Chicken Burrito that didn't even have chicken

I came here expecting tacos and left with emotional damage. The food was actually good, which makes this even more upsetting because the workers acted like I personally ruined their entire day by existing. The guy at the register sighed every time I spoke like I was reading him a 40 page book instead of ordering a burrito. One employee stared at me so hard while | was choosing a drink that I started getting sweaty. Then they called my order. I walked up and the cashier just handed me the bag in silence while making direct eye contact like we had unresolved history together. One of the workers looked like he'd rather be fighting the war than making horchata. Another moved so slowly I genuinely had enough time to rethink my entire life while waiting for chips. Atmosphere felt less like a restaurant and more like a family argument i accidentally walked into. Would I come back? Maybe. The food didn't deserve this rating, but the employees absolutely worked together as a team to earn it. If I could review it lower I would have

Ordered from here a few times and the food is amazing , customer service is fenomenal they do get busy during lunch hours but over all they are quick. They lobby is a great place if your sitting down to eat, they play sports on tv . Recommend coming here for food if you're eating out ! I do recommend the quesabirria tacos ! 10/10

I visited the Carson , ordered the two Carne Asada corn tortilla tacos and a Carne Asada burrito the food taste was very good however the Carne Asada meat itself had to much fat and made the taste experience not good at all , if they were to have their meat trimmed of so much fat, I think they would have a winning product.

The receipt for my burnt quesadilla.

Worst customer service. Took more than 20 to get me a refund. I asked for a quesadilla and the lady rolled her eyes like I'm making her work. How do you burn a quesadilla?

If you're craving real Mexican flavor, this place hits the spot! The chips are served warm and perfectly salted, and the guacamole is fresh

When we arrived luckily there was no wait and were sat immediately. Luckily it was only a couple moments before a party of maybe 12 arrived behind us for dinner. Our host and server were helpful and efficient. We quickly scanned through their menu and decided on their combos (pork cutlet and tempura) Our trays of paradise quickly arrived and looked beautiful! ( see attached for reference ) i loved the balanced presentation and blend of flavors. Each tray had some miso, a 4 bite California roll, some rice, soba noodles, broth, wasabi and ginger. Mine came with some dipping sauce for the tempura. Considering the amount of food I was very satisfied. The tempura was gorgeously crafted with semi thin crisped batter, and a decent amount portioned. I was mostly amazed by my girlfriends pork plate. Their crisp cutlet had beautifully made with an easy crunchy exterior and soft tender pork savory to taste. All elements complimented each other perfectly. Their soba was also good quality and a nice touch to an already balanced dinner. While I was exactly stuffed after dinner, i was still impressed with their entree presentation, quality of food, calming ambiance and great service.

It's like a mix and match of chicken, tempura, soba or udon, with rice, salad and miso. I love those types of options and this place does that well. We went on a Sunday for lunch. Busy! You just stand in line. No reception or list. I think that's awkward. Need something to manage the wait. It's odd. Service is friendly. The food can take awhile to come out. It's also not the type of place where they will check-in on you or refill your water. You have to yell out. Big parking lot with lots of stores to shop around too.

The Japanese wings are legendary for a reason, crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and packed with flavor. Definitely lived up to the hype. Beyond the wings, we also grabbed the fried rice, skewers, and takoyaki, and honestly the takoyaki was one of the highlights of the night. Good portion, great flavor, and that perfect texture you want from it. The skewers were solid too and the fried rice rounded everything out nicely. The vibe is casual and cozy, perfect for a laid back dinner with a group. It does get busy so I'd recommend making a reservation since it's a smaller spot and fills up fast. Parking can get a little tight in the strip mall during peak hours too, just something to keep in mind. Overall a really satisfying izakaya experience in the Southbay. Been a go to spot for a lot of people in the area for a reason and after this visit I totally get why. Will definitely be back. I think besides the highlight of foods the other dishes were just pretty good.

Yesterday, I visited this location for the first time. The food here was hit and miss. I tried a variety of items off of the menu. Here is a rapid fire review of each item: -Edamame: 2/5 stars. Bland. Could have at least sprinkled a dash of salt to enhance the flavor. -Miso soup: 2/5 stars. Simple and not in a good way. Outside of what looked like green onions, it was just soup. Could have at least thrown in some tofu. -Ponzu pork belly skewer: 2/5 stars. Thought this would be very tasty since I love pork belly. Wasn't soft and tender. Lacked flavor. -Fried rice: 3/5 stars. It was ordinary fried rice. Nothing distinctive to note about it. Didn't hate it. Didn't love it. -Shiitake mushroom skewers: 3/5 stars. Not bad. Could have used sauce of some kind to jazz it up a little bit, but liked the smoky flavor. -Tebasaki wings: 4/5 stars. Crispy and tasty. Would have been five stars if it came out piping hot. -Korean BBQ short ribs: 4/5 stars. Very tasty and tender. Nice flavor. Came out sizzling. -Takoyaki: 4/5 stars. Enjoyed eating this a lot. I liked that it was firm and not mushy. The mayo was a nice touch. The service here was solid. The server was nice and courteous. But she never checked on my table. Even though it wasn't all that busy, it took a minute to flag her down to get our bill. Judging by the reviews, there are many people who really like this place. For me, the food and service didn't warrant a rating any higher than a 3. Check it out for yourself and come to your own conclusions.

It's located in Bixby Knolls, surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, bars and breweries, yet it's the only true wine bar right there. Honestly, Long Beach has more wine bars than most surrounding areas, and since the South Bay is packed with breweries, if you're tired of beer this is your sign to switch it up. You will not regret it. The food menu has cheese boards, salads and sandwiches, and everything I've had here has been delicious. The cheese boards are better than sex. There is seating indoors and outdoors. It's minimal, but somehow we always manage to find a table. The service is consistently great and the owner is wonderful. She will be leaving soon and she will absolutely be missed, but what she has built here will definitely be cherished. The new owners fell in love with the place, so you can expect it to be well taken care of and to remain just as charming. Parking is street only, so read the signs carefully so you don't end up with a ticket. If you go on a Sunday there are no restrictions or time limits, which makes it even better.
