My wife and I tried to go for happy hour tonight to celebrate my wife's birthday and her free entree she was sent for her birthday. As we walked up to the entry, there was VERY LOUD rap music blaring from inside that we could hear 100 feet outside. As we went into the bar, the music was unbearably loud with a DJ playing in the small bar area. You could not converse as the music was so loud. Why they think they need a DJ on a Wednesday at 6 pm is beyond me. Most people who go to a Happy Hour want a little peace and quiet....not blaring music. Needless to say...we left without eating or drinking. We won't be back to this location. read more

I have been going too el Torito since I meet my wife in 2009. It's our favorite spot. The food and service is always excellent. We always enjoy their very good chips and salsaI recommend this location to all our friends and family. Please keep up the great service. Not this one but the one at the riverside plaza is the worst went last night to give them one last chance .The food got worse ordered the sampler platter everything was under cooked except the nachos they were burnt a big sloppy mess I'm done with this one .Don't know why they closed the one at park Sierra they at least knew how to cook. I don't know why this Corona location thinks that their Sunday Brunch is worth $6 more per person than any other El Torito in the region when the quality of food and service is not as good. Therefore I give 1 star based on value. I always leave here stuffed and a bit more rotund. Can't help it, the food is really good. The waffles are great because you can ladle as much butter as you want onto your waffle. The ceviche is really good too. There's this cilantro dressing that is good with everything. There is a range of desserts from flan to cakes to puddings. I usually just go for a couple of waffles and a flan as dessert. The service has always been good here. Seating is done rather quickly. Never had to wait longer than 10 minutes. Servers are quick with refills and attentive when we need our plates taken away. They're always very polite and cheery, which makes tipping a little easier for me. For some reason, there are always very good looking women eating here. This may be a reason I frequent this place almost every Sunday. lol. The tacos are also another reason I keep coming back here. Carnitas and carne asada are so good and fresh. No salsa for me, just onions and cilantro to perfect it. So Sunday brunch here is good because it's delicious, when you're done you can watch football, and best of all it puts you in the best food coma! read more

I come here regularly on Taco Tuesday, and for my Bday coupon only. It seems as if my husband and I are magnets to this same server, Jose. I'm almost sorry to write this review mainly about him, but I had enough. He has the worst concept of cordination and we always wait too long for our water, napkins and even chips and salsa. This guy have been working there for quite some time now, so he should have gotten used to the busy Tuesday nights. I have been a VIP card carrying member of this establishment for the past 10 years. The food quality here is comparable to other El Toritos that I have been to, but we came today for brunch and sat in the bar to avoid the hour wait for a table and our bartender Jersey was great! I've been to this location many times and the service is Top Notch!! The assistant manager, Clifton, is great! He takes the time out of his busy work day to greet the guests on the way in & he even took time with us as we walked out to chat and make sure that our visit was everything that we expected. I can't say enough about him. The manager, Eric, is also very nice. Honestly, I don't know many managers and I don't usually expect to speak to them when I enter a restaurant. Visited El Torito Corona on November 1, 2019. The family ordering next to us complained to the manager that their food didn't taste right. I thought they were just hard to please. After eating our own meal, I was sick for five days afterwards. Someone in the kitchen is not cleaning properly, or their food storage is not adequate. I've been coming to El Torito for a good 9 years (varies locations) for their happy hour and taco Tuesday. This is my first IE El Torito spot to try out and this particular location and taco Tuesday special has been a major let down. We got only all their tacos (pollo, carne asada, carnitas) for their taco Tuesday for $1.50 each. The texture of the meat and tortilla was just awful. The tortilla was like rubber or playdoh like texture; meat was very chewy and tasted like it's been frozen for a long time before they decided to use this batch. The salsa and chips, tasted old and uh not like how I've tasted at other locations. El Torito is a big franchise it should taste the same regardless or their cooks. Unless their sodium in their preservative got the best of their food. Their customer service was great. I was greeted by this gentlemen. We sat at the bar or Catina area and the staff there were as attentive as they can since it was pretty packed. We were seated and got our checks in a timely manner. Two stars for that. Would i come back? Not to this location to the very least. And not to taco Tuesday. Where's Taqueria at?! Lol. read more

I went there Yesterday 10-29-17 and I was so disappointed the food was ok, but my drink was so weak. Because we had been in the car for awhile I got up to use the Women's room and guess what???? The bathrooms are closed (broken) both Men and Women's I was told to walk to MiMi's to use their facilities. How awkward is that? Hosting staff is literally the worst I've ever seen. What kind of a system are you running here? It's not difficult, first come, first serve.
