I came in for a long bob haircut and blonde balayage last Feb. / Mar. I was about a month away from having my son and I wanted a fresh and low maintenance style to ring in the mom life. As I search for a stylist I couldn't help but review the photos from my last experience. PROS: - The owner Maria accommodated my short time table, as I was planning on a maternity shoot the following day. - She did not cut my bangs, as I was going to be taking photos and she did not want them to be too short. Offered that I came back to have them cut afterwards. - Maria was quick to bring me back in to have my hair redone free of charge. - I was given a 25% discount on products (if I purchased all that she recommended - perhaps a con?) CONS: - My hair was wrecked - clearly. Banded, blotchy and the color was a disaster. It was definitely not as light as I asked for. She excused the wrong color by telling me she didn't want to leave the chemicals on me for too long as I was pregnant. - Maria was clearly busy, having her assistant complete my wash, tone and style. Totally understandable as she took me in on short notice. However, she lectured the assistant who was doing my toning, when I complained about the lack of blending, telling her that she needed to blend the toner better in order to fix the poor bleach job... - After I was invited back to have my bangs cut and color corrected, my hair was just slightly better. It was rather reddish and it did not resemble the pictures I had provided. Unfortunately correcting it involved putting a lot more bleach on my hair and it still could not fix the banding completely. Unfortunately, I was so disappointed with my hair that I cancelled my maternity shoot and kept my hair in a bun the majority of my baby shower. read more

Finally, a stylist interested in my feedback! This was probably the most successful haircut for me, and I thank Ashley a million times for her patience. I'm not a particularly vocal person, but Ashley made sure to check in with me throughout the process so that she could embellish according to my desires. I can't say enough how refreshing that is!!!!! The whole process was great. The receptionists on Yelp responded quickly to set me up with an appointment, which was convenient. I came to do a blowout for prom, and was told that I couldn't do that regardless of the style of my hair. I ended up requesting curls. The curls came out nice, however she didn't add any protectant spray and rushed on the curls. The vibe was obviously off and she seemed annoyed the whole time. I made appointment for after 10 am. I requested to relayer my out grown A line haircut. This stylist kind of re-layered my hair, after washing, semi blow drying my hair, asked the stylist I would like to go ahead and re-do my A line. At the end of it all it was not in any way looking like an A line cut. My hair cut turned out to be an above the shoulder pixy looking cut. I was not happy with my cut. There was no point in saying anything to the stylist my hair was already cut too short to fix it. If a stylist doesn't know how to do a specific cut then that stylist needs to say I can't do that cut and pass you on to someone who does. Stylist just needs to be upfront & honest about what they can and can't do. read more

I came across this location via Yelp! I go based of reviews. So when I so how many people actually liked this hair salon I didnt hesitated and reached out for an appointment. The lady whom I spoke with that made my appointment Maria was so helpful she was able to get me in soon. She had me choose a time. She did an amazing job she is super friendly and really quick at her job I could tell she has been doing this for years and really enjoys it. She asked you questions about how you want your hair and makes sure you are ok with the hair style you are going for. But in my case my hair is so damage I didnt care if she cut more than I had originally planned for. Over all very friendly staff and a very clean and chic place. I called Thursday hoping they could get me in om Saturday and luckily a stylist was available! I had an appointment with Taylor. She was very personable and knowledgeable and really explained to me the colors and tones ( which I usually just do basic dark brown) and helped me choose the right color. My color came out perfect! First off, if I could give this review a zero stars rating I would!!! I would like to retract my previous positive review I posted for Maria @ Element Salón. The reason I posted a positive review was because Maria curled my hair before I can view the actual haircut. After a week, I decide to straighten my hair and that's when I realized how unprofessional it looked. The left and right side of my hair was uneven. The left side was a little under an inch higher then the right. The back of my hair was all choppy and not straight. I recommended my sister to get a hair cut with her because how my hair looked when it was curled before I noticed all of the mistakes. She also had horrible experience. Maria cut her hair short than she originally wanted it. Also, her hair was choppy and uneven in the back. I hope this review will help anyone that is deciding to go with Maria. read more

So it's safe to say I have been through dozens of stylists. The stylist here (Maria) did NOT disappoint. First off, the salon is awesome. Warm, friendly welcome when I came in. A free consultation to discuss my wants/needs/options. Warm and cold beverages served to me like I was VIP. It was really pleasant and relaxing. We talked about my hair, made some appointments (2) sessions, and I was ready to be blonde again! My first appointment went really well, not too long. Maria paid attention to what I said, and did what I wanted. I got a wonderful massage on my scalp and got to sit and relax. The second session made it PERFECT! I love my hair. I can't say enough good things about this salon. My roommate went to check it out and came back extremely happy with the cut and color Ashley gave her. I called to make my appointment and got in a few days later. The salon is clean, and they're taking the proper precautions to keep everyone distanced and safe. Both my roommate and I don't know too much when it comes to hair, so we told them what problems we had and gave a general idea of what we wanted. They took that and ran with it. Wow. Never would I have expected to be given such amazing and attentive service, especially as a "difficult" customer, but Maria and Delainey blew my mind... On Tuesday evening, I messaged the salon through yelp to try to book an appointment for Wednesday or Thursday. Within 5 minutes of messaging, Maria was on the phone with me, offering me times. She answered all my questions, gave me a quote, and booked me in for Wed afternoon. I came in for my appointment and was greeted at reception warmly and enthusiastically. Then I sat to wait and Maria addressed me by name (she had never met me before!) and welcomed me to the salon. I then met my stylist Delainey who gave me a rockin' purple balayage (asking me questions and offering guidance throughout)... I am thrilled with how the color came out - THRILLED. Then it was time for the cut, and this is where my super thick and difficult wavy hair gave us some trouble. Delainey cut it, and I asked her not to style it because I wanted to see how it would dry naturally. I was super happy when I left the salon with damp hair, but about an hour later when it was dry, something wasn't right... I called the salon and Maria told me to come back in right away for an adjustment. Delainey and Maria took turns working on my locks to get things looking how I like. Again, I left the salon happy... The next morning (today) I woke up to see a yelp message from Maria asking how my hair was after wearing the cut through dinner and overnight - woah, I was shocked at how much she cared! I told her honestly that it was still a little off... She told me to come back in. I didn't respond right away because I was running errands, so she called me! I was so impressed with how eager she was to make sure I was pleased with the results. I came back in a bit later and she cut my hair again. This time, I think we hit the mark!! I can't stress enough how impressed I am with the way I was treated at the salon... Every interaction I had with the staff was kind and warm and truly caring. Even when I came back so many times and felt like such a pill, they always assured me that it was MY hair and they wanted to make ME look amazing. I simply had a stylist, Delainey, who likely was not experienced and comfortable doing undercuts. I really struggled with posting this, because bad haircuts happen, but when I went elsewhere to get it fixed and saw just how badly it was butchered underneath I had to say something. I went in for an undercut, level 1 underneath with the length below the eye. My shave was half done and there random hairs sticking everywhere. There were random pieces left longer than others.
