When the gentleman heard it was my first visit he invited me to look around and left me alone to browse without being bothered. I'm impressed with the selection of things here, better in some departments than even what you will find at a big box store. The prices are competitive with ACE and so much worth not going near Gunbarrel! Checking out they offered me a glass of iced tea and bag of popcorn. But after the job, I was blindsided with a final bill nearly double that -- over $1,800 -- without any real-time communication or approval from me during the move. There was no transparency. I was never informed as the charges climbed. On top of that, the movers showed up completely unprepared, with nothing but a single Allen wrench and no tools or proper equipment. I had to hire outside help just to finish the job. Their disorganization directly caused the delay, not me. Several of my belongings were damaged during the move, including irreplaceable furniture. I submitted a claim and was promised a $449 settlement. But instead of issuing a refund, Bellhop applied it as a credit toward the inflated bill -- and only if I agreed to lift my credit card dispute. That's not a resolution -- that's coercion. I offered in good faith to pay the original quoted amount, which I believe was generous considering I had to finish the move myself and cover the damages. Bellhop refused to compromise or take accountability. If you're looking for a company that values professionalism, preparation, and fairness -- I strongly recommend you look elsewhere. My experience was stressful, expensive, and completely mishandled from start to finish.

I'm gonna scroll through the archives because they do maintain an archive of past sales which really only benefits them because they're not letting anybody know what they actually sold the items for. So the archive is useless for valuation purposes. But I find a Broyhill Emphasis piece. A line that's one of our personal favorites , and it has rather lengthy description accompanying it, explaining that "Emphasis" was inspired by Egyptian obelisks. Which is total malarkey!! ( lies made up to sell ) Really if you look at Broyhill's original brochures for Emphasis ( see photo ) they talk about the process of veneering being invented in Egypt, but they say nothing about design inspiration coming from Egypt. So if you have a company that's so casually going to lie about the small stuff what whoppers are they telling you about the big stuff? I wouldn't trust them. I bought another piece from them when they were in their Florida store and had to have it shipped only to find out that their restoration included a wood putty filled missing veneer spot that they didn't bother patching the veneer on. It cost me $200 to have the piece properly repaired. It was a $500 piece. And that was maybe about two years after they first opened in 2010. Jackie the owner is what the other one star reviewers say she is. Yes she's terribly condescending and she's rude. The review mentioning how she offered to reimburse a customer for their trouble and then told them two weeks later it wasn't gonna happen is dead on to that woman's personality. She tells them what they need to hear to get them off her back. Stay away from the shop online and certainly don't bother going to Chattanooga to see them in person.
