Currently, they share the space with OnOff Toronto, a resto-bar that operates in the evening while Nanyang Kopitiam has the space up to late lunch/early dinner. I left all the ordering up to my friend who's been here before. Coincidentally, we met somebody there who lives in the same neighbourhood as her and went to the same high school as me so we invited him to join us. Here's what we had: · Signature Bak Kut Teh · Roti Canai · Wat Tan Hor · Pork Soup with Bitter Melon · Pork Noodle Soup with Seaweed · Iced Kopi · Iced Teh Everything tasted great! My favourite would be a tossup between the Signature Bak Kut Teh and Roti Canai. Tough choice. It was all good! They offer a variety of drinks and we had their Iced Kopi (Coffee) and Iced Teh (Tea). Both were refreshingly good! With good food and drinks, we would definitely come back. I'll have to try their Char Kuey Teow noodle dish next!

Kaya Toast w/Soft Boiled Eggs Nasi Lemak Truffle Soup Noodles w/ Mixed Meat The kaya toast was actually quite small bite size portion and you would dip it into the runny soft boiled egg, but we didn't really enjoy it because its more watery and not really nice and runny jammy egg run texture. Truffle Soup Noodles w/ Mixed Meat - The yellow noodles served here was gummy like texture so maybe it was pre-boiled and then will use then and the texture became like this... The soup tasted like chicken broth like and not really truffle flavouring.. The meat had some wonton, fish ball, red sausage.. It was okay, but not very Malaysian taste imo... Nasi Lemak - Their signature dish...! It was with fried chicken where it felt overly fried, and the meat was not much to enjoy.. There was very minimal ikan billis (fried anchovies), but I can say the sambal sauce with onion was nicely flavoured... I think the dish itself was a bit inconsistent. While there, it appears the owners weren't consistent with their times of how long they wish to stay open or not as they would either run out of stuff, or they didn't feel like working which isn't exactly a good vibe for customers... They'd say they run out of things, but possibly the cook just didn't want to prepare more as it'll take time... Overall, I can see now they have some more dishes to try that weren't on the menu originally, so possibly there may be improvements... Our go to Malaysian place is still downtown Canteen as we find they have best taste for Nasi Lemak and Chow Kuay Teow among other dishes as well...Pricing is less and the quality and taste is authentic!
