The modern, chic decor sets a wonderful ambiance, and the service was immediate and welcoming. The food was spectacular from start to finish. We started with fresh, warm bread, followed by a flavorful seafood gumbo loaded with meat, and a generous portion of two lightly breaded crab cakes. For our mains, the 10oz ribeye and 8oz tenderloin were seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection--compliments to the chef! They came with a lovely side of baby potatoes and vegetables. We capped off a perfect meal with a warm pecan tart and ice cream. I highly recommend coming here. We noticed they have a pizza oven and plan to add pizza to the menu soon; we already can't wait for our next visit to try it out! Ps parking wise, the restaurant is just off a residential neighborhood and parking is free. No need to pay for any parking, just remember to read signs.

There are specials that change weekly. The interior is decorated with New Orleans memorabilia, medium lit, cozy (not large), with jazz music in the background. Service was attentive and friendly. They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Blackened Lamb Chops (weekly special). 7. New Orleans Fisherman's Plate ($39.95). 8. Pecan Pie warmed with Ice Cream ($14.95). 9. Bananas Foster ($14.95). 10. Beignet ($14.95). Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

I also got their Yukon fries which I absolutely loved neither super thin or thick just the perfect cut. I do recommend getting the Z sauce to add on the burger or just eat with the fries, really yum. I do want to try more of their burgers the next time I visit. You can either build a burger or go with their specialty burgers. Do checkout their menu. I came in after I had been hearing about them for sometime and I can say I left happy. If you're looking for a halal option this place has crispy chicken as an option but again pls ask before you order. The overall service was very good. My food came out in timely manner. The place is clean. There is seating at the location. There is limited parking.

The wait time before we were seated was 45 minutes. But Boy was it worth it. The menu was full of abundant choices. We ordered 1. Slider burger appetizers 2. Egg rolls sampler appetizer 3. Louisiana chicken pasta 4. Chicken and shrimp gumbo 5. Shrimp tacos The food came in ridiculous large portions Wowza And everything tasted extremely flavourful We all were thoroughly full from all the food The only suggestion I have is to avoid the shrimp tacos. They came kinda soggy. But everything else was wonderful. We will definitely be back to enjoy this establishment as there is a reason they have been there so long An easy recommendation if you are looking for some casual dining of American fusion cuisine.

~ A 4.5 Star all the way~…read more This restaurant serves Mandi also know as Arabic kabsah. Kabsa is a family of mixed rice dishes that originates from Saudi Arabia and Yemen, where it is commonly regarded as a national dish. Whereas, Mandi is a traditional Yemeni dish. Mandi is usually made from rice, meat (lamb or chicken), and a mixture of spices. Basically these types of shops specialize in mainly one thing on the menu... Chicken Mandi and lamb Mandi. In Middle east, it is common to have a big dish with rice and couple of chickens on it. People sit around it and start munching on it in the same dish. Now that is out of the way. Lets talk about the experience. The Restaurant itself is quite big and has enough seating. The owner only takes cash but has an ATM on site. The restaurant is a MOM/POP shop as he and his wife are running and cooking from what I could have guessed. The food is cooked fresh and takes time to cook. The owner already informed us before hand and we knew there will be wait time and let me tell you it was all worth it. I ordered Chicken Mandi. The lunch meal came with half chicken over rice, a salad, sauce, banana and a drink. Wow, the food was fresh and hot off the stove. The chicken was cooked to perfect and very soft to eat. I loved the meal! Just make sure to account for 30 mins of cooking time or call in advance. Great meal will definitely go and try their Lamb Mandi. For My Muslim bros and Sisters - they serve halal meat

Happy to say it lived up to the hype. The interior is beautiful, chic, warm, and very inviting without feeling pretentious. Service was excellent throughout the night. We did the prix fixe set menu, which included the chicory salad, shrimp cocktail, ham plate, chicken wings, G.P. wedge, black cod, roast chicken, English chips, charred broccolini, and finished with crème caramel and a seasonal English pudding. Everything was really well done, and I especially appreciated how many vegetable-forward dishes were included. It didn't feel like the usual carb-and-protein-heavy set menu. The charred broccolini, black cod, ham plate, and G.P. wedge were definite standouts. All simple dishes on paper, but packed with bold, rich flavours. Portion sizes were also great. I've been to a few nicer client dinners where I still leave a little hungry, but that wasn't the case here at all. They also had several non-alcoholic drink options, which was nice to see and thoughtfully done. Overall, General Public delivered on food, service, and atmosphere. It felt polished but still approachable, and I can easily see why it's getting so much attention. A great spot for a client dinner and somewhere I'd happily return on my own too.
