I forgot to mention that when we said we had expected more from the pedicure, the man got super defensive and yelled that when my friend made the appointment, that's what she scheduled. But it wasnt true because, we had never been there before and like most people, she just called to make an appointment not knowing the specifics of what the choices are. The woman (maybe his wife) showed us a card and it had the variations which are NOT listed on the website. No one took any accountability or apologized. I had the feeling that they got mad that we didn't want their gel polish and since they couldn't upsell that, decided to treat two new customers like garbage. When I went back to review the one star reviews, I realized that those experiences were consistent and if you look at the 5 star reviews, those seems like they are all along the same lines and them trying to get you to buy their gel polish service. PSA you do have to pay for art work. Annie is terrific. A lot of ppl ask where I get my nails done and it's this place. I wear a lot of designs on my hands, and Hana is great. Came in as a walk in since I was getting an oil change in the area,I asked for Gel-X pink French tip square shape. Annie was the amazing nail tech who took care of me & made sure I was satisfied with everything during each step before moving forward,from length to shaping to color.She also provided me with a water during my visit and told me it was getting hot outside & it was important to keep hydrated which I thought was very kind,especially since I had been walking. I used to go to Kim's Nails in Garden Grove but unfortunately the ownership had to change and the vibe and customer service is not quite the same. THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!!! I came in with my cousin to get our nails done.. Hanna did my nails (which I loved) and Henry did my cousins nails ( which she HATED) In the past I've gotten my nails done by Henry & I asked him to make a small correction he blew up saying "THIS IS WHY I DON'T ANSWER YOUR CALLS, BECAUSE YOUR PICKY!!!" Keep in mind this was my first time coming here that day asking him to correct his work, I immediately apologized and said oh sorry and felt scared to ask anything (which I shouldn't feel) it's their job to correct their work! Since I had a bad experience I told my cousin about it therefore my cousin passed on asking Henry to fix her nails. As soon as he left we quietly asked Hanna if she could fix her nails since we didn't want Henry to get upset. Hana said something loudly in her language to her people and EVERYONE blew up!! The wife came yelling at us saying we're not going to fix her nails , we're just going to take it off and you have to pay additional $10!!!! I asked her to calm down and told her if this was any other day we wouldn't ask you to fix her nails since we'd be too scared BUT since it's my cousins engagement party today she would like her nails to look good. Henry's wife literally said " I don't care if it's her engagement party" and didn't want Henry nor Hanna to correct the nail work.. She also insisted that no one else was allowed to remove her nails except for her! Since she was so angry & loud my cousin didn't want her removing her nails since she could possibly hurt her while being so angry! We asked a second time again if someone else could remove her nails and she was yelling "NO"!" at that point I paid for my nails and we walked out.. we didn't want to pay for service we didn't like nor did we want Henry's wife removing our nails ( since she didn't work on her nails) so of-course her husband stood behind our car to trap us and the wife was yelling in my face! I made a police report & just payed for something I didn't like because I didn't have any time for the police to show up.. we had an engagement party to attend I will never forget how horrible these people made us feel just for asking them to correct their work P.S since I can't reply to the comment Elegant nails left below I'd like to address the lies!!! 1.How do you know we didn't call the police? You weren't in the car with us.. 2.How do you know the police found us? I left the parking lot & waited for an hour for the police to show up & because they didn't arrive and I had an engagement party to attend so I paid & left ( here goes another lie) 3. Instead of correcting your nail work .. as a part of customer service my only choice is to remove it!?!? Work on CUSTOMER SERVICES skills! 4. Got a $30 gel manicure on Sunday and it already started lifting Tuesday, and I know exactly why. The young female that did my nails didn't even wipe my nails with alcohol after buffing it. Buffing and then dusting it off with a dirty dusty brush is going to prevent the gel polish from staying! The nail has to be CLEAN. Obviously the polish kept retracting/shrinking while she tried to paint on my nails. So she made me cure each finger one at a time -_- Polish was thick because she did 3 layers. This place is only good for pedicures in my opinion. I usually always come here to do my lashes. The one time I go in, my usual lash tech is not there :( so I decided to try out the lady that was there. I wanted the same look and she gave me something that wasn't the same at all and charged the same exact price. Not only that, when she was done, I struggled to get one of my eyelids open because of the glue. The lashes did NOT last a full week like the ones I usually get. I was very DISAPPOINTED. Next I went on to doing my nails for the very first time here...i wanted an overlay but the lash tech suggested I do dip bc "ITLL LAST LONGER" I was pleased w the work, but not even a FULL week in w the nails and they had already start to chip by the 4th day! I came here for dual pedicures with my MIL and was pleased with the experience. The salon was bright and clean and we were both able to be attended to right away on a Saturday afternoon. Decided to try this place out since it's very close to my apt. I decided to get a regular mani-pedi, which came out to $32 (not worth the price IMO). You can get better work done at another nail shop for $28. The lady who did my manicure did a shit job, my pedicure looks better than my mani (super lumpy and not evenly coated). I had two ladies working on me, who both made conversion with me. Then when it came time to pay (before she did my nail color), I told her I'd pay with card - which is $1 charge for any card transactions, ok fine. Asked her if I could add a $5 tip on the transaction which she did, and then did a shit job on my manicure color! She already got her money and did not care to make my nails look any type of "elegant" Oh, AND I'm pregnant! I told them I was due in 3 weeks and no one helped me to put my slippers on afterward!!
