I feel like since Tom Jenkins bbq closed in Fort Lauderdale there really hasn't been many great options for good..especially in Miami. The food looked standard, but I was disappointed by the quality of the ribs. They were fatty, lukewarm and dry. The best part of my meal was definitely the banana pudding we had for dessert. I can't give a bbq place 5 stars until I try their brisket. Solid spicy mustard sauce paired really well with the chicken and I think would be great on the pulled pork. Great service and even had an outdoor bar which looked great for some apres skiing. Now to only try their brisket and maybe be open at night as they close earlier in the evening?

But- we were driving back through today and I remembered a Mexican restaurant in Frisco, so we stopped in for lunch- great decision! They have some tables outside, but we chose inside seating. We sat down and a server brought over water, chips and 2 different salsas that were very tasty. I ordered a medium size skinny margarita- and it was huge- but also really good and tart- just the way I like them! I ordered a chicken dish and my husband ordered a pork dish- hindsight- we should have split one meal because they were huge!!! Very fresh and delicious, but we couldn't finish them. All of the servers we interacted with were so nice, friendly and very helpful! Everything we ate was very good and it was a fun experience!

My husband had the chicken quesadillas which he loved and they happened to be on happy hour so it was a great price. Our friends had the taco salad ( it was huge) and the chicken soup, also amazing. We ended with the flan which was big enough for four. The staff very really friendly. Everything was delicious. We can't recommend it enough. The moment we walked in (we were the only people in the restaurant) the staff who looked more annoyed than welcoming. The food was the biggest letdown. Everything tasted bland and rushed, like it had been sitting out too long. Ever experience soggy nachos? Well, this is the place for you. The chicken wings, that apparently are not only deep fried are also baked (as I was told by the server) take about 50 minutes to come out. Steak quesadillas were lukewarm, and frankly all of the food was simply meh. Ever seen brown guacamole? You can see it here. Service was equally frustrating. It took forever just to get someone's attention, and when I did, the attitude felt dismissive, almost like I was inconveniencing them just by asking for basics like water refills. "Can't you see we are short staffed" - buddy, I have worked and owned places that are short staffed but have to ask for water 4 times, hanging another table do the same .... I can go on and on. Frankly, so many better options around that are so much better, also short staffed but friendly and at least make an effort to be friendly. Hope your experience here is better if you are brave enough to waste two hours for crappy food and incredibly sub par service.

Best brunch I had in Frisco…read more Butterhorn Bakery and Cafe is the highest-rated brunch spot in Frisco, and based on my experience, I'd agree with the hype. Of the couple of brunch spots I tried in town, this was my favorite. I ordered the Cornucopia with eggs over medium and substituted the home fries for fruit. The fruit was surprisingly good, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar. A side of fruit can be pretty hit or miss when you substitute it at brunch, so I was pleasantly surprised. The eggs were cooked right, and the toast was fine. I opted for turkey bacon, though, and I'd recommend skipping it. It was pretty crispy and lacked much flavor. The standout was the cinnamon roll French toast. We ordered it to share with the table, and I highly recommend doing the same. It comes with two large cinnamon rolls that are soaked in egg batter and grilled French-toast style. It was top tier. I noticed several tables around us sharing the regular cinnamon roll as well, and those looked fantastic too. They also have a bakery counter inside with plenty of grab-and-go options. The pastries all looked great, along with fresh bread, cookies, and other sweet treats. If you're visiting Frisco and looking for brunch, Butterhorn is definitely worth a stop. And whatever you order, I'd make sure the cinnamon roll French toast makes it onto your table.

I asked for my hash browns to be extra crispy, and they delivered. My boyfriend had the monte cristo and I liked it but he wasn't as excited. The local sausage it came with was so tasty! Definitely would order a side of that again. This is again one of those menus that has too much that sounds good, so it's hard to pick what to order. It's a small place but has a very nice ambiance with the mountains nearby.
