Just trying to book an appointment was an extreme eye roll. Perhaps Have the lady who answers the phone tell you what your business CAN do first before all the stuff they won't or can't do. I was confused if I could even schedule an appointment by the way she qas speaking. Which I can, in 10 days.... Because she was like this and the given time frame to replace a light bulb, I just excused myself, hung up and went on to the next Yelp candidate. Made an appointment, same week, no problem. Additionally, the other guy is happy to use the pigtail piece I've already purchased for a light bulb. They are happy to use my unopened, packaged by Napa pigtail for my headlight. In fact, they asked me to bring it. :) read more

I received a $1,000 estimate to repair my car at another shop, and it was suggested to me that I go see Tom and Leroy at Elder Auto. I took that advice and was well pleased with the result! The ladies up front were super nice and Tom and Leroy fixed my car for a fraction of the price of my other estimate. Will recommend Elder Auto to anyone needing honest car help! -Don Haymon read more

This family business is THE BEST! I found them upon recommendation from Grease Monkey and they have taken care of me and my old Subie for years. They are so kind and so nice and do great work, always so accommodating too when it seems like your in a bind with your primary transportation! read more

I've been going to this shop for several years now. They always seemed professional, polite, and most importantly, honest.

Being a 20-something female, some auto repair shops will very clearly try to use my apparent lack of car knowledge to their monetary advantage. That was the case at the Jeep dealership I first went to, and I could tell. I took my car here instead. The people at Elder Auto were so kind to me, explained everything in terms that I could 100% understand sans auto jargon, and gave me a much more reasonable price for the repairs that were necessary. I couldn't recommend it any more vehemently. read more

This place is seriously the best auto shop in the WORLD! I've been here a couple of times and this was a last minute intense need for new tires. I had a flat and called Cody and said I needed to get my truck in ASAP but didn't get paid for a few days and he helped me out, we worked through a system. Got me in and out in one day!!!!! The customer service they all have there is outstanding and I feel at home with any problem I bring to them. Especially Cody he is a true man at heart that I put my full trust in with my beautiful 20 year old pick up truck!! I know I can get all I need with this shop and their employees!! I highly recommend them and see for yourself you won't be disappointed!! read more

Great experience from start to finish! Excellent prices, very communicative, stayed under my estimated cost, and had my car back to me when they said they would! From now on I won't take my car anywhere else! read more

Gotta be honest, if you're looking for a mechanic that isn't a dealer, this is your place. They are honest, quick, and keep you up to date with their progress. A family owned business that keeps your dollars local rather than some HQ somewhere else. Thank you, Elder Auto! read more

Gerard at Elder Auto answered all of my questions and was very friendly! You can tell you're working with good, honest people here. I once went there because I had questions about my coolant, and even though they were quite busy, one of the guys came outside to check it out. He was thorough in his explanation of the condition of the car, and when he made an error, he acknowledged it and corrected himself. read more

We have been taking our service vans over to Elder Auto for the better part of two years now. Out of the 10-12 times we have taken our vans over there for service, we have never had a bad experience. Elder Auto's staff is knowledgeable and very friendly and the waiting area of their shop is a perfect place to wait for your vehicle. The last time we brought our van into their shop we thought we had a bad washer fluid pump. As it turned out, it was just a bad connection and the gave the van back to us without charging anything. I can't recommend Elder Auto enough! read more

I probably shouldn't be spreading the word because it's crazy busy over there and it'll just make it worse, but these guys and gals are simply awesome. They always take care of me and I trust them to always be fair and honest. Today I had an oil change that took them 2 hours when they promised 1. Not a big deal, new Mercedes and they ended up having to go to the dealer to get the part. But then they didn't charge me for labor! Wow, they had to go above and beyond to service my car and then they didn't charge me because I was slightly inconvenienced. I've always heard that once you find a good mechanic you should never leave... I ain't EVER leaving! read more

This is the first review that I've ever done for anything, but Elder Auto is WELL deserving of it. As a college student from out of state, to say that I was terrified when my alternator went out would be to be putting it lightly. With nobody here to help me and my parents 400+ miles away, I took to the internet to find the best place possible. Low and behold, Elder Auto came up first. So I rolled the dice and was able to get my car in and back to me within 2 days. They're service techs did GREAT work, their staff was AWESOME, and their prices EXCELLENT! For anyone looking for a great autoshop who can take care of their customers as well as they take care of your car, GO TO ELDER AUTO! Thanks guys!! read more

Elder Auto has done various repairs on my SUV over the last years. I have always received outstanding service and fair prices. They fix the problem completely and I never have to worry that something else will be suggested that "needs to be done" if it doesn't. I highly recommend Elder Auto! read more

Elder Auto is the only place I will bring my car from now on. I live in Broomfield and make the commute because of what a trustworthy and reliable team Ramon has built for his shop. It feels like you've known everyone there for years with how welcoming they are. They took great care of my 2003 Honda Element and are helping ensure my old lady car lasts me as long as it can! They also explained things in a simple way for me to understand after taking a look at my car. Thanks Ramon you guys are FANTASTIC!!! read more

I called the other day to make an appointment. The girl that answered the phone asked if I could hold. After holding for 6 minutes she answers the phone again like I was a new caller and asks if I can hold. I mention I've already been on hold. She rudely says "yeah I'm with a customer". Needless to say I won't be bringing my business here or recommend them. I get that you are busy but isn't there someone else to help so people don't have to be on hold for a long time? read more

Awesome service. I have an older car that has some issues for sure and i took it in due to a "squeal" when I drove. They figured out the problem, and another problem, called me promptly, were totally honest about issues that needed to be fixed right away and those that can wait. They had my car fixed up by the end of that day which I didn't expect at all. Prices are totally decent but the customer service is worth it. Will continue to take my car here! read more

We have been going to Elder Auto for 5 years now! They are honest and reliable! Gerard is so helpful every-time I call and they take great care of all four of our vehicles. I recommend them to everyone I know! read more

Thanks, Elder Auto for not making me feel like I'm getting ripped off when I have my car serviced. Definitely a downside to being a female. Granted, when my husband and I have come in with our cars, Elder Auto finds about $400 worth of repairs that could be done. HOWEVER- they call you first and explain what is necessary and what could definitely wait. It comes across as very honest. They give you a time frame too like "ehh, this could probably wait another year- I wouldn't have it fixed right away." I like that they offer check-in deals and first time deals. Occasionally my oil change has been comped due to a larger service (new brakes, etc.) My little Civic thanks you! read more

Took my 2004 VW Passat here because it had some time of vacuum leak. Took my car here because of the good reviews. Turned out my car had a mass air flow leak. The work was done well and in a timely manner. Reason I am giving only 2 star is because of the cost of the diagnosis. Most places don't charge for diagnosis if you decide to get your car repaired by them, although I still got charged $89 on top of all the repair. Next time I will make sure I don't pay extra for diagnosis since many shops wave this fee if work is performed by them. Still on the hunt for the perfect mechanic shop for my 3 vehicles.... if one such mechanic exists. read more

I am going to add this place to my will. Slip off the road in the most recent snow storm, bending and torquing my front axle. Vehicle is barely driveable. Flashing before me are lots of money to pay out, a week or two with the car in the shop, and picking up the cost of a rental. Went on Yelp and loved the review and rating of Elder Auto. Gave them a buzz, and they immediately agreed to look at the car. Fifteen minutes later, on a busy and snowy morning, my auto was up on the lift. I was presented with alternative repair options, which I greatly appreciated. They then offered a courtesy ride to my workplace. Two hours later, I received a call that my return courtesy ride was on its way. My car was ready; the charge was embarrassingly reasonable; and I was on my way. The next morning I received a follow-up call from a staff member to check on the status of my auto. Just can't say enough kind things about this place! My business is their's for life. Thank you, thank you ... read more

Was referred by a client, went to have alignment and an oil change. Was told it would be done by 2! When arrived to pick up car was told would have to wait until 4. Trustworthy and Professional!!!! I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received during my first visit to Elder Automotive. After some dealings with a few very sketchy shops and mechanics since moving to Denver, it was great to find a shop where integrity, quality repairs, and value are emphasized. I brought my Subaru due to an issue with fluid leaks from the CV boot, and a noisy belt. I'd been told by people at an oil change shop that the rack and pinion was also bad, which I related to Elder in making my appointment--not a good prospect as that is a very pricey repair and not easy to do on one's own--especially without a lift or high quality jack stands. So when I made my appointment with Elder and dropped the car off for a free estimate (yes, free, you heard right) I was expecting an $800-1000 repair bill. To my surprise however, I received a call back within 2 hours and was told that the CV boot and a tensioner pulley needed replaced, BUT that the rack and pinion was fine. It is unfortunate that one expects auto repair shops to do unnecessary repairs (see the Fox31 investigative report, and fraudulent repairs at multiple Meineke locations, which I also experienced with a brake job), so to have a shop come back and say something that I thought needed replaced was actually fine, well it speaks volumes to the honesty and integrity that has garnered Elder so many positive reviews on this and other places! At the end of the day the repair bill I had was less than half of what I was expecting, with the repairs completed the same day along with a courtesy ride to and from my home. I'll certainly be returning to the shop for routine maintenance and any future repairs my cars may need in the future. Elder is an A-1 shop that you can trust, and will provide great service, professionalism, and quality; I really couldn't recommend them more!! read more

Excellent experience from start to finish. Brought my vehicle in for an oil change, knowing I needed both pads replaced. They gave me a discount off the oil change and rotated my tires since it was needed. Brought my vehicle back in for front and rear pads and an alignment. I live close by, so the owner shuttled me back to my place and picked me up after the repair. Super nice guy! I've been telling all my friends that this is the place to trust for all your repairs. I am so thankful to have found Elder Auto. read more

Elder Auto is the best in Denver. They truly are as honest and friendly as they come. I was left stranded in my car and Jarrod at Elder was nice enough to send me a tow and loan me a car for the weekend until they were finished. ALL AT NO CHARGE. They also don't try to talk you into meaningless repairs like many other shops will do. They shoot it to you straight, you won't find better guys! read more

The good: I've had generally good experiences with their repairs and pricing. The bad: 1) Their alignment guy will erroneously tell you any pull is due to road crown and there's nothing they can do. 2) Dropped off in the morning for fuel filter replacement per 75k factory service schedule and they called at closing time to say they won't do it as it's "not serviceable" (false). 3) They use Mobil 1 for synthetic which is measurably subpar. read more

You can feel good about trusting these guys with your car. Professional from start to finish. They saved me money by not making any unnecessary fixes while providing work at an affordable rate. I highly recommend these guys. read more

REAL DEAL. Finally! Preface: Read my other yelp reviews. I don't mess around with bad service or crooks. I brought my car in for a tie rod end replacement. Note this is my first non-dealership experience since I purchased my car back in 2008. I'add) and it was right off I-25 so pretty easy to get to. Bonus I wasn't expecting was a couve found that some Denver area dealerships are complete garbage when it comes to service and honest pricing. My partner called ahead for an estimate and...brace yourselves...these guys broke it down to the penny instead of giving me a "general estimate". This is unheard of these days sadly. So I took my car in to a nice clean shop (with wifi I might rtesy ride offer to the lightrail if I needed it. I got my car back within four hours (FOUR HOURS!) and she drives like a dream. Nothing like being able to tell the work was done. The estimate was literally $200 less than my crappy dealership offered and the service was unexpected. Also, since i was a first time customer, they gave me the 10% off discount without asking which saved me even more money. No "you didn't mention the coupon" garbage here. Good work, warranty, and a business of their word. Ladies, there was 0% of the heres-a-dumb-woman-talk. You know, where men at dealerships, service centers, etc start calling you pet names, listing crap for you to fix even after you just replaced it (air filters, wiperblades, etc) and telling you stupid shit like we'll get your car cute again, etc. Good price, professional, and PEOPLE OF THEIR WORD. Can't beat it. Will be back. read more

These guys are great. They provide impeccable service at amazing prices. Their staff is very friendly and helpful and they do a great job telling you what needs to be done and what can wait. Ramon Elder and his staff at Elder Auto are all top-notch people. They are definitely the most honest and forthright auto shop I have come across. My wife was worried about her car at one point and dropped it off there. They weren't able to find anything (I think she had just been paranoid) and despite having had the car for about 48 hours, driving it around, trying to reproduce the problem, they didn't charge us a dime, despite all their time trying to find the problem. Plus once while i was waiting on my car, Ramon gave me a free breakfast burrito! You can't beat that service! read more

After a pretty rough experience with another garage in my area I decided to try Elder Auto. I'm am so glad I found them! I have a 97 Cabrio that I love. She is getting up there but with the right love nd attention she has plenty of years left in her. I believe Elde Auto is the right place for that attention! I took her in with a laundry list of concerns thinking it was gong to cost me at least $1200 to have her brought up to speed. Not only did the guys at Elder check into to all her needs but they all also replaced my front brakes (the back brakes still have plenty of wear left on them so THEY said to wait to have them done!) for half of what I thought I would be spending!! Everything we spoke of was detailed on my bill. I felt very good about the entire transaction. Great shop. read more

I've been taking my car to Elder Auto for several years. They are fast, friendly, and efficient. I've always felt that I am getting the service required with no up-selling. Taking your car to the mechanic can be a scary experience, especially if you are not mechanically savvy enough to know you are getting good advice. I've worked on my cars for years and generally know what needs fixing and how to do it, but recently I've run short of time and elected to bring our cars to the pros. I could not be happier with Elder Auto. They always provide an estimate before starting work or call with an update if they find something unexpected, and have never surprised me with a bill. Their recommendations have always lined up perfectly with my own diagnosis and they have never tried to sell me any additional unnecessary work or service. These guys are honest, on-time, and on budget. I can't ask for more. read more

BRING YOUR CAR HERE! Honest mechanics who do great work, less pricey than anywhere in town. I was quoted $1200 by another shop, and Elder got the work done for less than half of that because they don't try to charge you for things that don't need fixing. I've been there four times so far this summer because our car is old and full of problems. Props to service manager Cody for being an honest mechanic and getting work done fast and for the right price. Thank god we found Elder Auto or we wouldn't have a car any more because we would not have been able to afford fixing it. read more

Got me towed and in immediately and explained everything going on with my car. The waiting room is clean and all of the employees go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and have a "nice experience" while dealing with auto issues, which is a difficult task that they nail. elder auto is awesome! as other reviewers have said, there are very honest. will tell you exactly what's going on even if you're someone who doesn't know much about cars. i took my car there to get an estimate after getting a few other estimates, and their price was much lower. the work was done very quickly, and they updated me on their progress often. i had another problem recently and went back to them. they checked it out, and offered a solution from another company, and didn't even charge me for analyzing the problem! overall: very nice employees, great prices, quick work...just great service overall! thanks elder auto! read more

Yay for my mobile Yelp app that helped me find this auto shop. After skidding off an icy patch of C-470 into a ditch in a heartstopping moment, I resolved to make sure my car was in tiptop winter shape. First stop, brand new tires. Second stop, make sure my tires were aligned correctly, leading me to Elder Auto. They were super friendly from the get go. I felt bad about using their shuttle service without realizing just how far my place is from them, but the driver was very nice and assured me several times that it was okay. I love family run, family owned businesses and especially ones where I feel confident in their honesty, service and efficiency, in which Elder Auto lives up to their hard-earned reputation. read more
