Best Mexican place in Santa Rosa! The dorado tacos are delicious and the carbs asada burritos too! Sometimes there's a line so I like calling in advance. read more

First time trying el reys. The girl taking my order didnt really seem interested in listening to my order. I just got a super burrito with no guacamole. I asked her if she got "no guac", she just kind of nodded vaguely. I ordered, paid, got my wait ringer thingy. When my ringer went off I went to get my order and confirmed with a different girl "is that a super burrito, no guac?" The girl said yep and I took it and drove home to windsor. There was guacamole, which I hate. I tried to scrape it out but what a mess. They also forgot salsa, cheese and sour cream. I think they gave me someone else's order. Very disappointed. That'll teach me just to take someone's word my order is correct. read more

Decent taco truck located in a large parking lot. Walked up and ordered 3 tacos Dorados (asada, al pastor, lengua) $4.25 each, and a cabeza super burrito $13. The tacos were excellent. Crunchy housemade shell, tasty fillings, good quality meats, good size. Pastor was the best meat. The super burrito was disappointing. Unbalanced ingredients, mostly beans and meat, hardly anything else. Tortilla is housemade. They are relatively busy around lunch time and most of the customers are Spanish speaking. They give you a buzzer so you know when you pick up. It took about 10 mins for my order. They have 2 kinds of salsas and have pickled carrots, onions, and jalapeños, but they are only given upon request. Plenty of parking. I recommend calling ahead to skip the wait read more

Our first visit, but won't be our last! The regular burrito with Al Pastor was delicious, hot & filling. And the Al Pastor tostada was crunch, fresh & yummy. Topped it off with a coke from Mexico & had a wonderful lunch. Staff was friendly & helpful. read more

It's really really gewd! Ordered three tacos - pollo, carnitas, and cabeza. All were super flavorful and prepared with such care. Staff is great! It's a food truck so the ambiance is where it's parked... read more

BEST BURRITO OUTSIDE OF SF - honestly maybe even beats SF. The carve asada super burrito can't be beat here and friendly service too! I almost don't want to give a positive review because I don't want them to blow up even more... but they'll just open another location. So easy to call in food for pickup. read more

Food is always great here. The super burrito with the shrimp sauce is a must trust me it's so good. Service is quick portions are solid and don't forget to ask for the burrito card because the 10th burrito is free. Not much ambiance since it's basically a food truck in a parking lot but the food more than makes up for it. read more

Great food truck. Great crunchy tacos & horchata is good! Best food hard shell tacos in Petaluma!! Highly recommended.

Really solid Mexican food, some of the best tacos I've had since being in Mexico. Went around 6p on a Friday and there was a line but the food came out hot and in a reasonable amount of time. Prices are also great and affordable. Beware there is no seating here so prepare to take your food home or eat in your car (removed a star for that). Next time we'll bring some chairs to tailgate. This place is going to be a staple, can't wait to try the whole menu! read more

The best and only food truck that matters. Always busy and food is fresh and consistent. The girls are competent and don't fekk up the orders. This is a well oiled machine. Orale! read more

Yeah this is it. This is what MF'in taco trucks are supposed to be all about- cheap eats, (surprisingly) quick service, mad locals in line, and food that slaps. We got to the truck around 10pm and got out by like 10:35 even with a long ass line. The super burrito is huge. Fish tacos were fresh and all the salsas they have us went great with everything. My wife and I shared everything and I was hungry hungry, but still couldn't finish the burrito. At less than $25, I'd say that's a win. Pshh, and they say CA is unaffordable. I paid more than that for some funky ass fried chicken plate in Puerto Rico a couple weeks ago. read more

El Roy's is my go-to spot, especially on nights when I don't feel like cooking. The service is always quick and friendly, and the food is consistently delicious. I highly recommend their tacos dorados with carne asada they never disappoint! read more

El Roy’s Express Mex - Tacos dorados with carnitas - Food Trucks Near Me - Petaluma, California

Great food and location. Wish they'd enable online ordering or dedicate someone to answer the phone for pick up orders. They do answer but you're put on hold and it feels like they forget you're there. I love the Al pastor tacos and super burrito. The street tacos are my usual thing. read more

Truck is parked in front of the fairgrounds. When we went it was easy to park right in-front of the truck. No where to sit and eat. Most people took it to go or ate in their cars. Service is fast. You order and they call your number. We ordered a quesadilla and 5 tacos. My favorite was the Al Pastor. My daughter liked the carnitas. We would both pass on the chicken next time. $22 for 3 of us. read more

Loveeeeeee the tacos here! Super fresh, super flavorful, fast service! The line can get long but it goes relatively fast. Plenty of parking in the lot but not really a place to dine. There are a few benches behind the truck and a ledge against the truck you can eat at, and along the sidewalk of course. I was just visiting a friend in the area and was recommended this truck for dinner- and enjoyed it very much! read more

El Roy’s Express Mex - Tacos - Food Trucks Near Me - Petaluma, California

The food is great. The service is horrible. When they had the girls working, they were on top of it always picked up the phone super efficient. These new guys and yes, it's literally young guys now are the worst I have ever experienced. Even when you do speak to one of them they always have a nasty attitude or sound like they hate their lives and they're so slow they cannot handle the multitasking. The owner needs to bring back the old female staff and definitely fire these guys. It's been months now and these guys still suck. read more

El Roy’s Express Mex - Tell me this is not ridiculous.. and this isn't the one off. This is literally always the case. - Food Trucks Near Me - Petaluma, California

El Roy's is one of my favorite spots in Petaluma. The orange food truck is usually parked at the Fairgrounds parking lot and is a highlight of my day whenever I visit. The workers are all nice and make the ordering simple. My go-to is the Carne Asada Torta (see photo). This Mexican sandwich is delicious. I get it with everything on it and then my pro-tip/recommendation is to ask for a roasted jalapeño and onions on the side as an extra. When I don't get that, I get a Super Burrito and one more credit on my stamp card that gets Buy 9, Get the 10th Burrito FREE. With tax and tip, it's a great lunch for $14-15 dollars. Not bad these days. Next thing to try is the Horchata and Champurrada (Mexican Hot Chocolate). Enjoy! read more

El Roy’s Express Mex - Carne Asada Torta - Food Trucks Near Me - Petaluma, California

Life is sometimes not fair. To whit: why does Petaluma get 3 versions of El Roy's (all within walking distance of one another) while Marin has none? Some politician needs to rectify this disparity. I've always avoided this particular El Roy's in favor of the other two. One is a brick and mortar shop, the other (my favorite) is another taco truck. However, that taco truck doesn't make an appearance mid-day so I opted to try this one. El Roy's Express Mex 2 sits in/near the parking lot for the Sonoma County fairgrounds and it is seemingly always buzzing with activity. On the day I visited it appeared that every worker within a 5 mile radius came here for lunch. Some phoned in their orders and some - like me - waited in a reasonably paced line to order. My El Roy's orders are usually never anything more than a fish taco, a carne asada taco, and a shrimp super burrito and my visit here was no different. As always, oder up some green salsa and some red salsa and ask for a container of their pickled carrots/onions/jalapenos. This order ran me less than $21 all in and represented 3 meals, all delicious. El Roy's: please come to Marin. We need you. read more

02/27/25- Been coming here for so long, ever since! Too many times that I don't have to do my reviews anymore! And when it comes to my order, I don't need to search or try new stuff because I had already tried and tested what El Roy is all about! And it's all about goodness at it's finest! However, during today's visit, there's an employee Fabiana (in her badge) that is on the Pick Up window that is grumpy and not so friendly. Most of the time, I always have pleasant experience and great customer service! I ordered- steak fajitas plate, asada and al pastor super burrito, cheese quesadilla, shrimp taco, asada taco. Total was almost $60. Asked for sauce and she's unhappy to even give. Haven't seen Fabiana again after that. Idk if she is still there or maybe not employed there anymore or I am just comin when she ain't there. See you again El Roy! read more

Some of the best Mexican food I've had near Marin County. The proportions and quality are definitely well worth your money yet they keep prices affordable. The staff that works the truck are always so nice and work to get your food out in a timely manner. read more

What a wonderful place to be able to stop by and grab excellent food. Love the shrimp tacos! Great service in addition to tasty treats.

Starving after a 16 hour travel day, I decided to try some shrimp hardshell tacos. I was met with the worst food poisoning I have ever had. On top of it, the food wasn't even that good. Save yourself the illness and don't go here. I'm now nearly at 36 hours after and still feel incredibly ill and out of it. Will be contacting Sonoma County Health Department. read more

I am really disappointed with El Roy's, you know people rave about them; but as far as I am concerned, they are not all that good. There Burritos come tightly wrapped in aluminum, and once I open them up and take a bite the meat, beans, cheese, rice and or salsa are so compressed that it feels like I am eating more tortilla, and the taste is not impressive. I have had their tacos too, and believe me, I have had much better at other Mexican restaurants. For the price, they are not worth it. Plus they charge extra for salsa and chips, where as other restaurants include chips and salsa for free. read more

Called and placed an order with Ana of three super burritos and an order of taco Dorados. When I went to pick up my order, I realize I received the wrong Taco and when I confronted Ana, she started yelling at me, telling me I was wrong and that she gave me what I ordered. It was so loud that the people waiting in line to place their order heard how she was yelling at me. This is not the way you treat a customer and if you're wrong, you simply apologize and fix the order. She needs to fix her attitude or not work in customer service. read more

I have often seen the long lines around this food truck and thought to myself, "Hmm, I wonder what that's all about. Maybe I'll check it out one day." Welp, that one day was today. I got the super burrito with chicken - and man oh man, whew - they did not disappoint! The burrito was excellent. I also got an horchata - which was pretty good - but not great...hence the 4 stars. But for the burrito alone - solid 5 stars. I'd happily eat El Roy's again. read more

great tacos good prices, can't wait to go back, we ate at the truck at 401 east Washington st, very good and fast service

Great Mexican food. Shrimp tacos and steak tostada is my go to. El Roy's never disappoints.

Delicious horchata, tbh there could more seating provided given the wait at dinner time. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito and it was good! What I expected, and for $7 it's a pretty stellar deal. read more

I came and purchased a super burrito with no meat and I asked for extra beans and extra rice.. I paid $13.50 for the super burrito. When I got the burrito it was the size of their $7.50 regular bean and rice burrito and when I asked about my extra beans and rice I got a long story. So long story short, I paid six extra dollars person sour cream. Because I asked about a refund they told me they had to ask to see if I can get one so I just said you know what keep it.... So based on that experience, I won't eat here anymore and I at least ate here six times out of the month. read more
