From the sayings and pictures of our history painted on the walls to the explanations behind them, it was beautiful to see our culture and history represented so thoughtfully, and even better that others get to learn about our country through it. Dining in with my family was a great experience. Having the option to choose from the prepared food or order directly from the menu was a huge plus. A big hit for all of us including a 2 year old! Entrees came with very good beans and the rice showed up too! The sweet plantains were very good as an added side. A variety of frosty beverages, sodas and fruity drinks were offered. BYOB seems to be accepted. We had a very friendly server and the place had a nice vibe. But I will say that as a Latino this place took me home in a bowl. The beans were just like my wife makes, accept it's a different bean. Now I know this is an Arepa bar and I should have had an Arepa but I am not a fan of Arepa's. It's a texture thing for me, but I love the items that go inside of them. As for my co-worker, He had two Arepas and a sugarcane lemonade drink and a cheese stick. He loved every bite! So Arepas are a must buy here along with a rice bowl like I had. Side note: you got to try their sauces! Their hot sauce is called Picante and is made with Habanero peppers. Look out for that one it's super hot! The garlic Sauce and the cilantro sauce taste great but the colors will confuse you. I bet when you see the sauces you'll guess the wrong color with the flavor.
