SCHEDULING: Great first visit here! Called to ask if I could go in and was told to come in 20 mins. NAILS: Went in and though it was busy, Jenny started working on my nails right away while her other client was waiting for her nails to dry. (All while I was sitting in the waiting area!) When a nail station opened up she moved me. I asked for manicure but wanted to add pedicure and they accommodated me very well. Kathy worked on my toes while Jenny did my fingers! I was so impressed by how fast their service was! I've been to several nail salons around the valley and they are by far the FASTEST and still produce good quality nails! BROWS: Of course, I also decided to do my eyebrows last minute. I waited maybe 10 mins at most. Kim helped me out with my unruly brows. My nail tech sat with a straight face and proceeded to peel & scratch off my gel manicure with her nail. Never in my life has anyone ever removed my gel this way. I came to this place because of all the good reviews it had. Parking here is like playing a game of Tetris. Don't risk your paint job. Instead, Vallarta market parking lot is right next door and more spacious. I didn't make an appointment got here on a Friday about 10:30 am. I was greeted and helped right away. I asked for a mani and pedi. Kim then persuaded me into getting a gel mani and reg pedi for $33- which I thought was a good deal. The environment looked run down, old school. The lady working on my pedi rushed through the whole thing. I've had orgasms that have lasted longer. Good thing I don't have caveman toes. While Kim was working on my mani polish she was going back and forth between lamp dries with waxing eyebrows on someone else. Then, I decided to go for a eyebrow wax myself, as it was only $8- . Kim didn't do my eyebrows it was another lady who's English was good. In the middle of doing my brows she got a phone call and decided that she can multitask both me and the phone. To my surprise she didn't mess up but after the phone call she was rambling on her family drama that I didn't give two cents about. Anyways, If you're looking to go to a place that is relaxing and gives you that spa treatment that makes you feel like you have escaped the city..... this place is NOT it. Instead you will find that at this nail place these ladies are working super fast, doing sloppy jobs because their customers bring all their kids here like it's a playground; running around without disregard. If you just need your nails done quickly and don't need them to look pristine and perfect, this is the place to go. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The lady who did my nails and I bonded over our matching fitbits. She did my nails quickly and just did the basics of grooming and painting. The painting job wasn't perfect, but it still looks orettt good. There's some polish on a couple of my cuticles and the edges aren't smooth, but that doesn't bother me that much. The lady who did my feet also did the basics and painted my toes well. I think the overall process took between 30-45 minutes. I arrived with my aunt and mom and they all started on our nails right away. A small line of people started after us, and they had to wait but not for too long since they work rather efficiently. My friend got a full set with gel over and she got them for $35. They r really nice. And they have a card that u get marked. If u get 9 manis the 10th is free. Awsome. I walked in, immediately realized how uncomfortable I felt because the facility was very beat up and small. I feel like they could make the place at least look a bit nicer considering how small it is. The customer service was great, I'll give them that. Such as; You'll definitely get along with everyone there, they were nice and talkative, didn't make me feel uncomfortable. But my actual service wasn't the best, was very fast and not done correctly. All my nails were put on crooked. All of my nails were different size. There were a couple air bubbles and lumpy gel polish layers. I wanted to cry when I left because I tried to tell her ahead of time my nils were crooked she said she'd fix them but didn't. I asked for a specific color, for some reason she pulled another one out? So the color was off now. Nails were very thick on the top layer. No filed underneath. Not sure if she just wanted to get off work fast or if it was genuinely how she did nails:( If you're worried about price it's best not to risk it. Updating my review- I got my gel manicure and normal pedicure here 10 days ago, the service here was bad. Here are a few reasons: First of all they don't have massage chairs for pedicure, they just got a tiny tub of like warm water and I dipped my feet in it. The pedicure is below average. Second, when asked for spa slippers, she said it's for $1. After been frustrated about the poor pedicure I did not want to pay more for slippers. Third, the gel manicure started chipping off on the second day. I did complain about it when she was doing the manicure but because of the language barrier, she could not understand what was I trying to say. No one else there helped. Third, now after 9days the nail polish on my right hand has chipped of completely in two fingers. If you go here because of the cheap price, please be aware of the poor service and quality. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!! I wanted to get some pretty pink and whites for the upcoming wedding I'm in, so on recommendation, I went to Elegance Nails to get the job done. Peter is amazing! He's surgeon-like in his precision, and gave me a full set of the best P&Ws I've ever had. I am super picky about the way I have mine shaped, and he formed each nail with an artisan-like perfection that left me extremely impressed. He's kind and pleasant, and is very quick! I don't mean half-assed... he knows his shit, and finishes the nails with a gel hardened by UV light for maximum glossiness and shine. The best part about this place.... it's EXTREMELY reasonably priced and clean! What a find! I have only had my nails for one day, but the person who recommended Peter to me said her nails will last 10 times long and will not lift when he does them. I'm all for that! They also offer waxing, facials, spa pedicures, the gamut! Ask for Peter, and say goodbye to man hands! I am very surprised by the rating on this place...shocked actually. I went in for a mani/pedi just to kill time before a work meeting. They started on my pedicure first and the woman who was working on me snipped away a little overzealously and ended up cutting me...I don't normally fuss about that i know we're human and make mistakes BUT the cut was so deep she couldn't stop the bleeding. She kept dosing my toe with some medication to stop the bleeding and it just wouldnt work. She then proceeded to pour alcohol over it...OUCH! after a good 30 minutes of constantly dabbing the blood off she gave up and tried to seal the cut with clear nail polish....WHAT THE F*$%....she did one layer of polish and started putting her stuff away as if she done. I looked down and it was terrible. I asked if she was going to do a second layer and she said "oh okay I can" and sat back down. Isn't that standard though? two layers and a top coat? Well she did the second layer and it still looked bad not to mention that the nail on my big toe was lined all around with dry blood. 10 minutes later she's doing a pedicure on a woman next to me using the SAME towel she used on my bloody toe. I also had a full set done...they're mediocre...honestly, closer to bad than good. I never heard an apology. instead the owner said to me, "oh what happened there? what did you do?" REALLY?!? she cut me! what do you mean "what did i do?" $44 for a possible gangrene infection and a subpar full set was not worth it at all! I love finding little whole in the wall places or little "gems" and this is definitely not one of them. please take your $44 somewhere else. At least a place with better bedside manners and better customer service. this was a 2 thumbs down for me, unfortunately. read more

I've been in the valley for almost a year and have tried pretty much every place in the Northridge/Reseda area, except Elegance Nails. What rock have I been stuck under for all this time?! I read (limited) reviews on yelp and decided to take the chance of calling them for an appointment on a Saturday afternoon. My previous experiences have been terrible- I've always waited at least 30 minutes even WITH an appointment. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and noticed that is isn't exactly the most beautiful salon but it was packed! Even with that being said, I was seen by Peter 5 minutes before schedule. MAJOR POINTS HERE. Peter was very cordial, he made light conversation with me as he did my (perfect) pink and white full set. I will be the first to admit that I am very picky when it comes to my nails but Peter looked at my hands and figured out how I like them on his own.. This could just be coincidence but it takes a skilled person to really see that and more so deliver it! They didn't push me to get my eyebrows done or any of that nonsense. I ended up getting a pedicure anyway because they can do your hands and feet at the same time. Long story short, all the other nail places won't be getting my business because this place will be seeing me every two weeks! read more

The prices draw you in but the quality of the services will not make you want to come back. Staff seemed nice but they barely talked to me and left me sitting for a while after my pedicure. It took me a while to get my nail tech's attention to ask if I could pay and if my nails were dry. While they have two massage chairs (one was covered in a towel, the other had noticeable breaks in the leather), you'll receive your pedicure sitting in a rolling chair while soaking your feet in a small tub. My nail tech, Jenny, barely touched my toe nails. She cut my two big toes, slid the file over every other nail once, and went straight into a pretty disappointing callus removal. She was rough, didn't stop when I winced, and left a lot of dry skin around my heal and big toe. The paint was applied unevenly. read more

So be ready to be a contortionist cause your hands will be in the side while they do your manicure And then your legs on another angle for the pedi. So let's be honest, if you are looking for a place to be pampered that's pretty and has all of the bells and whistle's - this is not for you. I haven't found a person there that does really fancy designs and/or is very creative with nail art. This place has excellent prices and good work. They offer gel for $25 and this includes taking it off if you had gel. They also offer gel manicures with regular pedicures for $33. I do like coming here because they do things quickly and well And I am picky with the way that they clean nails, and they do a good job doing that. I found this place when I was looking for gel and didn't want to pay too much and I've been coming here for many years on and off. A good tip is don't come when they are busy, because the work sometimes will be a little bit rushed. In terms of sanitation, all of the foot pedicure bowls are lined. When they take off your gel they usually so get off and don't wrap. So if you have a problem with this you should probably let them know.
