We had the enchilada rancheras which came with one bean, one beef, one cheese, one chicken and I can't remember what the other one was. The tortillas were dried and the flavor was not there. Also had an order of rice and beans they weee decent and hot. The only thing we enjoyed was the queso fundido. Would definitely not come back it was just not up to our liking.

Ambiance was festive as always and the restaurant seemed very clean. Service was excellent. The food is decent with huge portions. Prices are typical and a good value due to the generous portions. Here's what continues to bother me: All of their beans contain lard -which I choose not to eat - and yet the "Vegetarian" portion of the menu lists various entrees with the same beans that contain lard. It would be nice to offer a lard-free option of black beans, as other Mexican restaurants do. I mention this to my server each time. I realize it's insanity to come back here expecting a different result, but it would make me so happy to enjoy lard-free beans with my burrito! End of rant. This place was busy mid-afternoon on a Friday, so apparently most people are perfectly happy with the status quo.

The restroom was clean but very worn out, to say it nicely. The service, however, was excellent. I was promptly greeted, seated and asked for my drink order. Chips and salsa were delicious. The salsa was perfectly balanced between mild and hot, with the right amount of zest. I ordered a chicken burrito with vegetarian refried beans and a side of guacamole. The menu stated that it would be shredded chicken, but it was random pieces of chicken, of varying quality, with lots of rice. The burrito was topped with a cheese sauce that was pretty thin and didn't really add any flavor to the burrito. Guacamole was okay and refried beans were fine. Nothing was really amazing aside from the attentive service. The restaurant has a patio, but it's on a busy street and I don't think it would be enjoyable. Overall, this would not be a restaurant I would make an effort to return to; nothing horrible but nothing outstanding either, aside from the service and salsa. I was waiting for my dog to be groomed and it served my purpose.

I came to this restaurant to order and pick up carryout dinner for two. I had been here a few years…read moreago. The parking lot was very crowded and of course that meant it was also crowded inside. A good sign! Ambiance is typical festive and colorful Mexican decor. I went to the host stand to get a menu and grabbed a seat at the bar, hoping to get a small margarita while I perused the menu and ordered. I didn't see a dedicated bartender and it seemed like wait staff grabbed drinks on their own for their tables. When I was finally able to flag down someone in the bar area, she was friendly and served me a basic margarita- pretty sure they are pre-mixed but not totally sure because I was still studying the menu. Solid margarita though. Ordered two chicken burritos, a chicken quesadilla and tortilla chicken soup. The wait time was reasonable and staff members were very nice despite how busy they were at prime dinner time. Upon arriving home, I ate half of the chicken quesadilla. It was delicious with lots of quality seasoned chicken I also cut off a piece of my mom's chicken burrito to try. Also delicious. My mom definitely enjoyed her chicken tortilla soup, which was loaded with shredded chicken and pico de gallo. We had lots of leftovers even though we ordered à la carte. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant! I'm sure the experience would have been better dining inside. Also, next time will order dinner portions for more well rounded meals (e.g., quacemole and other sides). You may want to stop by for an early dinner because this restaurant has quite the following!! P.S. If you care about whether the refried beans contain lard, they do. And they don't have black beans as an option for those who don't want lard in their beans. Guess the lard is more authentic Mexican but not what I had hoped for...

4.0Management Action at End of Visit 3.0 One Enjoyable Meal…read morefor Friend, Offset by Bad Meal for Me 5.0 Chips and Salsa 4.5 Usual Festive Ambiance 3.0 Overall Service The math might not average out because I included my subjective overall weighted experience. Tonight was a busy Friday night at La Fiesta. We sat in a booth a bit removed from the boisterous atmosphere. There were birthday celebrations going on and it can be overwhelmingly loud, depending on where you're seated. Chips and salsa- especially the salsa - were delicious. We both also enjoyed a House Margarita - decent. (An upgraded Margarita could run $25, so stuck with the House.) My friend enjoyed her Beef Quesadilla Supreme. I had ordered a "Popeye Quesadilla" with cheese and spinach, plus added grilled chicken. Both meals looked delicious when they were served. When I took my first bite, the entree wasn't very warm, but worst of all was overly salty and greasy. When our server checked on us, I told him the chicken was too salty for my taste. I'm not sure if there was a language barrier but he turned and left us to tend to other tables. I tried to move the chicken out of the quesadilla and focus on the spinach, black beans, and guacamole. Unfortunately, the strong smokey salty greasy taste of the chicken permeated the rest of the quesadilla. When our server came to ask if I wanted a box for the meal I had partially eaten, I again told him that the meal wasn't to my liking but that he could box it up for my friend- in case her son might eat it. At this point, our server motioned for the manager. I explained the situation and the manager quickly picked up my plate and said he would have it remade; I agreed as long as it was only cheese and spinach without the chicken. It was served and I took a bite; it was good and not salty. However, we were ready to leave so I asked our server for a box to take it home. I appreciated the manager's actions at the end of our meal so that I can look forward to good leftovers tomorrow. However, it was too late to save me from a truly horrible meal tonight. I enjoyed the upbeat atmosphere and catching up with my friend. I will note that the outdoor patio was packed and there was festive music playing. It would be difficult to have conversations but seemed that people were enjoying themselves. Personally, I will take a break from La Fiesta, but may find myself back there at some point.

It was actually our dogs' first-ever restaurant experience, so we weren't totally sure how it was going to go, but the staff made it SO easy. They seated us in the perfect spot outside on the patio with plenty of room for the dogs. Everything was clean, service was quick, the food was great, and literally everyone we interacted with was friendly. But our server, Angel, deserves a special shoutout. We asked if we could get some water for the dogs and she came back with actual little dog water bowls for them, which was such a cute touch and made their first patio dining experience even better. She was also SO sweet and kind with our kids throughout the entire meal. When we asked for sodas to go for the rest of our road trip, she made sure we were all set before we headed out. Nothing was over-the-top or forced. It was just genuinely thoughtful, attentive service that made traveling with two kids and two dogs feel surprisingly easy. We were only passing through Toledo, but this is absolutely somewhere we would intentionally stop again. Great food, clean restaurant, quick service, dog-friendly patio and an awesome staff. And Condado, please give Angel some recognition! She was wonderful and made our dogs' very first restaurant experience one we'll actually remember.
