Ordered a chips & guac. this is the nasty quality I got. El pollo loco needs to stop frying chips,churros, crunchy tacos, & shrimp all in the same fryer to save money. It's nasty. There's 2 spots to fry in, keep one clean for chips and churros. They need to change their oil frequently. Chips tasted as terrible as they look. Horrible quality not even full size chips. Chip bubbles had dark oil in them. The guacamole was made with the avocado for salsa base. You can see the quality and taste it. The avocado paste has a certain type of taste to it. Lemony but not natural nor from the lemon juice bottles. It tastes fake. Nothing like actual fresh chips & guac. I heard this pollo loco was terrible but I was desperate to get something to eat as I still had a long drive. Never again coming here

El Pollo is a favorite and food is always great, but tonight I had a pretty disappointing visit. Got food through the drive thru and I think it would be nice for server to ask in the future if customer have a rewards program, so people can enjoy the rewards and get to come back. She took my credit card and I showed my rewards: birthday discount and discounted chicken burrito but she said she charged me already and don't want to cancel it and do it again. Staff also did not ask to scan my rewards on app so I can earn points:(( knowing that I can't add points after the fact now. So the chicken burrito reward expires today, and hopefully I get to enjoy my $5 birthday if I go back before it expires ( we don't eat chicken everyday). El Pollo afterall is not cheap at all. I just felt there was Just no consideration. The lady just said she can't do anything and cannot cancel and start all over again, unless I go in ( not with kids in the car). So just not my day , I guess. Update: I did email the website but have not heard from them.

This location is conveniently located right off the 215 fwy east of Nuevo exit next to Sizzler with drive-thru and plenty of parking since it's in a shopping center. I've stopped here several times as I pass by and have always been satisfied with their service specifically because they always get my order right which is not common in my experience with other restaurants. Staff is friendly and very efficient specially during rush/lunch time in drive-thru. I tried their 'Grande Avocado Chicken Bowl' and tasted really good with fresh ingredients and perfectly grilled chicken. Overall I'm happy with this location and will definitely stop by again when I'm nearby.

The food was delicious my chicken was juicy and crispy at the same time. The cashier was very friendly. And the service was very fast . The restaurant was clean also the restroom.

they need to clean the salsa bar , it was a mess the food was ok , not a big fan of EPL

However, in this…read morecase, I have time today and think it's important for people to be aware that in the service industry, not every customer deserves the level of disrespect I just dealt with from the evening shift manager on 5/19/26 around 5:40 PM. I placed an online pickup order and arrived to an empty drive-thru line. I gave the name on my order and was told, "We're dropping the fries now, can you come inside?" I explained that I had an infant in the car. The response was for me to either come inside or drive back around in 3-5 minutes because the fries weren't done. I asked if they were serious and if they could simply remove the fries so I could take the rest of my order. That's when another employee, who later identified herself as the manager, came over the intercom with an unnecessarily rude and dismissive tone telling me no, because the order was placed online, I either needed to come inside or circle back around. So I parked, got my infant out of the car seat, and went inside carrying my baby. I stood directly in front of the online pickup counter while this same manager loudly called my name from behind the counter, despite clearly knowing who I was. Mind you, the fries still had not even been dropped yet at that point. She then walked over to me, asked for the name on the order again, and loudly stated, "We need a few minutes, it's not ready." Once the order was finally ready, she asked to see my confirmation before handing it over. Hopefully that's a standard practice for every customer and not selective behavior, because otherwise I'm not sure how someone would magically know there's an online order for Ashley waiting. I then asked if she was the manager, and she said yes. Here's the thing: whatever irritation, frustration, or personal issue was going on did not justify the way I was spoken to or treated. Being busy is one thing. Being unnecessarily rude and dismissive to customers is another. I've worked with the public long enough to know that attitude starts at the top, and the way this interaction was handled speaks volumes about the type of leadership being displayed. Not that losing me as a customer matters much in the grand scheme of things, but your attitude was ugly, unnecessary, and completely uncalled for.
