Ambiance: fabulous. Loved the live music. Scott and Lacey were amazing and hospitable. A little loud but not too concerning. Service: slowwwwwww. Our app came quickly but the drinks and food came so slowly. Also between us asking for waters while we look at the cocktail menu was a lot of elapsed time. Food: the steak frites were very salty (and I love salt) but definitely the best meal ordered. The "Mac attack" tasted cheeseless -- literally tasted like water. The chicken Alfredo was "mid" but also a super tiny portion. Both pastas looked like kids meals. I guess they were priced appropriately at least. Not pictured was the Donny burger -- described as "eh it was fine". All left more to be desired. We really wanted to try the cinnamon cake but decided against since service was sooooo slow. The peach tea was bad. The oasis marg was okay. When we asked for wine, we were told "I don't know what we have let me show you" and were shown the screen that listed: white, red, rose, and sparkling. The wine should be listed on the menu with the beer and the cocktails. I'd maybe come again to sit at the bar and have a drink or two if there's live music, but otherwise, this is skippable for a full meal service. read more

3.5 stars. I hate yelp makes us do whole numbers. Started with the crab rangoons. Disappointing. Almost tasted like tuna salad instead of a crab mix. But...the manager came out to ask what we didn't like. So that was nice. Did the mushrooms as well and those seemed to go over better. Happy hour margaritas for $5....fiesty. Definitely worth $5. Two max for me. A had the meatloaf. Sort of disappointed. He said it was overcooked. But liked the potatoes. C had the salmon and she liked it. Risotto was a little "not" creamy...but it was fine. Salmon was good. D had the Rosemary chicken: was also good. Sides of seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes went over well. Philly cheesesteak was okay. Meat was a over done....but the cheese makes it okay. Fries aren't the crispy kind...FYI. But yummy. Jessa was delightful. The place is adorable...great ambiance. sadly I had to give this place a 1 star when I wish I could of not given this restaurant any star. we tried elements for the second time, to see if the first time was just a minor "one off". but nope...I have the waitress her full tip as she was friendly and gave her the review to fire the chef. we ate a simple burger and home fries. and my hubby had the biscuits and gravy with eggs. I ate maybe 4 bites of my food and he did not even touch most of his. the food was not fit for even my dogs. sad because we had high hopes ! Based on this owner's response below..its also their Motto to not be able to be mature about a review. First off, I didn't say 400.00 meals. I did say we go to Docks and High end restaurants in Dallas and know quality food. You can serve wagu beef but that does not mean, your chef knows how to cook it. You can serve homade biscuits but not know how to cook them. What customers? You had 10 people there for lunch on a Saturday When we were there. I feel like your response is quite immature. You should be able to take good comments and the learning comments as the same. read more

Came to Elements on a chilly late November Sunday evening. The outside patio bar was fairly full with people watching Sunday night football, but inside there were only a few other diners. There were overhead heaters around the outside bar but somewhat strangely the door to the main building was kept open and there was no heat inside. Our waitress wore a puffer jacket both inside and outside. Brrrr. When the waitress came around to take our orders, since I had never been here before, I asked her what was the best thing they did, what was their standout menu item. She didn't have an answer and seemed confused. Then she walked across the room and pulled something off the wall and came back to our table. She said these are our specials and proceeded to run down them. Ok, weird since why wouldn't they always go through the specials, and this is also not what I asked. So I asked her again in a different way, what are they known for. She was still confused and then just ran through the regular menu items. Ok, so absolutely no useful guidance on the menu and their food. Anyways, I ordered the steak frites, medium. It came out with absolutely no sear and was rare. Additionally the cut was very fatty, with large chunks of fat on each piece of meat. Yuck. The lady had the 456 cheeseburger and said it was delish. Scott and crew do a great job at welcoming their guests especially when we had to change seating due to elderly requirements. Tried the outdoor bar seating first and it was great for me but too sunny for others! The food was very tasty and we had six different dishes. Chicken fried steak is large and very tasty as was crab dish. I would like to see some decoration in the dish presentation as Picture food is a good thing. read more

Got around to trying out Elements for the first time last night and I was really impressed. Seating is indoor and outdoor, with a full restaurant menu inside and bar menu outside. On the weekends, there is live music on the patio as well. We sat outside at a small table and were greeted promptly by our server. Drinks were very reasonable, with mid tier vodka and soda running around seven bucks and specialty cocktails in the neighborhood of fifteen. I didn't look to see what beer is going for but I'm sure it was also pretty well priced. Had the crab puff app and appreciated the large size of each wrapper. The slaw bed it came on was okay, but the crab wrappers themselves were large and flavorful. Would absolutely order again. The star of the night was the open fire-grilled ribeye special. For fifty dollars, they offered a &14-oz ribeye, corn on the cob and loaded mashed potatoes. The ribeye was not thick but not puny paper thin either, a necessity when using open flame. Too thick and it would be hard to get the centers cooked adequately, too thin and it would be hard to not overcook. This cut was a great thickness for its open fire application and a very generous size. While ribeyes must have some little pockets of fat due to the cut and to protect the meat during cooking, it wasn't overly fatty and there wasn't a lot of "trim" or inedible pieces either. I'd estimate about 12 ounces were completely edible, which is a really good ratio for that type of ribeye cut. The exterior char and flavor of the steak reminded me of the way my grandpa; a cattleman, grilled steaks. Very nostalgic, very tasty. Perfect dark sear on the exterior, good medium rare with some chewiness in the middle. The fat renders so beautifully when cooked over a charcoal or wood fire, leaving little crispy fat pockets at the ends and melt in your mouth tender bites of meat nestled against it. I was a very happy camper eating my steak last night and barely even had room to try the sides. The corn was fine, nothing standout but nothing bad. The loaded mashed potatoes were super yummy and I look forward to ordering them again with other dishes. All in all, a wonderful evening and it came in at $100 for two of us: Two drinks and a glass of tea each, the appetizer and one steak special, which we split. Very in line with other upscale lounge type dining establishments or when ordering steak at any nicer restaurant. Pair it with attentive but not overbearing service (including a table visit by the grill master to check on how we liked the steak) and I'm completely satisfied with the experience. Final note, ambiance of the patio was stellar. There was an acoustic guitar player singing a variety of 90s country and Texas country music and he didn't have his amp/audio set so loud that it overwhelms attempts at conversation, but was loud enough to hear clearly at the back of the patio. So many places get that part so very wrong and ruin an otherwise nice setting. Looking forward to supporting this unique establishment as much as possible. We need more places like this out here, and especially on this side of the lake. read more

We had a private birthday party in one area. It was a perfect setting for the party. The table setting was elegant and they allowed us to add our own decorations as well. Everything we had from our appetizer all the way to our dessert was fabulous! We started with the brisket queso and chips, they were a meal all by themselves and so good! They were great with my margarita. Kudos to the bar tender, I'm a skinny margarita lover and they knocked it out of the park! The wedge salad was very fresh and crispy. But the real star was the steak! It was braised and it was literally so tender would almost melt in your mouth. The flavor was amazing!! We ended the night with the cinnamon toast crunch bread pudding which was recommended to us by the owner. It was sinful! The couple with us got the brownie with ice cream and OH MY!! It was actually better than the cinnamon toast crunch, but I'm a fan of warm brownies and ice cream!! The atmosphere was great, our young server was so very attentive and had a great personality! Staff is nice even under stress. I was hoping to have a better experience. Was told that two servers called in and most of the staff were catering to a large group. I don't know if I will try them again. Yet, I'm wandering, if under better circumstances if it would be better. Was there for around 40 minutes before our drinks were served. Took 20 before someone even took our drink orders. Had to stop another server to even get another drink, at that time we went ahead and placed our orders since it took another 30ish minutes to be acknowledged. Our second round of drinks took over 45 minutes to get to us. Shortly after our drinks were served our food came out. I wish that I had ordered something different. For the price I paid for a Philly steak sandwich it was really dry and seemed cheaply made. For $7 down the road, Kamman's Exxon Philly is much better. Others with me seemed to be happy with their food. The burger was good, I tried my wife's. But, I've had better burgers for much cheaper. There was no wow factor to the burger, just a basic burger you can get at any dine in restaurant. After our food was served we didn't get any more service other than our plates picked up and they brought more plates for our dessert. After sitting another hour we finally asked for our check that we never got. Ended up stopping another server to tell them that we were going to walk around to check out the place. Went to the bar area to listen to the guy sing and was basically not acknowledged for the rest of our time there. Had to then go to the checkout counter to pay and leave. We would have probably ordered several more dinks But, the time for service was just too long. read more

Amazing Night! My husband and I had a Birthday Dinner for our granddaughter who was turning 15 years old. The service was great, sad I didn't get waitresses's name. She was super sweet and very helpful recommending the special for the evening (10oz Chicken Fried Steak with garlic mashed potatoes, fresh local green beans with a nice loaded salad.) The atmosphere inside was quiet, very clean and quant. Chef Mario came out and made us a Birthday Banana Foster. Great for a date night. outside they had a nice size bar with acoustic guitar player with a super talent bar tender. We will beck and highly recommend.
