Ordered caldo de pollo. Flour tortillas large and deliciously TOASTY!! Caldo contained 1 small drumstick, 1 MINI thigh and another little bony piece with a bite of meat on it. The broth was a tiny bit warmer than room temperature - and a bit diluted. Veggies - half a small potato, 2-3 carrot slices and a few pieces of green squash, 2 slivers of onion. I came to eat here with family and I really enjoyed the food here! We came for breakfast and ordered different items off the menu. I ordered the huevos rancheros with salsa on the side and flour tortilla. It tasted great and the coffee was amazing as well! It has huge portions compared to San Antonio Mexican food, it doesn't compare. Our waitress was very attentive. I would recommend trying this place when in San Benito. read more

This is our first time in Vicky's and was an excellent meal. Very authentic Mexican food and probably the biggest chili relleno I ever eaten. Was looking for somewhere different to have lunch in San Benito. Yelp found Vicky's and the reviews were good so we decided to give it a whirl. Nice and clean, not too loud, although only about 25 people in the place. I ordered the Enchilada Suizas and my wife had the Mexican plate. The tomatillo sauce was nice & tangy and the chichen was nicely seasoned. My wife like her cheese enchilada as well. Our rice was on point! The refried beans were good as well. Overall, for us, we thought the whole meal was lacking in seasoning, except for the rice, just little salt woke up the flavors. I ordered a Corona Michelada to drink and it was one of the best I've had, simple, but very tasty! This was a carry out, because of Covid and all, so to rate higher I feel would be foolish as I don't know how the service is inside. We ordered the parillada platter two of them and it was just enough for five people it should have been enough for eight... the food was good though. I was at work decided to place an online order for the first time at this restaurant, 5 minutes later I got a notification through GRUB HUB that the restaurant cancelled my order. I called and they had my order wrong, then the lady came back on the phone and said the order was ready, I asked them why did it say it was cancelled, she put me on hold then came back saying "we're only accepting cash, our internet is not working, we cannot charge cards" then WHY don't they call the customers who placed online orders if there's a problem and take it upon themselves to make it a cash transaction? There's a lot of good Mexican food in the San Benito area, but Vicky's isn't at the top of that list. The menu is quite American, and it seems they are trying to do too much. I think Vicky's could really benefit by cutting their menu in half, and focusing on a few dishes they prepare really well. I ordered the Tacos Monterrey with a side of rice and beans. The tacos were good, but they weren't any better than most Mexican restaurants in the area. My uncle ordered the Fideo, and seemed to be impressed by it. Maybe I will order that next time. Love this place. My husband and I have gone twice. Our first experience was a little better than the second but both were overall good. We ordered a salad, special #1 and also a quesadilla. The quesadilla was amazing, it's my new favorite although all the food was enjoyable and delicious. The only thing was that on our second visit, there were two larger parties there in the restaurant as well and I think it took away from the other guests. We didn't seem to have a specific waiter, but rather many different people approaching our table throughout the meal. This isn't a huge deal but as far as I understand, you get chips and salsa to start. We were brought salsa but no chips. Little strange.
