Book this place if you want a proper massage to get all your kinks and knots out not just a relaxing Swedish massage Jeff was really good for a full body 60min massage- as a first timer here I wasn't sure what to expect as I'm used to the whole spa experience with the robe and aromatherapy etc, but I was super happy and felt refreshed afterwards as they really work hard to release the tension Inside is very small , clean no frills, small massage chairs separated by long curtains for privacy- they do have the spa music playing for relaxation Everyone we encountered was friendly, it's super easy to get an appointment here, I got one the next day after I called , they also have convenient hours You absolutely cannot beat the price here for an hour massage- I will become a repeat customer and bonus it's close to me Parking- plenty as located in a strip mall read more

If you are looking for a cost effective no frills massage this is the place. Plenty of parking as it's part of a strip mall. Staff was friendly even though there was a bit of a language barrier with some staff members. This is for getting all those knots and sore spots out and not for a spa session. We felt they did a great job for what you are getting at the price you pay. read more

I had an amazing massage with Jenny (not sure on spelling). I asked her to focus on my neck and shoulders and requested deep pressure, and she absolutely delivered. The pressure was perfect and exactly what I needed. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend her. read more

I used to go here but they were so rude and nasty today we went to Little break spa in St. louis park and i'm glad they did. Little break reps were way nicer read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I received a 30-min foot massage and paid around $48.92 ($40 plus 8 for tip) for it with tip, but the final charge to my card was $57. They literally changed the tip line to add an extra $10 tip. Yes, they tried to charge a $18 tip on a $40 30-min foot massage. I've contacted my bank. These people are greedy crooks and unprofessional. You've been warned! read more

Great massage for a great price. Professional workers. Convenient hours. Various options from chair to table massages.

I have had some really nice massages there and the staff are very friendly. I will say, however, it seems like they just have one routine they follow. If you ask them to focus more on a specific area or stay away from an area that doesn't really happen. read more

Hands down the best massages for reasonable prices. When having a stressful week I always treat myself to an incredible therapeutic massage at New Oriental, and recommend friends do the same. They're very friendly and professional, and always accommodate requests to work on or avoid specific areas, and unlike many similar businesses they don't aggressively try to upsell added services. Appointments are usually easy to get same-day, and you save credit card fees when paying cash! Highly recommended!! read more

TIP: Please call beforehand to make an appointment! --Typical Asian massage establishment that you can find all over the west coast. Not many in this area but this is the ONE if that's what you're looking for. Well curated routine style massages-- The location is in a strip center (not weird at all--where I'm from this is the norm) and the name of the business simply reads: "MASSAGE" It's in a convenient location with a parking lot and with a good a amount of parking The interior is a little dated but clean. Upon entering, you'll see the counter directly in front of you with transparent price listings and a small seating area to the right. The large windows bring in natural lighting while the darker decor helps to create a relaxing ambiance. The smell is really nice... aromatherapy scents filled the air. 3 rooms with large curtain entries line the left side of the room with an open space on the right side for 2 massage chairs. I didn't see a public restroom. When we arrived, the space was quiet and empty. The manager? popped out of one of the room and greeted us and offered us water. Later, we were led to a room with 2 massage tables inside. One of the masseuse gave us directions on what to do: remove clothing except our underwear, lay on the table facing down with the towel over our bodies. Hooks and a small plastic bin was available to hang purses and store our clothing and shoes. And don't be alarmed by the fact that the walls don't go all the way up to the ceiling and that the doors are just curtains. You will be laying down most of the time, eyes covered, ambient music and scents and won't even notice them. We requested for a 60min back+foot massage. Total price to be $70 each. We probably got about 50minutes as they were running a little behind schedule, BUT they did such an excellent job that it was hard to complain while there. They were just really busy Anyways, we asked for HARD pressure and they delivered!! It was about 30min of back massage and 20min foot massage. A small annoyance was the fact that they used a large towel to cover our bodies while massaging us. The initial warm up massage, they did it over the towel so it felt a bit like a rug burn effect. I'm used to a thinner sheet at other places so the towel was a bit different. Also, the towel didn't cover all the way down to my lower legs and feet so I felt just slightly exposed... I'm 5'6", so for taller people, that experience might be something to consider. The oil massage was excellent! My guy did great to work out some knots, using his hands and forearm and elbows. He worked on legs, butt, shoulder, neck and ALL areas of the back. He was polite when using the hot stones, checking to make sure they aren't too hot. The foot massage almost put me to sleep! It was so relaxing. Overall, I was very satisfied! Cash and card payments accepted. Email, print or text receipts are available. Our 2 masseuse: Ava and Jason. Request for them!! They are sooooo good! Especially Jason. read more

I have had my eye on this place for a long time, but never made an appointment. My big mistake. This place, namely Linda, gave me the most amazing massage I've ever had. This 60 pound soaking wet woman, kneaded and rolled my muscles in ways that I didn't know were possible. The strength in her hands is mind boggling. She asked me where I was sore, and concentrated on exactly those spots for 60 minutes and then spent the remainder of my time on my feet and legs. Praise Be! Lighting and Temperature was perfect. Music was relaxing. Oils were wonderfully soft without being sticky, and smelled heavenly. Friendly and made me feel very welcome. Run, don't walk to New Oriental Massage! read more

On time and very friendly! My daughter and I had a 60 min foot rub and that included a little bit of an all over body massage. Just perfect and professional! read more

Best. Massage. Ever. After an hour of deep tissue massage, including hot stones, hot oil, and back of the body walking (amazing!), I feel like I'm 17 again. Relaxed, loose, and so comfortable in my skin. Magic Hands (as I've nicknamed the masseuse) found tension and locked spots I didn't even know existed. Treat yourself :) read more

Excellent and highly recommended. I see Jeff at the New Oriental Massage and he is a master at traditional Chinese massage techniques, including reflexology, acupressure, and precision point pressing. He really helps with my hypertension. The establishment is clean, quiet, and relaxing. Very reasonable prices and they appear to be very busy both times I visited so I would make an appointment ahead of time. As stated by another reviewer, this is the traditional Chinese massage place that I'm accustomed to in the West and East coast. Highly recommended for your eastern treatments/massages. read more

By far the best massage I've ever had. The place is in a weird location located in a strip mall so it's not the most calming and relaxing vibe but still so worth it. It's nice that you pay per minute, I would go with the whole 60min or longer. The guy who did my massage was very attentive and it was evident that he was experienced. I can't wait to go back! read more

Turns out everyone and their mom booked a massage on MLK day, which forced me to look beyond my usual 1st and 2nd options, stumbling upon this diamond in the rough! I've been going to what one might deem hippy woo woo wellness centers for this kind of thing for years now. And as much as I'm a self-proclaimed lover of all things woo woo, I've come to the conclusion nothing beats a classic oriental massage. They don't mess around when it comes to pressure, listening to your needs, and working till the timer runs out. Plus you can't beat the pricing! Definitely makes it more affordable for repeat visits. read more

I frequent this place few times a week very professional. I feel like a new person once my massage is done foot massage and body massages is what I go for . Very friendly staff love this place ! Very reasonable price ! read more

Came here since my neck has been killing me to the point of barely sleeping and it was excellent. I got the deep tissue and foot massage and it was super reasonably priced. The location is in a strip mall but you do not even think about it once you are in your massage room. The staff were friendly yet chill. I definitely recommend this place and will be back again! read more

Worth your money. My back and neck ache so bad and i asked for a deep tissue mahn they dug my knots and i was in pain for one day and it felt so much better the next days. This is not a patty cake massage place. I recommend this place for a real massage. read more

Got in right away. My massage therapist was very polite and professional. He also knew how to work out the massive knots in my shoulders that other high end massage therapists have not been able to do in the past. Will definitely be going back! read more

Excellent chair massage! I have also had a full body massage at this location. Overall it was good. They also offer an incentive card- after a certain number of visits you receive a free massage. read more

Ive been here 3 times, they are all wonderful but Jeff is my favorite. I have never had a massage this good.

I have been a long-time customer at New Oriental, and have great things to say about them. The therapists are thorough and kind. They check in with you to see if the pressure is enough, they make sure to focus on your problem areas, and they are always very sweet. I appreciate their pricing scale, and they offer a "buy 9//get 1 free" punch card. I have come in with my partner for a couple's massage, and that was lovely, too. My only complaint is that if the phone rings during your massage, they will often pause to answer it. It takes my mind out of the relaxed state that I'm in, which isn't ideal. Aside from that, nothing negative to say! You also don't usually need an appointment; I typically just walk in. Sometimes I have to wait a bit, but that's okay with me. Give them a try! read more

This was my first visit, the masseuse made me feel comfortable, and she did a good job! The prices are fair. And I will be back soon !

I love going here, it has changed my life! I love a good massage that's not to hard and not way soft. This place is very reasonably priced for the quality of the massage. I have been coming to this place for almost 5 years, over the years have sent all my friends, loved ones and even paid for my boss to have a massage for Christmas this year! Enjoy! You won't regret it. read more

This place is the best !!! Relaxing ambience, fair price, kind staff. My masseuse saved me from months of muscle aches, knots, and tension from serving at a restaurant. I'll definitely be going back again, and have told a few friends about it as well. Treat yoself, it's worth it !!! read more

Got every spot and the hot stones were the best !!! Most definitely coming back. Everyone there was nice and welcoming, makes you feel so comfortable! read more

I was a long time member of Massage Envy in Golden Valley. I decided to try this place out as an alternative because every time I left Massage Envy I felt like I didn't get my money's worth and they are expensive. I am so very glad I did. The massage actually helps areas for me of concern, unlike Massage Envy. Firm means firm and they will even walk on your back. I read the other review where the customers sensed the staff was racist and that is extremely unfortunate if true. There's no room for racism, especially against black people when it's pretty well known that all of us are out of Africa and simply adapted to a different environment. read more

One of the best massages I have had. The hot oil and hot stone hour long massage from Linda helped ease the pain in my lower back, quads and hamstrings. New Oriental Massage is one of the few places that actually listen to you when you share with them the areas of your body that need more attention. I highly recommend this place. read more

I went in because Massage Envy had no appointments available. I am sooo glad I came here! My back was bothering me all night and now I feel amazing! Jeff did a great job at getting the toughest knots out. The pressure was deep, but it wasn't uncomfortable. I walked out of there feeling so relaxed and light as feather. He hit all the right pressure points. Hands down the best massage! read more

This place kinda creeped me out yet I might still go back. Also it seemed as if the rooms weren't private and only had curtains and not doors. read more

OMG! This was the most amazing massage I've ever had. I was ready to go to the hospital because I was in soo much pain.. I decided to go here and I can't believe how I feel.. it was so relaxing, sensual, and professional. I just can't believe it. Thank you! read more

I recently found this hidden gem when looking for a last minute massage. At the time I had neck pain and very tight upper back muscles. The woman who worked on my back and neck definitely knew what she was doing. I have been completely pain free since my massage session. I look forward to returning for another massage in the near future. read more

I hate to make my first review on yelp a negative one but this place and the staff there is just something else. The moment my girl and I walked in, they gave us attitude and we could sense how racist they are. If you are black don't go here simply put. We left without getting a massage when we needed it so badly. read more
