El Rancho on Coit near Spring Valley.

I was hungry for Taco Bueno crunchy beef tacos, but I like fresh avocado slices on my tacos. So, I had never been to El Rancho before and figured they had some avocados. I was a little at a disadvantage because I don't speak or read Spanish. But I found avocados and some nice looking frescas (strawberries) and grapes. All of the produce looked good and the prices were great. I would shop here again!

Definitely recommend this rancho specifically the bakery they went above and beyond with my daughters cake . We where rather having a small gathering as first part of celebration and this cake exceeded our expectations and only paid $40!

One of my favorite place for food shopping they have everything here and people are helpful. It's cheaper than most supermarket out there and reasonable price.

I wonder the kind of fumes that box expelled. My appetite was gone

Good tasting food but the foam of the to go box is just so dangerous for people!!! Please watch on that. Please train your food server to either follow healthy protocol to use the to go boxes or get a better ones.

I surprisingly LOVE this place. When I drove by I didn't think it was the place for me but after some persuasion from a friend I went in. The fruit waters here are amazing and really cheap. I also bought a flan cake here it was a little dry but still really good. But my all time favorite thing here is the little corn stand outside. I am not sure what it is called but you buy corn in a cup and they put a little butter and cheese with sour cream and some hot sauce. If you haven't had it you're missing out! I have to warn you as delicious as the corn things are they destroy your stomach, if you have too much hot sauce you're going to be farting blood by the end of the night.

This place is truly diverse. Bakery, fruit juice stand, hot prepared foods, seafood counter, meat counter, not to mention typical grocery fare. They really run the gamut. They have rearranged their produce area to add in fresh tortillas! Huge machines with employees staffed to pump out the flour and corn edible plates. I've eaten at the prepared foods many times, and am actually impressed with the taste. Only once did I have a bad meal, and it was my fault for coming in late at night. The meat was dried out, but jeez, they were about to close soon. So I overlook that. Even though I'm a fan of barbacoa, I can NOT get over the full cow's heads in the meat counter. They look so scary and their eye balls follow you. The strung up carcasses are kinda creepy too. If anything I can kill some time in here walking around and browsing. They stack product up amazingly high and you never really know what you'll come across.

El Rancho, where have you been all my life? Now I'm kind of pissed at all my Hispanic friends who have obviously been holding out on me all these years. This is one of the coolest grocery stores in the city. They've got everything including their own restaurant inside. And their prices are unbelievable. Even cheaper than Sam's in some cases! Definitely check it out.

If you want the best experience of Mexican culture- check this place out! it's not just a grocery store. It's a bakery, restaurant, aguas frescas and elote stand. Their aguas frescas are some of the best! My personal favorites are sandia (watermelon) and limon (lime). They also do freshly squeezed juice at this drink bar. As for lunch, my favorite plate thus far is the taquitos. The chicken is so moist and full of flavor. You get like 4 taquitos and rice and beans. Their rice is also fantastic and full of flavor. The salsa bar is awesome as well. Several choices of incredible salsa. My favorite is the warm, red salsa. I can see many more meals here in the future of this current pregnancy :) Best chips ever- Tortillas de Nopal. Nopal is cactus. They may sound weird, but let me tell you, they are incredibly addictive. We always get the chips and fish ceviche on our way out. The fish ceviche is very very good. The elote (corn) stand on the way out is some of the best. It's far beyond any definition of healthy by any means, but tastes darn good! I think this may be more of a weekend thing, as I'm not sure the stand is there during the week. Can't wait to go hang out with the paisas again!!!

The phone number(s) given direct one to a general call center. While I'm sure those employed there are knowledgeable, I am more comfortable speaking with people at the actual store, who I have found to be very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions via their personal experience. In my attempts to call at least three different stores, I get the "Third Degree" as to WHY I wish to call the store...with THIS particular store (Preston and Belt Line, Addison, TX), my reply that I preferred to speak with someone at the actual store was not sufficient, and I was told they DON'T HAVE A NUMBER! RIDICULOUS! In another situation, it took me quite some time convincing a call center rep to get the Wylie, TX location's number until I gave the reason that I was an EXCELLENT customer, but that could quickly change if I was not given the local number! It was only then that it was, grudgingly, given. Perhaps "Corporate" needs reminding that Central Market, Captain Dave's, Hirsch's Meats, etc. are just short jaunts away and I can directly speak to those at each actual location with ease. Again, no complaints with the stores, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has received the "Third Degree" treatment and I hate to think the stores will suffer for it. In a world being overtaken with AI, much can be said for "one on one" CUSTOMER SERVICE that those at corporate levels appear to have forgotten and place too far down on their list of what is truly important.

Cooked them medium rare, and they were a bit tough, had gristle, and the flavor was about what I would expect at Tom Thumb or Kroger. Pretty disappointed and just feel like everything is way overpriced. I could be wrong, but I expect the freshest meat possible when I go to a butcher. If the steaks had been amazing, I wouldn't have cared about the price. In the past, I have purchased a prime rib, which was good but not great. The best thing I have purchased are their pork chops. Those were excellent, and the only reason this is getting three stars.

My husband had found a couple of options in Plano, and we were actually on our way there when I decided to do a quick search. That's when I found Deep Cuts based on the amazing reviews--and we were pleasantly surprised by how close it was. As soon as you walk in, the shop is immaculately clean with a really cool look to it, and they were even playing great house music, which added to the vibe. Raul helped us and he was incredibly knowledgeable about all the cuts of meat. We were looking for certain cuts, and he walked us through everything with so much expertise. We ended up getting the tri-tip, the picanha, and the marinated skirt steak to try based on the reviews. We're definitely coming back for the pork belly, and we want to try their Italian beef sandwiches during the week too. Raul mentioned we can always call ahead to make sure they have the cuts we want, which is super helpful. We were genuinely impressed with this butcher shop. Everyone working there was friendly and welcoming from start to finish. I haven't seen a butcher shop like this since I lived in Chicago. This is officially our new go-to butcher. Five stars all the way.
