As I sit in the drive thru awaiting my food I felt compelled to write a review. After repeating my order several times the person taking the order is extremely incompetent and has no future in any workforce. Each time I'd ask for an item I'd get a long pause followed by faint background laughter with a repeat of the wrong order. Definitely made my craving for this place go away. I did however, have to give them at least one star since they gave me extra salsa without hesitation. Other than that it will take a lot for me to go back to this place. read more

Good food but recently had a poor experience at the drive thru. To start the wait time was considerable and once I got my food and thought all was good started to drive off but I felt like something was missing. Luckily realized that my debit card had not been returned to me prior to leaving premise. Was too late for me to back up in drive thru so swung back and of course drive thru was still busy. So I had to find a spot to park and go inside to get my debit card back. Mind you all this as my family was already anxious to get home and eat. Finally parked and went inside and informed them about my debit card. Without saying much a guy went over to the drive thru cash register and got my card along with receipt and simply handed it back with no sense of the inconvenience it caused me. They charge for cilantro dressing even though i spent $25 on a family meal, they forgot to put told in the bag and i didn't realize until i got home, and out of the 10 piece i ordered 4 of them were inedible because they were so small and overcooked. Food is usually ok, but the restaurant itself is usually less clean than I would like. Its unusual to find a table that has been recently wiped down, sometimes there is food on the seats etc. But the real disapointment was with the $3.49 Twister I got. It was so small I thought they'd made a mistake on the cup size. When I asked them they said no, that was it. Though I realize this wasn't the employee's fault, I did express my dissatisfaction to her and the manager standing next to her. They had nothing further to say, so that was my last Twister. I will not be returning to this Pollo Loco location on Vineyard Ave. I ordered two chicken avocado tacos and a barbacoa taco and received the wrong order. My incorrect order was one crispy taco and a barbacoa taco. I went to to tell the cashier and then figured out my order and gave it to me. I told her I had ordered to eat there and if I can have a plate because they gave it to me wrapped inside a bag. After seating down and opening the tacos I felt it very cold as if it had been frozen and they didn't cook it right. The tortilla was soggy. I told the workers and one lady said "oh yes, the chicken tacos come cold" I looked at her like what? Chicken tacos come cold? That is the first time I hear Pollo Loco's chicken tacos should be cold. She then took my taco and I saw her put it on something that looked like a panini presser and heat it with the aluminum wrapper on it. I was so upset at that point that I told her you know what I want my money back. I received my money and decided to answer the survey on the receipt. My experience was the worst there and no one should have to go through that. I felt bad also for an older man after me that had his order incorrect. Drove thru late last night after a very long day. Ordered tacos el carbon & original el pollo bowl. How depressing when you're really hungry, tired, & trying to avoid burgers & fries and the chicken is dry and hard to chew. This is my FAVORITE Pollo Loco in the area! I have been to all locations including Ventura, all Oxnard, and Camarillo. Everyone here is so friendly and genuine. My food is always hot, made correct, and fast!! I have been having dinner here regularly for about 2 months now and the staff here is very personable, thoughtful, fun, and upbeat. They're pure magic! Adrian, Jesus, and The Manager Freddy are stars! They're always greet me and ask how work is going and how I am. You don't get that anywhere else. I thought it was odd but very thoughtful that Adrian asked if it was ok that he took out the trash but he asked every guest and I hadn't thought that it may make other guest uncomfortable to see trash while they're eating and enjoying their meal. Very considerate of him. It doesn't matter what day part I come in or if it's the dining room or drive thru, the experience is always consistent and great! Make sure to download the app too.
