Great stop before heading to Mexicali. The place is clean and has everything here. They have clean restrooms as well. The clerk and staff was very friendly. This is our go to for all your needs. We had a quick shot of tequila to dedicate my friend's father who passed away, a tradition before heading to Mexicali.

3 rolled beef tacos and it came with rice, beans, cucumbers, salsa sauce, and all the toppings.

I got the 3 rolled beef tacos and it came with rice, beans, cucumbers, salsa sauce, and all the toppings (lettuce, sour cream, guac, green salsa). Everything was delicious and the service was quick and friendly! I was very surprised considering this town was kind of in the middle of nowhere but I am very happy that I came across this place and tried it. I would definitely come back again! PS. I got confused because I was looking for El taco Loco but this actually turned out to be it! They have two yelp pages so the other location is not correct on the maps.

Wow,,love this place 24 hour food,so yummy..Store sells fresh meat, produce among other things,,yes it over priced it is in middle of nowhere SoCal. Has truck parking pot holes but manageable...Will eat here again

Your best bet of food around town at that's open at 9:30pm since there's not much around. They literally have everything, sandwiches, burgers, Mexican food, etc. This place is located in the convenient store of the gas station. The store even has a mini grocery section of veggies and meat! Literally anything you would need they have. We ordered 4 tacos - 2 cabeza, 1 asada, and 1 pastor. The cabeza and asada were delicious. The cabeza was very soft which was perfect. It could be a little saltier though but still overall delicious. The pastor meat was a bit hard though, didn't feel fresh. Overall everything else was great! They give you enough hot sauce / salsa and YouCam even ask for more!

*** Pitstop Review (Westmorland) *** When pulling into town I always stop at the first station with the big sign and forget about this little Chevron. This time around I decided to make a stop at the Chevron to fuel up and see what's going on inside. It turns out that it's a nice little mom & pop market that serves the locals. It also has a butcher in the back and a small kitchen in the front. I picked up an al pastor burrito to-go. Here's what liked... * The burrito was pretty flavorful. I think it's better than average but not the best I've tasted. Perhaps if I told them to hold back on the beans it would have tasted better. I'm thinking that al pastor tastes better in a taco form over a burrito form for me. * I like the one stop shop. I'll give them an extra star for being the ONLY decent place to eat in town. If you're hungry just pull over here and grab a bite to eat. * Easy parking even for full-sized vehicles. * Very friendly girl at the register and equally friendly store patrons (locals). There's something I cant quite put my finger on in terms of how I can tell people are genuinely nice. Is it the smile? Is it the wave? Is it that they held the door open for me? I'm not sure, but there's something in small towns like this one I certainly do not see in the big city (anymore)... Here's what I didn't like... * Nothing comes to mind. Food = good Seating area = none Service = very friendly Restroom = so-so

I was staying at the Love's truck stop in Westmoreland, Ca. This plate is 6 beef rolled tacos, freaking amazing

Was craving Mexican food while in town and found this lively spot on Yelp. And boy am I glad I…read moredid. This place is best described as a trendy, somewhat upscale Mexican restaurant. The ambience is awesome, dimly lit with lively music bumping. Not only is the environment lively, the food and drinks are AWESOME. I sat at the self seating bar as I was dining solo. The bartender, very friendly guy, took my order. Forgot his name but he is a good looking guy, which sort of fits the upscale scene. Every table gets complimentary salsa tray which I presume has avocado salsa, verde, mocajete, and limes. The salsas were DELICIOUS. I do wish they gave some complimentary chips along with it. Everything I ordered: Carne asada burrito, substitute beans with rice - 9/10. Was very delicious especially when accompanied with the salsas. For the drinks: Oaxaca Old Fashioned - 10/10. I love old fashioneds and they nailed it here. Instead of whiskey, they use mezcal which was delicious. Agave Spritz - 10/10. Mezcal with prosecco. Fantastic. No words. The only thing I would recommend to the restaurant is including prices of the cocktails on the menu. After finishing eating I had no idea what the damage would be but it turned out to be very reasonable, $13 per cocktail. I wish I gave this place a shot earlier during my work trip, but anyhow if I am ever back in town, this is in my highly recommended list of restaurants. They also had one projector screen showing the World Cup game. They also have Happy Hour 3-6 PM. Parking is plentiful, shared with the rest of the plaza. Would I come back? You bet.

However I went with a friend who ordered a santo chile (or something) and the plate looked delicious. Their queso fundido was the best part of my experience combined with the Tamarindo agua Fresca. Apologies did not take a picture. I will update as I want to go again before I leave town.

Service was amazing, so quick to come out with fresh chips and salsa (FRESH! as in they made the chips in-house... rare trait to come by these days IMO). Quantity of food was incredible. I can't speak for the menudo (dad got this) or for the 3 egg platter (not really sure why my mom got this) but $16 for a carne asada burrito as well as the beans, rice, and veggies on the side was such a steal. Especially in Anza Borrego. I would've thought it would maybe be more expensive since it probably costs a lot to bring out the best ingredients in the desert but somehow they have it all figured out. The carne asada burrito meat was top tier. Smoky flavor, soft with charred edges, so flavorful and overall the quantity of the burrito was way more than I was expecting. Lastly, I'm just so happy my dog got to sit outside with us. They have a shaded patio with a couple tables. I think other pet parents followed suit, as this seems to be a hit for dog-friendly spots here in Anza Borrego. I'd highly recommend. What a great find by me. Go me!! This is truly a hole in the wall that needs more recognition. You won't be let down!
