This was an interesting experience. The outdoor patio / bar area at Elaine's is top tier. This is the perfect place to stop for a cold drink, and they do such a cute job of decorating with the hanging American flags and string lights. It's gorgeous in every season, and even though my most recent visit was during summer I also loved my visit in the fall when the space was fully decked out for Halloween. Unfortunately the food is awful. We started things off with a very lackluster order of coconut shrimp. Not good, but I was hungry and it was edible. Things quickly got worse when our spinach dip came out, which was basically a bowl of plain heavy cream and a pile of completely burnt chips. Our server was nice enough to take this off the bill. With so many amazing food options around I'd eat elsewhere, but would come back for drinks in a heartbeat. read more

I went to Elaines for a quick brunch as they allowed pets at their outdoor tables. There are several patio tables for guests to dine at. I ordered the yogurt banana split. It came out and looked abysmally small for a $14 price tag. It was over priced but it was delicious. There was enouogh to feel full for the items they gave you but would feel more comfortable at $9 instead. I also had to ask for water for my pet where most places usually give you some right away. The food was good just a bit overpriced for what it is. The views are nice and the patio is great. The major perk was a pet friendly space. read more

We came in as a family of five--including our 11 month old son, who we were planning to order a meal for--and were immediately told to get up from a six-top because we "didn't meet the minimum" -- which was FIVE people. Even after we explained we'd be ordering for everyone, including the baby, the waitress was rude and made us wait... only to seat us back at the same table because no smaller ones were available. Off to a great start. It only got worse from there. We waited 90 minutes for food while the table next to us (seated at the same time) got all their food, finished, and paid before we even had appetizers. The apps came incomplete, no plates were brought, and when the kids' pretzels finally came out--they were cold and soggy. Nobody checked on us, nobody cared. We ended up asking for the check before our dinners came out. The waitress then stated the kitchen was "backed up" which was pretty hard to believe considering everyone else around us was coming, eating and leaving. Total disaster from start to finish. I couldn't help but write to let everyone know how horrible of an experience my family and I had at this restaurant this past Saturday night the 12th. I believe our server was Rachelle and we finished around 8:30. Their policy of seat yourself is a disaster from beginning to end. Not only does it force guests to compete for seats, but their staff loses track of table service. It took at least ten minutes to have a server come to our table. When the server arrived we were asked if we had placed an order. No drink order was taken, it would take another 20 minutes for that. Eventually when we did order, it took longer than it should have for our appetizers to arrive. After appetizers, our waitress came back over to ask if we would like anything else. Our answer was yes, the dinner we ordered. It was clear she forgot to put our order in. Our food came out probably a half an hour later. We never saw our waitress again. The food was inadequate....highlighted by a horrible chicken caesar salad. It was a small bowl of iceberg lettuce with layers of plain, unseasoned chicken on top, smothered in some mayonnaise like dressing. And of course we asked to speak with a manager, but were questioned on why we even needed to speak with one. Eventually another server came over and asked "did you need to talk to someone about something?" She was clearly disabled to some degree so we simply said no. Our waitress never came back.. We had to ask for our check. Another server helped with that, saying they were all a team. I guess a team when it come to taking money but not much of a team as they all walked by looking at us without food, receiving no service.. We have driven by this place for many years, hoping to stop by. The outdoor atmosphere always looks so nice and is decorated so well during the holidays. It was such a shame to receive the low level experience we did. It would take a lot for us to ever step foot on that property again, let alone not share our experience with all our guests visiting the area. read more

Food: 4/5: we've eaten here a couple of times. The k my thing that's remarkable is their lobster spring rolls. They're a bit pricey ($21) but chock full of lobster. The saffron aloli adds a bit of creaminess but I really just tastes like mayo. Service (5/5): Hope (bartender) is really great! We remember her from 2 years ago! Ambiance (4/5): Their Halloween decorations are a bit creepy (talking clowns and skeletons climbing the outside) but it's definitely fun for Halloween. Who knew a hotel restaurant could be so good!? Not only is this little beach place great to stay at, but their restaurant had SUCH amazing food. It can be tricky to order a steak or burger not from an authentic steak place, but they were cooked perfectly. And the buffalo chicken dip was also so so good! read more

We went for dinner for a party of 6; two of our party did not arrive with us and we told the server (blonde hair, seemed to be a bartender that evening). We sat at a table for 6. The aforementioned "server" came to our table and questioned the number of our party. We explained we had two more coming within ten minutes. She shook her head, rolled her eyes and walked away. A few minutes later She returned with the same rotten snotty attitude, repeated her question, then stating the table was for parties of 6. We reminded her we had two joining us and she interrupted asking "are they CLOSE?" And then said something about a "5 minute courtesy" and again walked away rudely and smugly. I have frequented the establishment and have had nothing but good things to say from the food to the ambience. Stopped in around 3:30 today to grab a bite to eat and have a drink. The waiter came with lunch menu's explaining they were getting close to changing to dinner but he was not sure if dinner was happening. This was not an issue and decided to make lunch choices but wanted to ask if dinner was being offered as a secondary option. After ordering drinks, we had asked if dinner was going to be served and he stated he wasn't sure and he "doesn't speak Spanish". We were extremely turned off by his comment and demeanor that we decided to pay for the two drinks and move to another establishment for food. There are few things that generally ask for a review but ignorance is one I feel needs to be brought to light. read more

I asked for chipotle Mayo and got some type of runny thin sauce. My aunt did not like her shrimp tacos either. No one was impressed or happy with their food. No fries, fruit cup, or any side.... $15 for a flavorless bowl of Mac n cheese. Coconut shrimp came out like warm and soggy. Dumplings should ALWAYS be at least " pretty good". Their dumplings are somehow not good at all. A mushy starchy mess. just take frozen dumplings and steam them. Would have been 10x better. Fish and chips came out without tartar sauce. When I asked the waiter he said the kitchen staff had to make up a new batch and were arguing with each other. Like what? Will never be back for food. Waitress was nice but stayed away after the food was delivered by other staff members and when she returned towards the end of the meal (you could plainly see I had not eaten my fish) I stated that the red snapper was beyond blackened and burnt to a hard crisp and I could not eat it. I told her she should let someone know. She smiled and took the plate and said nothing. We paid the bill and left. I would probably skip a return visit to this establishment based on this experience. My husband and I were there on 10/24/25, arriving just before the kitchen opened. We waited over 20 minutes for water while seated outside. I ordered the Blackened Red Snapper, and my husband ordered a burger. Our meals arrived 15 minutes apart. My fish was cold, the Brussels sprouts were chewy (seemingly microwaved), and the sweet potato was hard and cold. When my husband's burger finally came, the sweet potato fries were cold and rubbery -- and worst of all, he found a hair inside the burger. He returned the dish, and we left.
