Very nice supermarket with an inviting atmosphere! Super clean, spacious isles, friendly service, especially at the fast food taco area and tortilleria! The fruit water selections and juice bar is outstanding and delicious! Prices in the grocery sections are fair overall but a little on the higher side. If looking for a Mexican condiment, grocery or produce, you'll most likely find it here.

Nice store. I like the food court there for Mexican food. I also like the seafood section. Very good price!

All of the produce is clearly fresh and in its organic form - no paper/plastic packaged, greasy food like you find at Walmart.

I wanted to buy cooked meat by the pound, but barely got through with the little Espanol I know. What bothers me most was when I asked for the condiments, the guy told me they ran out and he won't make me any. It was only 6PM and they close at 9PM. I don't get it, he was making pico de gallo. He could just give me some cilantro, onion, and tomatoes for my tacos. I can only get the pico de gallo if I pay for it. RUDE!!! It's free at other Michoacana with your food. Anyways, La Michoacana has pretty good cooked meat and they are cheap. This particular location has an elotes cart outside of the store. This place inspired me to learn Spanish. I went home that night and download a Duolingo app. Hola amigos!!

THE TAQUERIA: Forget what anyone has told you about…read moretaquerias. La Michoacana No. 4 is the best place in Dallas to go for some legitimate taqueria-style tacos, served with great portions and lots of variety. Most places in the Michoacana chain of grocery stores will measure up, but the adorable old gordita behind the food counter at this upper Greenville location near Park Ln. piles on the meat(about twice as much as most places). Two Tacos is enough for a meal at this joint. I've even seen some people separate their tortillas to make two tacos from each. The choices of mouth-watering, steaming meat (from safe fajita to more adventurous lengua(tongue)) stare at you through glass, allowing you to point at what you want applied to any variety of tortas, burritos, tacos, etc. I'm salivating just thinking about it. prices: Tacos with corn tortillas - $.99 Tacos with flour tortillas - $1.99 tortas, rice, beans, etc. are also available and tasty, but i dont' have the prices memorized like I do the tacos. *Order at the checkout line, as though you're buying groceries(this is also the time to buy your beverages). Then you take your receipt to the food counter. Once your tortillas are heated, they'll ask you which meats you want. ¿SE HABLA?: If you don't, it's ok, but it certainly adds to the experience. Here are some key phrases to aid your order, add to the fun and impress your friends: - "¿cuál es éste?" or "que es esto?" = [kwall ace eh-stay] or [kay ace a-sto] = "what is this?" (good for discovering new meats under the glass for your meal) - "cebollas y cilantro" = [say-bol'-lyah ee see-lawn-tro] = onions and cilantro - "tacos de harina" = [tacos day ah-ree'-nah] = tacos with flour tortillas - "tacos de mais" = [tacos day mah-ees'] = tacos with corn tortillas I order my tamales from this location for the holidays. On Sundays, they have special Tripe tacos. Come on, Planoboy... don't be scared and give it a shot, you will seldom be disappointed in this little gem. THE MEAT: If you want a good, festive, mexican or tex mex meal, stop by La Michoacana for some pre-seasoned skirt steak. It will make a crowd-pleasing plate of fajitas and carne asada in a pinch. Could you do it better at home? Perhaps. Is the meat pre-seasoned because it's on it's way out the door? Probably. But the shop is still open and I haven't read any news stories about hispanic families dying from eating there, so your guests will be ok too. Plus you get "authenticity" points at the bbq. THE GROCERIES: I honestly think the groceries might be more expensive than a normal grocery store. You might find some specialty items, but if you're looking for real selection, Fiesta & Tom Thumb could probably meet your needs just as well. They do have a full selection of Mexican sodas (cokes, pepsis, etc.) but let's face it... the difference in taste from their American counterparts is like comparing a Brown M&M to a Blue one. But they certainly feel authentic and when you buy them for girls, they think it's something special and rare you had to trudge across the Rio Grande and fetch just for them. You probably won't find this store in an issue of Texas Monthly or an Observer's Top Ten anything... but you will have the smug satisfaction of knowing that those chumps who went to Fuel City drove way too far, got way too little meat and paid more than you did for the same tacos you can get at any average taqueria in town. The almost exclusively mexican patrons at Michoacana tell me this is where I need to go for authenticity, great portions and wonderful service at non-border town prices. I'm quite certain that any intellectually honest lover of legitimate mexican street fare will agree. ¡Le veré allí, güey! Seacrest Out.

We came mainly for the food court, they had Japanese, Chinese, Nicaraguan, African/Caribbean. We ordered from China Factory which you have to order at the front register then they give you a ticket to take to the food counter. Overall the food was good, not very crowded here.

It was warm and muggy when I walked but it isn't a big deal. First off, you cannot compare this place to HMart!!! They are completely different grocery stores because this one is 100% Korean and it's older. It is clean but it could be cleaner. All items sold at this store are in Korean and a little bit of English. There are English speaking people here (not a lot of them) however everyone does speak Korean which is fine by me because the staff were very very kind! Also, they do not sell fresh herbs or produce. Most of their food sold are packaged or frozen which come straight from Korea. They do have fresh meats and fish but I personally wouldn't buy meats here. All the fresh produce that they have like apples or Napa cabbage which aren't kept in coolers. They are on the floor around the open freezers which was odd because the store itself was not cold, it was warm throughout the store and I went here when it was 50 degrees outside. There array of numerous choices of frozen products are AWESOME! I will come back to buy dumplings and kimche and the selling point of this grocery store is that the prices are GOOD! for authentic imported Korean products, prices are so reasonable which is the best selling point of this place. Overall, I would go back just to by prepackaged and frozen food.
