Usually this is a busy time of the year, but she was patient and her team was incredibly amazing...always reassuring me everything will go well AND it did! From wedding planning to wedding rehearsals to the day of the wedding, she was with me every step of the way. We wanted a simple Day wedding, and our ceremony was held at my Alma Mater (Sacred Hearts Academy) and the venue was at Natsunoya Tea House. I didn't need a lot of decor since it was Christmas time and the decor everywhere you go is beautiful. I had simple burgundy table runners and roses as our decorative flowers. Since it was a Day wedding, the view on top of the hill was breathtaking. Geri made sure the husband and I were stress-free and to truly enjoy our special day. If you need a planner/coordinator for your big event, I recommend Geri and her Angelic Creations team. Thank you Angelic Creations!

Everything was timed wonderfully. Geri went over the timeline in advanced with my wedding party. So everyone knew what they were doing. There was no disorder and chaos. I could relax and enjoy my big day. Geri also worked well with my photographer, Bianca, videographer, Journey Cinema, and makeup and stylist, Moana Cheryll. Everyone stuck to the schedule so the wedding went perfectly. The wedding was so good that when it came to my daughter's first birthday in June, I didn't hesitate in hiring Geri and her team as soon as my daughter was 5 months old. I knew graduation season would be most craziest and my child's birthday would be in the midst of it all. So I booked early. The birthday party turned out as perfect as my wedding Geri and her worked well with my photographer, Jen from Hanabata Days. Geri is also reasonably priced and does more than what I could ever imagine.

Where to begin...Palm Palm Parties came and delivered! On time and finished way ahead of schedule!…read more I contacted Maile the owner of Palm Palm Parties super last minute because she was the only vendor on the island of Oahu that had the light up marquis "Aloha" & "Shaka" sign combo! These are one of the two things that represent my husband and I wanted to surprise him! Maile is incredible! She came home from a family trip and set up the signs all on her own. The photos should say it all! I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have gotten these signs! It was the best decision ever and so so worth it! These signs ended up being multi purpose! They made the perfect back drop/ photo area!!! Especially when the sunset arrived! On top of everything else on the day of my wedding these signs made my wedding that much more special not only for my husband and I but our entire ohana! It gave our ohana/guests hope during these tough times and made so much unforgettable memories and stunning photos for us all! Mahalo Maile for being apart of our special day and making our wedding that much more special! I highly recommend "Palm Palm Parties & Events"!!!!!!!!!!! She's got so many other cute gems!

And so, I decided on throwing my baby's party at Bishop Museum's great lawn. With that said, I needed to find a tent company that could supply tables, chairs, and lighting for that amount of guests. Hawaii Tents & Events happened to be the best option especially for the price paid. Other tent companies I researched would have charged easily over $5,000 (without tax) and one company even quoted me close to $10,000. With Hawaii Tents & Events, I did pay a little under $5,000. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The tents, tables and chairs weren't in the best condition but they weren't bad looking either. I did knock off a star because my communication with Tracey (Director of Sales & Marketing), though not the worst, was also not the greatest. Over the phone, she seemed really nice. It was just, at times, it was hard to get a hold of her. I didn't get responses as quick as I would have liked, especially when it came down to figuring out the layout of everything. A lot of my other vendors were dependent on the final layout and some decisions throughout my party planning had to be held off longer than I would have wanted. The mediocre communication, however, would not keep me from booking with them in the future. Their prices really cannot be beat!

I'm not sure if it's just me but I think there should be a minimum three day response time. If that's not doable, I may accept one week but definitely not two. And there's more... Finally got a response so I go over the package and call them back with questions for all these "extra charges." Getting married outside of Honolulu? There's a charge for that. Having the ceremony and reception at different locations? There's a charge for that. Having it at the same place? There's a charge for that too. More than 75 guests? You guessed it!!! There's a charge for that too! Paying with a credit card so you can earn miles? Yes, there's a charge for that. 3.5% processing fee to be exact! But with all those extra charges, I was still going to book them because of their reputation. I mean look at their reviews! So, I told them to send me the contract and it never came. Two weeks later, I get a email apologizing for the delay and asking me where my venue was again. Are you serious? I need an organized coordinator that I can trust! I sent them an email saying I will no longer need their services. Guess how many emails I got after that? Like five in a row with more apologies and excuses of how busy they were and how they're working on hiring and training someone to make the contracts. Whatever, I don't care. You can't handle the volume of your business, that's your problem. I need someone that can handle. I'm so happy I didn't go with them. I now have a coordinator that responds to all my emails and there are no extra fees. One that I trust and that is something so vital for one of the most important days of your life!
