It's preparation that is important is what they will tell you here. I always get their primers, especially oil base for outside bare wood which is what they recommend. Then, put on a final coat of satin or semi-gloss latex paint which is what they have taught me. They have lots of paint Accesories to do the hard job of painting like caulk, paint thinner, brushes, masking tape, roller covers, drop cloths, HD roller frames, other painting supplies to get the job done. They also have industrial oil base paint here for rougher floors outside and etc. Anyway, you ask Sherwin Williams and you can trust their advice here. I do recommend them. You can bring in a chip or sample of a color you need and they will match it by placing it on a machine that they have here. I don't how it works, but it does a great job. Just Ask Sherwin Williams. I'm really disappointed in the ReStore. I used to buy a bunch of stuff here, both for my house, and…read morefor resale as I sell at an antique/repurposed store. The prices have gotten ridiculous for stuff that's freely donated. They're selling almost at antique store and retail prices for stuff that needs work and has scratches, dings, and peeling veneer/laminate. For example, a little over a year ago I bought a maple dining table with a little damage on the top, and paid $30. Now it would sell for close to $100. They say they aren't willing to negotiate prices. When you try to talk to staff they're more interested in chatting and fooling around with each other than doing work and helping customers. The only reason I gave the store 2 stars is I can still get occasional deals on light fixtures, plus they do have sales if you can catch them at the right time. I send people here for things I know they can't find elsewhere, like light fixtures and globes, but I will not be frequenting the store nearly as much as I used to with the pricing and attitudes I've met with lately.
