The waiter took our order shortly after, and the food came out in a timely fashion. Everything we ordered was delicious, both the food and the drinks. The restaurant itself is aesthetically nice and well decorated. The atmosphere is upbeat, and there are TVs playing sports, which makes it a fun place to hang out. Terrible service. We waited almost 30 minutes before our waiter even came to take our order. After taking our order, he never checked on us to see if everything was okay or if we needed refills. When we asked for the check, we waited nearly another 30 minutes. Instead of waiting any longer for the waiter to return, we went to the front to pay. We spoke with the manager, Monica, and explained our disappointing experience. Her response was, "Well, we're busy and someone called out." I understand that unexpected staffing issues happen, but that shouldn't become the customer's problem. A simple apology and an effort to make things right would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, the poor service and the manager's response made the experience even more disappointing. read more

What a great experience I had with the staff. I called a week ahead to make reservations for at least 12 people originally and told them I wanted to be by the mariachi band. A couple days later I called because I had add 6 people in total we were 18 peoplw and they didn't give me a hard time about it. We went to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. The parking lot is big, you can park by the other retail stores that are next door. Their food is incredible. I had the Malcajete and had the margarita flight. I was enjoying the mariachi so much that i forgot to take a picture of my food. The Mariachi made the ambiance more alive, more exciting. The Mariachi played great hits. Surprised my boyfriend with the Porsche Experience today and saw that El Pescador was less than 10 minutes away and I'm so glad we came here! The restaurant was not what I was expecting - it is so big, nice, and clean in here! It's soccer themed (not sure if it's bc of the World Cup or that the Dignity Health Sports Field is up the street) but it's so cool (the walls look like soccer balls and they have a soccer statue of soccer players). There's also tv's all over the restaurant (so much nicer than Buffalo Wild Wings tbh). The menu is huge and there's so many options. I went with the fish ceviche and it did not disappoint. My bf got chicken fajitas and was happy with it! Our server, Eloy, was very attentive and kind. He made us laugh and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The restaurant is in a good size strip mall with plenty of free parking Met with friends for dinner and happy hour was still going strong. The bar area was very lively and a little too loud for us to be able to hear one another so we sat in the main dining area. We ordered drinks and I had two appetizers for my meal. One friend ordered a burrito and the other fajitas. This place is fair prices and yummy food. Service was quick until the end. Our school staff met here for a holiday get together. It was about 18 of us and we were well taken care of by the El Pescador servers. We all ordered drink. They had a happy hour price margaritas. They also had fountain drinks and of course traditional drinks such as aguas frescas. I ordered two tacos de asada. I also ordered ceviche de pescado. My food was great! My colleagues ordered salad, burritos, shrimp. It is a seafood restaurant so they have a variety of seafood dishes too. The ambiance was laidback and there is a bar on the other side of the restaurant. There were huge TVs on the wall with a beautiful fireplace display on the screen. There is plenty of seating inside. I came here after work with a few coworkers and each one of us ordered completely different kinds of food. Overall, food was great. Customer service was really nice. She was extremely friendly and caring. The agua fresca pepino was so delicious. I love that it wasn't too sweet or to water down. Came here during a weekday for happy hour and to celebrate a birthday. It was busy, but we were seated quickly and our server came to our table within minutes. The music was loud so had to kind of shout at times We did not like the salsa. The best way to describe it is that it was not a chunky salsa and tasted more like tomato soup. We both got margaritas and were pleasantly surprised on the size of the margarita for the price. I highly recommend getting one during happy hour, you will be happy :) The food options for happy hour were ok. We got ceviche to share and it didn't taste as fresh, but was ok. We were glad they gave plenty of lemons and a good portion go avocado. I also got the taquitos and was not impressed with the amount of meat in them, but they did give a nice portion of toppings. We came for a birthday and usually you're not charged for the dessert, but we were...so that was a let down. They only offer a cheesecake too. They came and sang at the table at least. A Mexican and Seafood restaurant in Torrance, was a good choice for us for dinner, after driving all day from Sacramento. The restaurant was welcoming with nice Mexican music setting off the ambiance. The door was very good. The carnitas quesadillas was so thick with meat, and huge. The fish taco and carne asada tacos were very good. The enchilada was also good, but I would've preferred more of a cumin base sauce than the tomato base . But it didn't take away from anything because everything was so fresh. An excellent place if you're hungry. There is so much on the menu, including happy hour from 3-7 pm on weekdays. As we were getting seated, my husband asked if we could get the far back booth and the host mentioned that was the seating for staff to take their break at... I found it a bit odd that she would bluntly say this out loud instead of coming up with any other excuse as the table is in the dining room. I find it surprising that the location doesn't have a space for staff that isn't dining room space. We did ask if it would be okay for her to check with the front to see if it was okay to sit there- we did get sat there. The servers were very polite and friendly. The food was just okay. I got the camarones en ajo... 6 sad shrimp for $22. The garlic flavor was lacking and the mojo part of it was lacking as well. The rice was the best part of the meal, fluffy and flavorful. Went here for a late lunch. Good sized facility. The bar area looks like it can be used for parties / dances. A dj table was to the side and noticed the lights above. The first visit was nice. But the last two times they've practically kicked us out! Ive gone on my Friday date nights and they close at midnight! (Date nights mean a lot to my husband and I) I'm not done drinking my margarita and they are already closing on me at 11ish pm and refusing service to incoming patrons and this is coming from the manager the blond Hispanic curly haired lady with the glasses. I understand it's Black Friday, if you want to work special hours post them! My job did! I understand, we all have families we want to spend time with but this isn't the first time they do this to my husband and I. I was really enjoying my margaritas and felt pressured to leave! El Pescador is located in a strip mall in Carson. Parking is free and easy. They have a large lot. The place itself is large so you can't miss it once you drive in. They have daily specials and all sorts of events there. It has a large bar and we could see people having the best time. I think soccer was on. Sometimes they have live music and Happy Hour. You can give them a call and see what is up. They have every drink you can imagine. It can get a tad loud in the bar, but once you enter the dinning area it is quiet and a real family restaurant. There is a lot of seating in comfortable booths and the service is excellent. The staff is super nice and very kid friendly, this looked and felt like a family restaurant and everyone seemed very happy. The food is great. It is brought pretty fast and boy is it hot, so beware. We just loved all that we had. Their guacamole is tasty and they have really great enchiladas. We also had nachos and they were fresh and packed with everything my grandson wanted.
