The people here are fantastic. But don't come here for that. The place is very clean with no frills and you certainly wouldn't come here for that. Come here for a huge variety of traditional donuts. Nothing weird. No gimmicks. Just great donuts and I'm picky. We tried multiple kinds of donuts and none of them disappointed. Quite the opposite. Upon first bites my family was making those familiar sounds of people eating delicious food and expressing delight.

Cute little bakery!…read more After eating breakfast, I was craving something sweet so I decided to stop in at Bello's. This place is nestled away in a little strip and if you blink, you could miss it. I was blown away at everything they had to offer and wasn't sure where to start. I ended up getting three mini cookies: the thumbprint (pink), parelle (stars), and non-parelle. Each were unique with their own flavor but were just what I needed for a little pick-me-up. The pink cookie had bits of pecan and while I'm not a huge pecan fan in general, I didn't mind it! The other two were more shortbreadish in taste, but still had their own unique flavor. I think they have something for everyone depending on what you're looking for. The workers were incredibly friendly and the pricing was fair, but less than what I was expecting to pay. I get my nails done in the area, so I can already see this place being my go-to for snacks!

My personal favorites are their donuts and danishes -- both are consistently delicious. This visit, I decided to try one of their cookies. While it wasn't quite as standout as some of their other items, it was still fresh and well made. I also noticed several beautiful cakes being picked up while I was there, so that's definitely next on my list to try. Service is always a 5 star!

One side is Jimmy John's. With the back being Donut Palace. The parking lot is large. The windows were tinted with two doors that had open signs, we weren't sure which one to go in and chose the one on the left. It could get really awkward with two customers walking in from each door at the same time. The left side door felt a little further away from the counter. Inside was super clean and had a cute area for eating in. New location growing pains with the staff not knowing what some of the donuts were. Seemed like the operation was the people behind the counter helped and then a guy at the register rang up. It was fine but felt lackluster. After we made our selection of a dozen with one of those being the massive Apple fritter. The total for the dozen was $28 and seemed excessive even with the massive fritter. When we ate them they were ok. They were a good size but just weren't my cup of tea in taste or price.

A youngish guy came from the back and I said I wanted a fresh donut, that it would likely be the only thing I was going to eat that day, and what did they have to offer? He laughed nervously and said the donuts were made fresh. (Well, duh. But how stale are these that I'm looking at?) There wasn't much selection to chose from. The store is very small and, at this time, it was a mess, grimy and dimly lit. Not appealing at all. I selected a single glazed for nearly $3. I took a bite in the car and got so sad because it was not good. Well, Strange Donuts, I had hoped for some empathy but nope.

Once i entered in, it appeared to be closed, minimal but yet cool decor. I was instantly greeted by a worker. He asked if i was the pizza delivery from Jets. Lol. It was so soft, moist and tasted just like a gooey butter cake. I also ordered a maple bacon donut. It was delicious, not overly sweet, and just the right amount of savory! As I walked in, I felt I walked in the back door of a restaurant kitchen. Large kitchen equipment. No menu. No store front presence. No signage. One small table in the corner of the window. But no ambience at all to make you want to sit down. I was very confused. Very friendly lady working who explained the entire menu and daily donut selection. Wow kudos to her!! The strange funky selection for the week was none that appealed to me. I selected 5 random donuts from long John's to special hot peachy fritter to cinnamon roll. All were ok but nothing stood out and made me want to come back. The lack of a menu (even a basic one) is odd. All the donuts are out in the open on kitchen trays. It felt dirty and unkept. I really wanted to love this place and their donuts. Was it just this location? Not sure. I'll try another one to see and go back when there is a special donut of the week that interests me.
