One of our new regular spots - gone twice in 2 weeks! El Sol offers great service and delicious Mexican cuisine. Nice relaxing vibe and very friendly staff. Started off with the empanadas and ceviche. Both were excellent and super flavorful. For entrees, we had the pollo relleno, steak ala Jalisco, el sol signature steak and the fajitas mixtas. Pollo relleno was a unique dish with great sauce. The steak ala Jalisco was fine, but the el signature steak definitely stood out with its marinade. All of their meals are great value for the price but the stand out was the fajitas. The mixtas offers steak, chicken and shrimp. We all ordered these on our 2nd visit. For me, the steak and shrimp were the best. We finished the meal with churros and tres leches. While it was delicious, $19 for the dish was as a bit high. Overall, this place is one of our new favorites. My fiancée had left his credit card and we appreciated their honesty about it. Will be back soon to try some of their weekly specials. read more

I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas and thought they were absolutely delicious. The pieces are chopped up chunks and not shredded chicken *** thought I would add this for the readers just in case you have a preference. I ordered a side of rice and beans (each I believe $5 each). We also ordered Mexican corn as a side. My loved ones loved their burritos! It was a combination of chicken and beef. They loved the sauce. The only thing that was difficult is the music is very loud and lively but we were with our senior loved ones and she left feeling the music was too loud for her dinner. I found this place on (9.9.25) without even trying to look for it. I was by the bus terminal which wasn't far and was curious to see what this restaurant was all about. I had a few minutes before my next bus so I walked over and it was the best decision ever. As I walked inside there were a few customers sitting at the bar area and I also took a seat. The server gave me a menu and proceeded to bring some chips and salsa. Yum yum yum! Then, the bartender took my order for both food (tacos de birria, tacos de sol and tacos de camarón) and a drink (passion fruit margarita). TACO TUESDAYS IS $3, great deal and its delicious!!! My food order was approaching (yes of course had to take my pictures) I got very excited to try each one. When I tell you that each taco bite was out of this world, just wow!!!!!! It was hot, fresh and very tasteful. Each taco was just right! I love a taco that is full to the top and even if it gets messy!!! Oh my birria taco came with a small consume on the side which was delicious but a little too salty for me. By the way, my passion fruit margarita was so good too! I had the pleasure of having brunch at El Sol GL on Sunday 7/20/25 and wow this place is truly a hidden gem. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by friendly waiter who sat us down. We were invited to this special brunch by a friend of the owner who wanted us to give our honest feedback. He also greeted us and was super friendly. The food: I ordered the breakfast bowl because it had a little bit of everything I was craving. It was true mix of breakfast and brunch but latin style. This dish had Moro, which is essentially rice and beans cooked together with special seasonings that make the rice dark. Let me tell you, as someone who makes Moro at home, I was very impressed. The flavors were there and the rice was cooked to my liking. The Moro included a fun twist, it had pieces of tater tots which gave it a little crunch. The dish also came with skirt steak which was flavorful and cooked to perfection and finally it also had two friend eggs on top. I give this dish a 10/10. For the drinks, they have a variety of flavored mimosas. I ordered the Hawaiian mimosa. The flavor was good but it's def on the sweeter side. This is something that I'm sure can be adjusted. The vibe and music: the music was good! Honestly made us wish we could dance. My sister who is huge on music and dancing was very impressed at the selection. It was trending Latin music with the perfect variation in genres. If you're in the area or just simply want to have some flavorful Latin food with a twist. I highly suggest you give EL SOL a try. The noise level came down to a loud but bearable level after the party left. Had such a great lunch today with two girlfriends! We started with a delicious margarita and shared the guacamole and salsa with chips--so fresh and flavorful. We split a salad and the platter for two, which was more than enough for the three of us. Everything was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented.
