Locks in front of the door with the lights off and can hear the phone ringing in the background. Went next door to the liquor store and they basically confirmed that you guys open whenever you want, even with maps and yelp saying youre open. I can here on a Tuesday for the 1.25 tacos let me tell you they are bomb! The gentleman who helped me was super helpful. I had two carne asada tacos, two carnitas tacos and a side of guacamole. The tortillas are homemade, the meat? Omg! Quality meat! The asada was excellent you can tell it was not cheap meat no grizzle, the carnitas was not fatty or greasy. The guacamole was also excellent as well. They have 4 different salsa I only tried two and both were good. I heard the fried ice cream is off the chain and the menudo is excellent. FYI this place is located where the fish market was, than the wing place, I am just hoping this place will stick around. Really good food. read more

Huevos Rancheros from here really hit the spot yesterday. Everything was prepared to perfection and the green salsa was so tasty. The corn tortillas were thick, hot and homemade. I will be back to try other dishes. It's an unassuming store front in Compton, but stop in and try, the cook is good and the service is nice. This is a hidden gem in compton, seriously. I have driven and passed several times and was always skeptical about trying it out. The location was just kinda sketch, but be hold i have found thee best authentic mexican taco. The tortilla was soft, i would say handmade, the meat nice and finely chopped up, meat has very nice flavor and the salsa perfect for me not too spicy. I always drove way out to DTLA area, Downey, Bell area to get mexican food. Wont be doing that drive no more, with this spot here. read more

I don't ever complain but, there's a first time for everything. I dunno if they changed ownership or just the staff. But I've given them two chances and after today I can assure that I will not be returning ever again. I used to look forward to their mulitas, but they're trash now. Like who just puts two cheap tortillas with the meat in between with cheese? Where is my guacamole and pico de gallo. The Al Pastor is garbage, it used to be so flavorful but now it's taste-less. The Al Pastor is just pork chops chopped up, their enchiladas don't even have the tortilla fried, the cheese is packaged and is so bland. And their chicken (for the enchiladas) tasted as if it was canned and seasoned rather than boiled and flavored from scratch. I literally took a bite and then trashed my so-called "food". And their salsas are awful, they used to be a little runny full of flavor, but now they're chunky and bland. Until they either teach the staff to actually cook or even run an establishment. They don't even have their aguas frescas ready, or any condiments at all. If you've ever been here when it was great, you'd know what I mean. read more

I found this hidden gem because my coworkers and I were looking for a good Mexican restaurant near our office in Rancho Dominguez. Since I found Juanillo's three weeks ago I've been there twice more. Everything has been great. From the homemade corn tortillas for the street tacos to the best chili relleno I've had in a long time, nothing has disappointed The salsa bar looks a little iffy but the salsas they have are homemade and delicious. We visited yesterday and so happy we did! I had a shrimp burrito, that was seasoned beautifully! It was bursting with peppers, a nice fajita style flavor. There was plenty of shrimp throughout the whole thing which is really pleasant. The place is pretty small and cozy they offer a salsa bar filled with toppings, which I did get a few things but didn't even use it because my burrito wasn't missing anything. We got a side of guacamole which was nice,fresh and a good amount for $1.50. I'm looking forward to going back and trying something else the customer service was good and price on point for what you get. She and I went in and both ordered the #41, the street taco meal, with rice and beans. We made sure to try a few different meats choices they had, in our tacos. EVERYTHING was VERY good! We were surprised! My mom has lived next to this place in Compton for some time, & had never thought about going in until we smelled how good the fumes were permeating the air.
