Saigon Spring is one of my favorite restaurants in the Capital Region. I cannot believe, I have…read morenever reviewed them. The staff, the food, the everything is just wonderful. I really like the tofu steak, the shredded tofu over rice noodles (with many vegetables), the crispy roasted chicken, the shaking beef, and the crispy vegetarian rolls. I like their pho as well, but the tofu steak is so delicious, I hardly ever deviate. I appreciate their tea options which are served in a pot. I usually get a pot of ban shan tea which is very calming. The space is neat and clean. The ambiance is created by the people more so than the decor. When you look around, people are just enjoying their food and each other. Those, like me, sitting solo, are eating our meals like it is satisfying more than physical hunger. I am truly grateful Saigon Spring and those who make it so special are here.

They are an elite beer company. The tuna tartar was delicious and fresh, I really enjoyed it. The oysters on the east coast are always amazing. My wife loved the clam chowder, I tasted it and it was very flavorful. The people with us got an amazing charcuterie board! It was very well put together. There is lots of conversation going on around us but not so loud you can't hear your own.

I also had a delicious espresso martini. We were quite full. We had no room for dessert though the couples sitting next to us had rave reviews for the chocolate cake. Perhaps next time. In addition to the wonderful meal, I liked the ambiance. The restaurant is huge. We sat at a table right up front. The red and white checked tablecloths are classic. The large bar and decor harken to a different era. The art and images on the walls celebrate the Capital Region's history. The photos along the bar pay tribute to former service men and women from the region. I also liked the gracious and efficient wait staff. They were so welcoming.
