We found two other places to try first on Yelp but the first was an empty building ready for lease and the second was chained up. When we got here, that's where everybody was. It was busy but very quick service. Our server very quickly got us menus and took our order. The waters come with a slice of lime. The table comes with a salsa Rojo and verde. I ordered the chorizo and eggs which was came with a massive fresh flour tortilla, the meat and eggs combo was tasty and soft. I also ordered two crispy ground beef tacos and they were juicy and came with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. My dad ordered the pancakes and bacon, one of his pancakes was still raw. Omgosh! Stopped on the way out of town to grab a quick taco and so glad we did. Small Taco is the size of a burrito in some parts of Texas so order accordingly. Everytime I go back home to visit family, I have to stop at this place because of the great tortillas! Growing up with tortillas every morning at my grandmother's house has kind of made me a bit of a "Tortilla Snob"....according to my wife. haha! Came here for breakfast on the way to HRL Airport and didn't leave disappointed at all! Really fast service, food was fresh and still hot, and everyone was extremely nice who works here. Great place food was great services was great. We were coming back from a car show and with trailer thankfully there was lots of parking space. Place was full but there is many tables and chairs so there was no waiting time on a Sunday morning. The table next to us had a birthday and the waiters came by to sign happy birthday to them which I thought was pretty nice. My husband ordered the chicharrón breakfast plate and he said it was really good the chicharrón was crispy. I ordered the chilaquiles which were also great. Found this place after finding out that lonnie's down home and koffee klatch both close at 2 pm on Sundays. Sadly, this place serves breakfast all day but didn't come up in my yelp search for breakfast in Harlingen! Anyway, it was the best breakfast I've ever had in the valley. Huevos con chorizo, bacon fatty refried beans, flour tortillas the size of a dinner plate. Throw in good coffee, fast service, and house made chips and delicious salsa, and I'll call it a full five stars. If I was still hungry I would have ordered banana pancakes, too. We waited 10 min and watched people sit down after us, get tended to. I finally got up and walked over go grab our own menus. I stopped a waitress and asked if we could please give our orders, which she replied I will send someone over. 5 minutes later no one showed up. We got fed up and left, from my assessment they were grossly under staffed. I never blame staffing issues on employees. That is a direct failure of management. I will never return here, if there was a lack of staff for whatever reason then the managers should have been out helping. Never again! read more

First time here. Have passed it up many times on my way to the VA. Had breakfast with my wonderful wife of 33 years and we were impressed. The food was hot, well cooked and in good portions. The flour tortillas rivaled my wife's whose home made flour tortillas I consider the best. The food looked so good that I forgot to take a pic.
