I am currently a resident here at Elements Apartments and I have been following the quarantine rules since March 9th. The apartment complex decided to close down all of the amenities to keep everyone safe. Well on June 9th, 2020, the world has been walking around and doing things as if nothing happened but on June 9th over 10 of my family members were diagnosed with covid and they live in OC, they thought is was funny to get out and enjoy Memorial Day weekend. I'm sure we have plenty of unhappy campers here in this complex and clearly don't care for others health, I suffer from asthma and it's severe since I was a kid. My point being is that I am very very thankful that Elements Luxury Apartments is refusing to reopen for the sake of everyone's health and well-being. Personally I pay $3,430 a month and honestly I don't care about the amenities right now, all I care about is staying safe and I am so happy to say that management is doing an exceptional job! read more

I was completely lied to! The insulation in the building is extremely poor, which means you can hear everything from tenants who live on adjoining floors. You will have absolutely ZERO privacy and forget playing your music and having get-togethers without having security called on you. We should beable to do what ever we choose. Management you need to start disclosing your poor insulation problem upfront. I also heard you guys have deleted negative reviews from yelp. Shame on you!!!! read more

Came from Metropolis and thought my nightmare would be over but Regina is here and she is the rudest person in leasing ive ever dealt with. And I come from a leasing rep background. Other than that it's been great 5 stars for Natalia and isamaria at corporate. Regina gets not even 1 star from me. In response to Elements comment to my original review: Management does not respond to concerns, if so why do tenants have to continuously follow up with you? Clearly it's not addressed. I called to ask about Motion Fitness, Natalia told me "unfortunately we are not offering the gym membership", only to have memberships offered a week later? Seems disorganized. Again, your claims of following protocol falls short of what you were actually enforcing (no capacity limits, if people didn't "check in" with the tool they could still use the facility - no one was monitoring entrances to enforce sign-ups, capacity limits, no fever checks, or masks). While you may be an equal opportunity employer and/or fair housing, there's just a lack of diversity within management and the community. Especially when you asked us to show support for nurses, but didn't ask to show support for equality of lives. As a Health Professional, I agree that you had to shut things down but you could have created a more functional operation, especially with all the feedback you were getting from tenants. There was such a lack of you offering people what they paid a lot of rent money for. For example: it's so simple to pull equipment out on the turf. You already have sanitizing wipes (although they dry out in 10 seconds), our rent covers the cleaning staff salary, so I'd imagine they can continue sanitizing the equipment as they did before. That's just 1 example of the lack of doing right by your renters. Again, to anyone considering living here, keep in mind this is a hotel-style, corporate housing profit machine. And with COVID restrictions, is it worth paying for everything that's shut down? We left Elements for a local landlord who cares and is attentive - and while we're paying a little bit extra for a house, our garage is safe (and attached to our house), we have more space (and have created a workout space), we have no obnoxious noise above us or in the hallways; and we have green grass, trees and plants outside our windows, lots of places to walk to, a friendly neighborhood and a much higher quality of life. It's totally worth it to pay slightly more for something besides Elements. read more

Moving, in general, can be a complete headache, let alone moving across the country. From the moment Regina called me to set up an appointment I was blown away by the high-class customer service we received. From doing facetime walkthroughs of the property to ensuring I had information for a local hairdresser and soap maker. Regina made the move-in process exciting and something to look forward to. Then on move-in day, I had an amazing maintenance technician come to my apartment and ensure everything was working properly and taught me how to lock the backdoor as sometimes it can be difficult. Well, where should I start? We were so excited about this place as it is was the latest project in Irvine. The leasing office was nice and that was about everything that we got to see 2 months ago when we inquired about the new apartments. One thing that you have to know about Garden Communities is that they are always under staff so on the day that we visited the leasing office, there was only one lady available. She showed us the 2Br model and told us that the three bedroom apartment would be the same only it has an additional bedroom. We trusted her, paid application fees and deposit, two months later, when finally we got a green light to check the apartment (a week before moving date) the ugly truth popped out. Not only the layout was different from the model that the leasing agent showed us, the unit was surrounded by construction fields, very poorly designed ( two couches would not get fit), the closets were very small and the rent was to the roof. There was absolutely no soundproofing isolation there either. A few neighbors were talking in the hallways and it was like they are in your house talking out loud. We contacted the management team and informed them that there was clearly a misrepresentation here and requested a refund but they denied and didn't care if we would share this negative review with others. A friendly advice: don't even waist your money with Garden Communities apartments. They are so unprofessional, always understaff, expensive, with the lowest construction quality. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE! The office doesn't care about you or your belongings. There is no security we have had over 20 break ins in the last couple weeks and all they do is tell you to call the police. My car was broken into 2 weeks ago and the office has done nothing about it more security or monitoring people getting into our parking garage. My car was STOLEN from our designated parking spot in a enclosed parking garage. Yes actually stolen. There are police here every single day. SWAT was on our rooftop a couple weeks back. There are sketchy people walking around. People in the gym that do not live in the complex. It's disgusting how unsafe this apartment complex is. It's not a safe place and is way to over priced to be scared to walk down your hallway. Our cabinets have broke , our sink broke and flooded our whole apartment. I spoke with the folks in the leasing office at element for an opportunity to rent an apartment, we found a room that they told me was ready for move in immediately (I had 7 days to move). The day after seeing the property I had decided to apply, I called the office right before submitting the application ($250 fee + $49 application fee) to make sure the apartment was available to move in. They told me the two apartments I were looking at were both available so I submitted the application. They called me one hour later to thank me for choosing their apartment and then only to call me 2 hours later to tell me move in won't be possible until a week after my required date. When I went on to ask about the process of how this is possible the leasing office told me how "if I knew the industry I would understand how this works." It his hilarious to me because my family has been running a property management company for 20 years and I grew up in this industry and its just a load of BS that the employee was trying to cover up. While my experience might be unique in a sense that I needed an immediate move in, it is quite indicative of how the property is run (advertises 6 weeks off but offers 4 weeks off for example). Also, to add onto the issues hope everyone who is considering this apartment they are kicking off construction on the new building in the lot connected to the current building. Having worked in construction for several years I know this is no small undertaking and will be an eye sore (and noise sore) for your time here. read more

This is the worst place I have ever lived. Giving elements apartments -10000 out of 10. 1. Management: My family has been dealing with nosy neighbors (same people) for over 5 months now and nothing has ever been done. Security has been called about 25 times and management has witnessed the disturbance first hand. The solution the new property manager offered was for us to move out or downgrade our apartment 100 sq less at the same price. Forget about an equivalent transfer. Management does not want to deal with the problem directly except sweeping it under the rug. 2. Noise: This is like living in downtown LA, low income and student housings. Loud musics on the street at 2 AM from everyday of the week. Motion fitness next door plays loud music starting at 5AM. Disrespectful neighbor playing he's IMAX theater turning up he's bass at all odd hours. Elements claim this is a luxury property. What luxury property allows this to happen within their community? SMH. Additionally, you will see strange people everywhere. Looking into your apartments and stealing off your balcony. Fire alarms always going off. People are using there apartments for Air BNB's. More friends of residence use the amenity's then people that live here. I wouldn't recommend elements apartments. I have serious privacy concerns living here and honestly don't feel safe. If management did what they were supposed to do, it would be a decent place. Unfortunately they could careless about their community residences it's all about your money. read more

As a resident for over a year, the staff is great about taking care of the grounds, amenities, and issues that come up on occasion. Robin in the Leasing office Is amazing. She always accommodates the residents and makes sure that the community operates at the highest quality. Her friendliness and helpfulness is always a pleasure. And -Regina is absolutely top notch! She walked me through the Leasing process every step and went beyond to ensure it was an easy transition, taking care of every little detail flawlessly. These ladies are so nice and fun to work with. The apartments are not sound proof at all. Disrespectful neighbors that play their IMAX theater and load music all day and night for months. they've been contacted by management and they still don't care about their neighbors nor community. We're paying $2,600 for a 1 bedroom apartment for loud neighbors, building and appliance are falling apart, No gym, No pool So much more happend but these are some of the main reasons i want out of my lease. The community is new so the units and amenities (most that we can't use right now) are in great shape and have a modern feel. However, more established communities tend to have a more lush landscape, which I enjoy at the last community. Also, my morning rest is disrupted by the workout group happening across the street. Every morning at about 5:45 a.m. even before the sun comes up, I hear loud music and instructions being shouted. I'm all for working out but can't it be done quieter? They can turn up the music at 7:30 a.m. I have to get up, shut my window, turn on the fan (since it's summer), then try to go back to sleep. Then I have meetings and work through out the day with even louder music instructions blasted. On the plus side, Jesus Gonzalez came twice to fix the smoke detectors that were out of battery and kept chirping very loudly every few minutes. He came last week to change the batteries, but they died again a few days later, so had to come back yesterday to change them out. 3 stars for the community 5 stars for Jesus Gonzalez read more
