Was a member for NINE years. The good therapists were great, but every one of them would leave after a few months due to how they were treated by management. I was promised when I joined that I could cancel at any time, and any paid for services are mine to use. Well I just canceled and was told I had 60 days to use up 5 services or I would lose them. My only option was to convert them to gift cards at a cost of $10 per card (!) and had to BEG the manager to extend the expiration to give me a year to use them. Do not believe what they tell you when you sign up. I would recommend using independent massage therapists so they are not being scammed by business practices of these chains. read more

This place is unethical and disreputable. They send you emails with promotions that they do not honor. I was sent a birthday special for $10 off AND a complimentary hot stone massage. I called twice to book an appointment and confirm this offer. The receptionists are not familiar with the promotions and instructed me to bring in the coupon at my appointment which I did. I was feeling wonderful after my massage with Summer until the man at the desk informed me of the balance owed. When I questioned it he explained that they only applied the $10 off, but I was charged for the $25 upgrade for a stone massage. He said the owner has to opt in to the stone massage. It does not state this anywhere on the email which was an email sent specifically for this Roseville location. I am appalled that a business would lure people in with supposed promotions and not honor them. In my previous career as a massage therapist for ten years at an upscale spa this kind of thing never happened. My advice is do not believe the promotions and just book at a reputable business. These membership places are not worth it. They try to make you believe you are getting a deal, but a luxurious, ritzy place is at least honest with pricing. The money matter is a minor annoyance, but their deceit is what ruined my birthday. You deserve honesty as a customer. I have been a member here for about 6 months. It's been difficult to get appointments without 1 month + advance booking. I know they recently hired a couple more therapists, so I'm hoping this becomes less of an issue. Things were acceptable, until my last visit. I arrived approximately 10 minutes before my 5pm appointment. I even had to leave work early to make the appointment, b/c booking issues as previously mentioned. When I checked in, there were two people at the desk. One woman was being trained. She was fine. The other however... She proceeded to tell me my appointment had been moved to 5:30. She failed to give a reason, feigned mild shock that I had not been called and basically thought I'd just accept it like a doormat. I told her I had no idea, it was in mu calendar as 5pm, and I had even clicked on the appointment reminder email (which I could not find in my trash btw). Anyway, she proceeds to rudely tell me that the email said 5:30, and basically implied any confusion was my fault. I received no apology, no attempt at sympathy, or offer for compromise. I was furious, but what choice did I have. Any further comments I made were ignored. Had Jonita not given me the honest-to-God best massage of my life, I would have canceled on the spot. I still probably will cancel afterall...but since I got several emails asking for a review...here you go. You have good therapists, lousy customer service staff, and questionable business practices as a franchise. Hopefully others will be forewarned. read more

Located in the mall of the Har Mar Mall area below Waxing the City is Elements Massage. I have been an off and on member since they opened. This is not a scam unlike what some other reviews may have you believe. If those reviewers can't read a contract, then maybe they shouldn't sign one. You get charged x amount monthly that covers one massage at that rate monthly, and you as a member will receive discounted sessions through the rest of your month. You do not loose sessions if you don't go, and the sessions do not expire. They roll until you have none left even after you cancel membership. (You may have a time frame to use, but you need to check with the clinic.) And you can cancel your membership at anytime with no penalty. It's what you see is what you get with this. Front desk associates are fantastic. The bodywork sessions provided by the therapists are really top notch because sessions are generally customized. The only reason I give this place a 3 and not higher is because even though the therapists are fantastic, they don't listen. Not a single therapist there has ever actually not worked on parts that I specifically said they didn't need to work on. So, when I say hips on up, I mean no legs or feet and have actually said that to therapists who worked on those areas anyway. I have also stopped therapists when they start the area which also is annoying because I shouldn't have to tell them. There are a couple of therapists who are brutal when it comes to the deep tissue, and expect to come out bruised and hurting for a few days. Both of mine were female therapists, one of whom is the lead therapist. I will not go to the lead again. Rude, brutal and insensitive that one is. The other.... Emily... Wonderful therapist... Just uses elbows and hands in a way that bruises me. May not be like that for others. Overall a decent place, but I not be back in the near future because of the lack of abilty to listen by therapists. When the therapists change, I may reconsider a membership. read more

The WORST customer service I have experienced in my life. I had communicated with the owner before I decided to post this review hoping he would make efforts to improve the situation, but my conversation with him did not help. So, there you go. In a nutshell, I had purchased a Groupon for my partner and I to try the massage therapies at Elements Massage, in Roseville, MN. There was a misunderstanding in scheduling, which led to our Groupon being forfeited. Elements Massage cashed it. We never got our massages. Why was customer service so bad? 1) Not making us feel welcome - When my partner and I entered the premises, the first thing one of two receptionists said was to ask for our names. No hi's, no hello's, no how are you's from either of them. A smile would have been nice too, although not necessary. 2) Blaming us - The second thing she said was that we had not shown up for our appointments the week before, and according to Groupon policies, we would not be able to use it for other appointments. We explained that when the receptionist called to confirm the appointment, we had rescheduled the appointment to today. But she didn't believe us, and basically called us liars. 3) Not making us feel like we were being heard - Their system showed that we were no shows, and that was that. What we said didn't matter. WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED didn't matter. I believe they thought we were lying to try to cheat our way into getting free massages. It was incredibly embarrassing, and a bit unbelievable. Because this kind of situation has never happened to me. Because I am not the type of person to lie to get a free massage. Because I generally try to avoid lying. But they don't know me, didn't believe me, didn't give me benefit of the doubt, and obviously decided I didn't deserve a polite, courteous interaction or at least a genuine sounding apology. 4) Being extremely stern with us - The other receptionist called the back-up manager, a lead therapist. This lead therapist walked towards us looking flustered. She reiterated the Groupon policies (as if we did not understand them the first time), explained that massage therapists did not get paid for no-shows, and offered to charge us two 90-minute massage therapy sessions for the price of two 60-minute massage therapy sessions. This was not a good offer, considering I was not a no show and had rescheduled our appointment. My partner and I left the premises very frustrated without getting massage therapies for the appointments we had scheduled. We asked that they would not charge us "twice", but they would not confirm. (Twice because they applied the groupon for the appointment we had rescheduled, and then threatened to charge us for today, for this conversion where they called us liars. Talk about adding insult to injury.) TLDR: Worst customer experience ever. read more

I joined the wellness program here when I was in very bad chronic pain. I worked with Stephanie for 8 months and only left because I moved out of state. Every month Stephanie would spend 60-90 minutes pounding my muscles into submission and I would be sore for three days afterwards. My massages with her were the only thing that consistently and significantly reduced my pain levels. Thank you for giving me back my (almost) pain free body and life! read more

I was very excited to try this place out. It is located very close to my work and I try to get a massage once a month. When I came out from the appointment, they sold me on signing up for a membership. I only went back one time after I signed up for the membership because the massage therapist that I had was AWFUL! She talked to me the entire time and I was not able to relax. She was extremely rough and was not listening to me when I told her she was hurting me. She did something strange to my hips (popped them out of place and put them back in) and I actually had to go to the doctors because I had hip pain for months. I don't think she had the proper experience to give massages even though she stated that she did. I'm a dance teacher and I need my body to function properly so I can dance....I had to take off a week from teaching. Was not happy about this at all. Luckily, I was able to cancel my membership. The only downside is that you have to give them a 30 day notice if you are canceling your membership and you have to physically go into the office to sign paperwork. If you don't do this, they will continue to charge you. I do not recommend coming here unless you want to come out feeling worse than you did when you went in. This was my first time ever having a professional massage and it was an awful experience. It was very painful, even after I asked the therapist to use lighter pressure. Half way through I thought about asking to stop and just leaving. The therapist apologized multiple times throughout the session because my muscle kept slipping out from under her hands, and while I appreciate the apologies it was still very painful. People were also talking and laughing loudly in the hallway outside of the room. The therapist apologized for this as well, saying "sorry it gets loud in here sometimes". It was not a relaxing experience in any way. I left with tears in my eyes, feeling much worse than before. read more

I called this place on a whim after having chronic pain for months and just happening to drive by their store. The lady who answered the phone really listened to me and what I had going one. She recommended Dawn, who she thought was the best fit for my issues. Dawn is amazing! She really knows what she's talking about and really does care about you and how you're feeling. She explained everything she was doing and she repeatedly made sure I was comfortable. I really felt results afterwards, and was so happy. I haven't had a bad experience since I started going there and can't wait for my next massage. read more

I had been a member for several years but since the pandemic it's been very difficult to get an appointment that is within the next 2 weeks. They also switched their website for scheduling which means you have to click on each individual day if the first available doesn't work for you. Very frustrating. I have cancelled my membership. The actual massage was only 40 minutes (appointment was at 2:15 we began at 2:30 and it ended at 3:08). The smell of detergent used on the linens was incredibly strong and I ended up with a raging headache afterwards because of the strong scent. read more

I had a deep tissue massage from Bruce, he was recommended for a great deep tissue when I called. It was amazing. He got really deep and helped relieve some knots. He was a little hard on a few spots that were tender but I told him and he adjusted. He was great. Wish I could go back soon but can't do the monthly massage charge. Otherwise it's too much for a massage. I got a new client deal which was reasonable. But if I could afford it, I'd go every month! read more

I have had the wellness membership for a year and a half now, and I have had mostly great experiences here. I prefer deep tissue massage, so I go to Bruce, Sylvia, and Patch if that's what you're looking for. Lisa is great for more focused areas, and Jonita would be good for someone who wants more relaxation than deep tissue. I have had bruising from Bruce once on my shoulders, so I've needed to ask him to decrease the pressure a few times. Sylvia's schedule works the best with mine, so I've been going to her the most. Sylvia will find the origin of the pain, and not just the area that the pain is radiating to. She is extremely knowledgeable and intuitive about how to massage certain problem areas.If you can, do 90 minutes with her because she does wonders. read more

Then trying to purchase a gift card for this price, they said this was for walk ins only stating I would need to pay $140?? BUT...after verifying 2x when I arrived that this was the "true cost" plus tax of my massage, I was told (after the massage and after I checked) that since I had been there in the past 1x, my fee was $89 plus tax. No where on the coupon did it specify that this was for "first time"customers. The guy behind the desk was completely a snake about not revealing this little fact when I asked before the massage. He seemed like he forgot the conversation we had just had 60 minutes ago! Bait and switch practices are not what any customer signs on for when they come to a place for a massage. The massage and the technician performing the Massage were fine. However, the heavy handed hammering me for tips is a real turn off. It starts in the massage room when you are handed a tray(just right size for leaving dollar bills) being told this tray is for you with my card and for my tip. So subtle. Then I go to the desk to pay and the person asks "How much do you want to leave for a tip?" Without first being presented with a statement of the cost of the service rendered or tax due. This in a waiting area the size of a closet for all present to hear. Massage quality is pretty good, though not as good as many I've had in the past. The front desk staff are friendly, so friendly that it got a bit annoying and felt intrusive when I just wanted to sit in the lobby and relax until my appointments, they kept insisting on chatting with me. During two of my massage sessions, people were talking and laughing very loud in the adjoining hallways. Not just for a few minutes, but for 20 minutes. My masseuse was embarrassed and apologized. But the biggest reason I am giving one star is because a few months ago I told the front desk staff that I wanted to terminate my membership. They gave me a form, I signed it, and then 6 months later I started getting charged again. When I inquired about this, I was told that I signed a suspension form, not a termination form. Therefore, I had to pay for it. This was not my mistake. The front desk staff was very rude about saying I should have known better than to sign the form I was given. The owner is supposed to call me but I haven't heard from them and it's been a few days now. Will not be returning. read more
