Crunchy housemade shell, tasty fillings, good quality meats, good size. Pastor was the best meat. The super burrito was disappointing. Unbalanced ingredients, mostly beans and meat, hardly anything else. Tortilla is housemade. They are relatively busy around lunch time and most of the customers are Spanish speaking. They give you a buzzer so you know when you pick up. It took about 10 mins for my order. Really solid Mexican food, some of the best tacos I've had since being in Mexico. Went around 6p on a Friday and there was a line but the food came out hot and in a reasonable amount of time. Prices are also great and affordable. Beware there is no seating here so prepare to take your food home or eat in your car (removed a star for that). Next time we'll bring some chairs to tailgate. Yeah this is it. This is what MF'in taco trucks are supposed to be all about- cheap eats, (surprisingly) quick service, mad locals in line, and food that slaps. We got to the truck around 10pm and got out by like 10:35 even with a long ass line. The super burrito is huge. Fish tacos were fresh and all the salsas they have us went great with everything. My wife and I shared everything and I was hungry hungry, but still couldn't finish the burrito. At less than $25, I'd say that's a win. Pshh, and they say CA is unaffordable. These new guys and yes, it's literally young guys now are the worst I have ever experienced. Even when you do speak to one of them they always have a nasty attitude or sound like they hate their lives and they're so slow they cannot handle the multitasking. Loveeeeeee the tacos here! Super fresh, super flavorful, fast service! The line can get long but it goes relatively fast. Plenty of parking in the lot but not really a place to dine. There are a few benches behind the truck and a ledge against the truck you can eat at, and along the sidewalk of course. El Roy's is one of my favorite spots in Petaluma. The orange food truck is usually parked at the Fairgrounds parking lot and is a highlight of my day whenever I visit. The workers are all nice and make the ordering simple. My go-to is the Carne Asada Torta (see photo). This Mexican sandwich is delicious. I get it with everything on it and then my pro-tip/recommendation is to ask for a roasted jalapeño and onions on the side as an extra. When I don't get that, I get a Super Burrito and one more credit on my stamp card that gets Buy 9, Get the 10th Burrito FREE. With tax and tip, it's a great lunch for $14-15 dollars. However, during today's visit, there's an employee Fabiana (in her badge) that is on the Pick Up window that is grumpy and not so friendly. Most of the time, I always have pleasant experience and great customer service! I ordered- steak fajitas plate, asada and al pastor super burrito, cheese quesadilla, shrimp taco, asada taco. Total was almost $60. Asked for sauce and she's unhappy to even give. Haven't seen Fabiana again after that. Life is sometimes not fair. To whit: why does Petaluma get 3 versions of El Roy's (all within walking distance of one another) while Marin has none? Some politician needs to rectify this disparity. I've always avoided this particular El Roy's in favor of the other two. One is a brick and mortar shop, the other (my favorite) is another taco truck. However, that taco truck doesn't make an appearance mid-day so I opted to try this one. El Roy's Express Mex 2 sits in/near the parking lot for the Sonoma County fairgrounds and it is seemingly always buzzing with activity. On the day I visited it appeared that every worker within a 5 mile radius came here for lunch. Some phoned in their orders and some - like me - waited in a reasonably paced line to order. My El Roy's orders are usually never anything more than a fish taco, a carne asada taco, and a shrimp super burrito and my visit here was no different. As always, oder up some green salsa and some red salsa and ask for a container of their pickled carrots/onions/jalapenos. This order ran me less than $21 all in and represented 3 meals, all delicious. El Roy's: please come to Marin. We need you. read more

Starving after a 16 hour travel day, I decided to try some shrimp hardshell tacos. I was met with the worst food poisoning I have ever had. On top of it, the food wasn't even that good. I am really disappointed with El Roy's, you know people rave about them; but as far as I am concerned, they are not all that good. There Burritos come tightly wrapped in aluminum, and once I open them up and take a bite the meat, beans, cheese, rice and or salsa are so compressed that it feels like I am eating more tortilla, and the taste is not impressive. I have had their tacos too, and believe me, I have had much better at other Mexican restaurants. For the price, they are not worth it. Called and placed an order with Ana of three super burritos and an order of taco Dorados. When I went to pick up my order, I realize I received the wrong Taco and when I confronted Ana, she started yelling at me, telling me I was wrong and that she gave me what I ordered. It was so loud that the people waiting in line to place their order heard how she was yelling at me. This is not the way you treat a customer and if you're wrong, you simply apologize and fix the order. She needs to fix her attitude or not work in customer service. read more

I came and purchased a super burrito with no meat and I asked for extra beans and extra rice.. I paid $13.50 for the super burrito. When I got the burrito it was the size of their $7.50 regular bean and rice burrito and when I asked about my extra beans and rice I got a long story. So long story short, I paid six extra dollars person sour cream. Because I asked about a refund they told me they had to ask to see if I can get one so I just said you know what keep it.... So based on that experience, I won't eat here anymore and I at least ate here six times out of the month. read more
