After my previous review, management publicly replied asking me to contact them to "resolve" the issue and provided the number 949-724-1510. I did contact them using the exact number they posted publicly. Unfortunately, nothing was actually resolved. What makes this situation even worse is that while the property publicly acted like they wanted to help, I later discovered that the disputed balance had been sent to collections without any meaningful resolution process or proper communication with me first. As a result, my credit score dropped by around 100 points across the major credit bureaus. This is not a small issue. In the United States, damaging someone's credit can affect their ability to rent another apartment, obtain loans, qualify for credit cards, or even impact employment and insurance applications. The most frustrating part is the contradiction: Publicly, they appear responsive and professional in the review section. Privately, there was no real accountability, no serious effort to resolve the dispute, and then the account was escalated in a way that caused major financial damage. I still never received satisfactory explanations or supporting documentation for several of the charges, including duplicate utility billing and excessive move-out deductions. Future renters need to understand this clearly: A friendly public response on Google does not necessarily mean your issue will actually be handled fairly. I lived here for 2 years in a 2bedroom 2 bathroom with balcony. The inside of apartment is nice and updated. I mainly dealt with Hiba as manager who was nice and available. I had no problems the first year I lived there. During the 2nd year Skyloft was on the news for not doing a background check on a serial burglar who stole from her neighbors apartment. Skyloft never told the residents and I had to find out from the news. Also there is only one door that enters and leaves the garage. There were multiple times I was late to work because of the door malfunction which was unacceptable especially when there is no email communication about it being broken or when it'll be fixed. These times I had to uber to work! The final straw was how they dramatically increased my monthly rent. When I moved out I cleaned the apartment. They never returned my security deposit and sent a bill stating I broke a tile. I legit never broke a tile and asked them to show me proof which they couldn't do. I spoke to Tyler multiple times about this and when they couldn't find proof they told me they will take my deposit but won't have me pay the extra $500. Fast forward 2 years later I got sent to collections ! They never sent me any email or letter about why they sent me to collections. I contacted Skyloft everyone is new and no one knows anything about this bill or why it was sent to collections. read more

I called 2-3 time and no one picked up, but eventually my call got through and I was able to book an appointment. A few days passed, I didn't get an email confirmation, so I tried calling 2-3 times, and yet again, no one picks up the call. It would've been much easier if I could book an appointment online, so sucks they don't have that in place either. read more

How about the convenience of your residents who don't want to smell or see trash every time they get back home or walk through the hallway at night. People can easily drop off their own trash bags in the trash shoot, not only smell that gets trapped in a closed hallway but it's unsanitary and will bring insects all over the hallways. I lived at Skyloft for over two years and had to move, but recently came back because of how great this community is! I can honestly say that the leasing office is very personable and wants to ensure residents have a great experience. Leasing Management: Kevin is awesome to work with! He is very accommodating and communicative whenever I have a need. I know that if I reach out, I'll always get a quick response. Building Maintenance: Juan and George have always been so helpful with anything I need fixed inside of my unit. The timeliness of putting in a work order, to the time of it being fixed and complete is quick and done correctly. Amenities: One of the main things that stands out is the resident bar on the rooftop. Steve is super personable with all residents, and having this amenity is what contributes to the sense of community, and ultimately what made me return back. Policy Changes/Opportunities: Need to invest in digital key pad locks. It'd be nice to know that you can check on an app if your door is locked when you are out of town. Since Skyloft is a luxury apartment, this would also make it more modern. -Ring doorbells are no longer allowed. As a female, this would make me feel more comfortable knowing that my unit is safe and secure both when I am home, and traveling. read more

Wish we could've stayed longer here at Skyloft but due to a vicious dog bite, we felt the need to leave for our peace of mind. On 11-10-24, just 2 months into our lease at Skyloft, our dog was attacked by another dog that lived 2 doors down. I reported the incident to management and no accommodations were made. Our dog was not herself after that point and we decided to move out. When we explained the issue, management told us we had to pay 2 months rent to break the lease even though we were moving out of the fear of our dogs safety. We couldn't take our dog outside without the fear of her being attacked again and she wasn't the same after the dog bite. This is not a dog friendly apartment. Since then, Skyloft also charged us over $1000 for us to move out even though we were only in the apartment for 4 months. I've attached photos of how we left the apartment when we moved out. We were charged for a "full janitorial" fee, near a full paint fee, and a $425 fee for "repairs". read more

Here are three major issues potential residents should know: 1. Bait-and-Switch Upgrade Policy. We were repeatedly assured we could transfer to a larger unit mid-lease, spending months checking availabilities - only to be abruptly told the policy was cancelled when we finally found a unit. No advance notice was given, even when we visited the leasing office multiple times. Now we face paying double rent or moving during my partner's Bar Exam. 2. Approval Reversals on Safety Features. After burglaries occurred, we installed a camera doorbell with written approval - then months later were told to remove it or we will be evicted. Retroactive rule enforcement is unacceptable when safety is concerned. 3. Perpetual Construction, Missing Amenities. The promised rooftop jacuzzi has been "coming soon" for two years, with no end to construction in sight. This was a key factor in our lease decision. While the location and unit itself are fine, the constant policy changes, lack of transparency, and broken promises make it hard to recommend. I have had such a great experience here. This is honestly the best place I have ever lived. The amenities speak for themselves, but there's so much more you don't think of. The area is FULL of restaurants and things to do, and it's a quick Uber to the airport. The staff here have been amazing. From the beginning, the manager Kevin made the entire process very stress-free; from submitting all the paperwork, to getting insurance and even helping me signing up for utilities he was there every step of the way. Tyler even helped make my parents coffee one morning when they were helping me move in. It's a touch of hospitality that you don't find often. The apartment itself is quite nice. If I could give zero stars, I would. This apartment complex has the most incompetent and unprofessional leasing team I've ever encountered. Tyler never replies to emails, and he's rude, dismissive, and completely unfriendly. Jack is even worse--clueless, unhelpful, and absolutely horrible at his job. It honestly feels like they go out of their way to make the leasing process as difficult and frustrating as possible. The entire team is lazy and unwilling to help with even the simplest questions. They don't know what they're talking about half the time, and when you press them for clarity, you either get attitude or silence. It's obvious they don't want to work and have no interest in making the experience easier for potential or current residents. And don't be fooled by the "positive" reviews on here--most of them are fake, written by staff. Also, the complex incentivizes residents to write glowing reviews by offering rewards. We just signed our third lease at Skyloft and love it more than ever. The staff is very accommodating and easy to get a hold of and we love all the events they provide! The lagoon offers the perfect escape to relax-whether you're catching some rays, reading a good book, or simply chilling in a peaceful setting. What makes it even better are the amazing events they regularly host. Whether it's themed parties, live music, or casual hangouts there's always something going on. Not to mention, food is catered a few times a week, and there's a full bar open Tuesday-Sunday..... Almost feels like a luxury getaway right at home. The staff here is top-notch as well. Steve, the bartender, is always friendly and easy to converse with. Kevin, the assistant business manager, and Tyler, the leasing manager are incredibly helpful and make sure the building is running smoothly. You can tell they genuinely care about the residents, and it shows in the way they make you feel welcome. I decided not to renew my lease today. The rooms are enticing, facilities are quite welcoming. My favorite part is their garbage valet service. HOWEVER, the management office is horrible. They are basically Mafia. They respond to no emails; their line is forever busy unless you pretend to be a prospective tenant. I decided not to renew because of the 2 following incidents that have really crossed the line, making them more of a bully than just a messy but forgivable management. 1. They towed my vehicle away while I was on a work trip. I have an EV and have always parked at an EV specific parking spot for about 2 months. At the time of registration, I asked if I'd need to reserve a spot and was told by the management that the waitlist was too long; if I put my name down I would probably hear back 6 months later. I said okay, will check again later. My 2nd question was where would you recommend I park? The answer was, "Any EV spot that is vacant." I also asked how would I know if they are reserved, to which they said "a Reserved sign would've been put on." 2 Months later (which was 3 days ago), while I was on a work trip in HK, I got an email and a missed call in the middle of the night. The email contains 2 simple sentences. "Hello XXX, you've parked in another resident's parking space. Please move as soon as possible." I immediately called back (at my own expense) at 3AM and asked if the spot has been newly reserved? I got an extremely confused answer, saying he would need to find out and get back to me later. I then explained that the earliest I'd be able to move my vehicle would be next week, when I'm back from my work trip. He said okay and will update the status of the spot via email again. Of course, the ending is I did not hear back and came back to find my vehicle towed. Yet the spot where it was towed IS still NOT marked as 'reserved'. I called the police to find out about it because the management again was out of reach and paid 500+ dollars to release my vehicle from the DTS. In a multiverse where there were countless possibilities, this was REALLY the worst ending. 2. Occassionally, one of my neighbours would play really loud music, those beats and bass were more commonly heard in a night-club kind, late into the night. As a law-abiding Asian, my solution was usually earplugs and melatonin gummy. The next day of one such night, I received an extremely bullish and formal warning letter accusing me as the noise maker? Please refer to the letter in screenshot. To make things worse, they spelt my name wrongly? Then I realized they are mass-sending these letters in an attempt to find the culprit exactly because they can't find the culprit. Familiar? Careless and shoddy in being unfriendly and unprofessional. I replied with an equally bullish (I hope) email explaining that I wasn't the noisemaker and requested an apology for the wrong accusation. Again, I didn't hear back. To prospective residents: good luck because the apartment's duties to you (dear residents) ended the moment you signed the leases. To current residents: I hope you keep a close look at your properties especially your vehicle. They will be towed away from your own home without a good excuse. Updates to this: The management got back and explained that all EV spots are reserved, just for some reason, there's no sign on atm. They are friendly nice folks when you speak to them in person: Ericka, Kevin and Taylor. I love my apartment and I love living in the community but there are several red flags that make living here not only stressful but a total disregard for the safety and enjoyment of my residence. 1. For nearly a month I couldn't sleep due to a flaw in the construction of the building; management made no concessions or adjustments after I had to find the source of the issue. 2. This is a non smoking building and management was aware that there was a weed problem with the tenant below me and said that they knew there was an issue but when I reported it; initially acted as if they were confused even after security entered the apartment and told me they were smoking weed. 3. I have had a billing issue with the complex where they are trying to make me pay money that's already been paid and have gone back and forth from refusing my rent, threatening eviction, then saying they will accept my rent but still proceed with eviction to then telling me they don't have time to hear me talk for an hour because they are busy. The back and forth has been extremely stressful, the discriminating comments by one of their staff has been disappointing and their constant shift in blame instead of fixing their accounting and third party billing issues is not only unethical but the constant change in instructions is making me not able to enjoy where I live for fear of retaliation. 4. A bigger issue is the retaliation of not being able to renew my lease given their error. I have provided bank proof and taken my computer down showing them they were paid by logging into our account they still are holding me responsible.for their lack of due diligence with reaching out to Rent Cafe. 5. This building has had a prostitution ring busted 2 doors down from me, a resident broke into another residents apartment and was living there while she was away and packages are stolen and managements is not understanding that we want ring cameras to protect ourselves. We were told ring cameras were allowed then all residents were sent notices that we were in violation of the terms of our lease. I was told we can have them on the inside but how does that affect us if someone is breaking in or coming to our door. No one wants to monitor the inside of their home 24/7 via motion detection. I would love to continue my residence at Skyloft but the breach in my contract and mistreatment force me to have to make choices I don't want to make and leave me feeling defenseless and discriminated against a big company. I hope they resolve this and how Hiba the manager and Kevin the billing coordinator treat not only me but other residents so this feels like a home and not us having to accept poor treatment because we need a descent place to stay. read more

A single working professional or retirees dream! But we are a family of four. However this was still a nice place to be for two years. The bathrooms are massive. There is free coffee daily in the downstairs lobby and 6th floor rooftop. I loved the 24 hour fitness room! I could always get an overnight workout in while the littles were asleep. We were on the Main Street side of building. So the outside was a bit noisy. I recommend renting facing the pool or tot yards if you need quietness. Also, food trucks! There usually is two trucks a week and a Taco restaurant upstairs on Tuesdays. The hallways are super long, so having the option for a reserved parking spot in the garage was nice. However I do not recommend this place if you have small children. The residents allow their dogs to dump all over the tot yard, which is the only dedicated child space here. It always smelled like trash and dog dump out there no matter how much the workers cleaned. And it's not the cleaners or the apartment staff at fault here. This was just careless and dirty residents. Especially since there is a separate dog park right in front of the building smh. There's a rooftop where you can let your kids bike since no cars usually park up there. But there is simply not a whole lot here for children. The leasing office, everyone there is kind and responsive. The maintenance team works hard and gets requests fixed usually the next day and sometimes the same day we would put a ticket in. Hiba is the best! That's who we worked with mostly. There's also weekend entertainment or something happening on the 6th floor every other week. Other cool stuff: valet trash pick up, lockers for packages, lunch buffets you can pay for, bike storage, lots of cabinets in the apartment, high ceilings, huge windows, Sonos sound system, infinity pool. All in all, this is an upscale, nice place that has lots of luxuries. The only reason for 4 stars is because it wasn't child friendly. read more
