews bc I had an amazing service at the spa. My husband and I got couple's massages and they were amazing!! Jessica and Jamie were our massage therapists and they were great. We had warm towels on our backs and feet, great pressure with our massages and then a warm foot soak afterwards. Worst massage I EVER had! This place has gone completely downhill in the past few years. Don't waste your time or money. They are rude, the therapists are inexperienced and rush you through your appointment. The bathroom was disgusting, both showers didn't work. After politely asking my therapist to slow down she ignored my request didn't seem to care how I felt. I was 30 MINS early!!!! it's not like she should have been rushing me for any reason. This was by far the worst massage I ever had. I will never be back. It was a gift and the lovely (not really) woman at the front counter told me there was nothing on my gift card which had, yes $100 on it. After standing there for 10 mins i guess she figured it out. Maybe you should double check before you're rude to your already annoyed customers. Of course there is no where at the spa to leave comments and feedback-- probably because they know what poor service they give. This spa is a part of my gym and as a gift from my family, I indulged in a deep tissue massage. As a new mother, this was precious time away from my family to pamper myself. The staff was very nice in welcoming me, but unfortunately my experience was unsatisfactory. I arrived a few minutes early to enjoy the spa atmosphere and enjoy a cup of tea before my massage. The water was cold and the seating uncomfortable. My massage was rushed. Not only was I cheated on time, but my massage therapist spent so much time with her hands off that I'd jump when she resumed the massage. My massage started at 8 pm and after I received a complimentary foot soak. When I got back to my stuff in the locker room, it was 8:44. Not quite a 50 minute massage. While I was trying to enjoy my foot soak, my massage therapist rushed past me to leave for the night. Overall I was very unimpressed and will not go again. I even tried multiple times to contact a supervisor/manager to discuss my experience and never received assistance. I would have used this spa regularly and now I will look elsewhere. read more

Unprofessional and unimpressed. This place advertised that they were the number one spa in NJ and top 30 in the county. We booked a 100 minute couples massage. We showed up 30 min ahead of time but forgot bathing suits. they had a super small gift shop with almost nothing in it. They said they sold them upstairs but if the door was locked to the store to ask the front desk to let us in. Sure enough the door was locked, (middle of the day) there was a huge line of people trying to check into the hotel so we had to wait. After 15 minutes we finally made it to the front. The guy let me into the store, but the lights were off in the store in the area where the bathing suits were so I called out "what about the lights" but he was already gone. I stumbled in the dark to find a bathing suit in my size. (The bathing suits were in a separate alcove, so it was quite dark). We went out to the front and again there was a big line to try to pay for it but since at this point we were going to be running late for the appointment, I called out if we could pay downstairs at the spa. He said yes. The woman at the counter checked us in but did not confirm what our appointment was. They gave us keys to the lockers in the locker room. The space of the locker room was only about 4' x 8'. Smallest I have ever seen! There were five other women trying to get changed and it was impossible to do so without bumping into other people. My husband's locker was missing a towel and a robe so he had to go back out to request one. It was almost impossible to get the sinks to work in the bathroom and I needed to ask someone to help. (my hands were covered with soap already) One of the three faucets finally produced some water. The other two did not. The waiting area was not like any high end spa waiting area I have ever been to. It's basically a padded bench in the hallway. No lounge chairs or anyway to put your feet up. The masseuse did not ask me some of the normal questions like "is there anywhere specific you want me to focus on", she did ask about allergies and I told her I had a mint allergy. About 15 minutes into the massage I realized they were moving very quickly and asked to confirm that it was 100 minutes. They said it was only 50 minutes. The Email confirmation did not have the number of minutes that we had signed up for listed so we were not able to catch this error in the booking. They said they called in to listen to the audio, but said that they couldn't hear how many minutes we said the massage was for in the audio recording so there was nothing they could do for us. They did not use mint during the massage but as soon as you were done they took you out and put you in a place to soak your feet, as I was sitting there they filled the tub with mint scented salt, so I had to take my feet out and they drained and refilled with water. The massage itself was fine, but I am a huge spa/massage fan and go to them whenever I have time or travel. This is an average spa with mediocre service. We went to get bathing suits because they talked about special minerals that are used in the tiles and walls on the website. There is a picture, even featured here on yelp, showing a couple in a Jacuzzi with Rose petals. I asked about it after the massage, but they had no idea what I was talking about. There is only a small pool at the hotel that was available and it was quite crowded with kids and adults, not relaxing, so we just left. It was not worth the hour drive to get there. I would not have made the trip and used one of my few vacation days for a 50 minute massage at a spa that did not have other areas to relax in. I will not be going back. There is no way this is one of the top 30 spas in the USA or number 1 in NJ. read more

This really isn't a day spa. Saw bad yelp reviews before I went and thought people were being picky. Turns out all of their complaints were true - this place isn't "spa like" at all. When I got there saw short hallway with two high backed couches on either side separated by beads, with treatment rooms behind. I asked the receptionist if there was more to the spa and she reassured me that I would be taken to "the other side" after my treatment for their complimentary foot soak. Had a perfectly lovely facial from a very lovely woman. After the treatment she showed me to the "other side" - AKA the OTHER SIDE OF THE SAME SHORT HALLWAY. Same high backed uncomfortable couch, but now I notice there are bowls on the floor and I get to sit there in a hall way that is loud and cold with my feet in a metal bowl of water (ok - some salts, oil and a couple rose petals....) but really?? So, I figure there has to be more. I asked the receptionist and she told me I could go to the hot tub, sauna and pool area if I walked out back through the gym. I'm game - looking for that spa experience! I go over to find a huge room full of people from the gym swimming, sitting in the hot tubs etc. Could not be less spa like - more like a hotel pool. The only seating is metal and rubber strip chaises that look to be about 30 years old. There are waterfall features to the pool area, so I try to convince myself that if I just focus on my book and the soothing sounds of the waterfall I will have my spa experience. Nope -- all of the condensation on the walls drips - there is no place to sit without having a constant drip of cold water. Then - the holy grail! I spot a couple couches up a small metal stair case. Don't look super comfy, still a humid, loud hotel pool but.... So, I go up the stairs only to find the little gate at the top is locked. No place in the whole "spa" that is quiet, subdued, comfortable. I finally realized I would be more comfortable and relaxed at home - didn't even take a shower before I left because, as others have noted, the locker room was freezing. Bottom line -- if you don't mind spending $170 for a facial and nothing else - knock yourself out. If you expect more than that or want a "spa" experience -- go somewhere else!! 5 star prices for a 3 star facial and a 0 star environment. read more

I'm having a hard time rating this place. I wish I could give stars for the massage, and stars for the place. The massage itself was very nice. I have no complaints. But the place itself needs massive improvement. First of all if you take the elevator at the hotel you have to pass the fitness center. There is no separation between the actual fitness center and the hallway so you get the wonderful stench of the room. When you get to the actual spa, there's no sense of quietness, everyone just speaks in loud tones. Then they direct you to Locker room. The ladies bathroom has two large sheet rocks where a hole apparently was. Then you are invited to a sanctuary where you can have some water And granola. This area was pretty disgusting. Three were four or five used and dirty mugs. The seating area is the most uncomfortable place I've ever sat in. Most spas that I have been to have nice reclining chairs where you can relax. This is a long bench with a straight back. Nothing comfortable about it! The place isn't cheap. Believe me for the price you pay this is not where you want to go. Overall kind of dingy. When you come out can you get the pass by the fitness center again and have that wonderful smell! Save your money and go to the spa at Crystal Springs! read more

I had such a wonderful spa day with all of my girlfriends. We had massages, wraps, and then our nails done. The homemade granola was so tasty I even bought a bag home with me. I first had my massage which left me completely relaxed and feeling stressfree. Next I had a scrub and wrap on this cool water table. Afterwards we had our nails done and they had wonderful scented hot towels and hot tea as well as the neck warmers. The staff were so friendly and accomadating. I will def be back. Thank you read more
