I was really surprised. The food was very fresh and flavorful. I really enjoyed the steak fajita salad and I would absolutely go back. The salsa was a little more marinara sauce for me, but I love when they offer you beans. Service was welcoming and polite. Location was well kept and relaxed. The entrance (from the outside) could use a sign or something. But the food was authentic and fresh. I appreciate a good inexpensive meal that fills you up, and puts a smile on your face. read more

There are relatively few options on the way west from Baker Lake road to Interstate 5. This is a newer one so I tried it out. The food was ok but not as good as it should be to be on par with many other Mexican restaurants in the region. The service was earnest but inefficient and confused. The main dining room has 14 foot ceilings and no decoration do the acoustics are poor and every sound reverberates. Maybe they will work it out in time. read more

Your wasting time reading this when you could be eating some amazing food. Patron Special: tender carne asada with great flavor, way more shrimp than I get anywhere else and rice that I absolutely can't turn down. Besides the flavor which was spot on, the thing that stood out with the shrimp was the lack of huge grease puddle I normally have seeping into all my food. I got flavor and quality. El Patron Burrito: absolutely huge with all the amazing flavors you expect! Enchiladas: one chicken and one cheese with a simple red enchilada sauce. My son devoured these! We all had atleast half our food to bring home! The service was great. Our drinks were never even half empty, our food was fast and hot, we felt like the only customers in the place! 100% we will go back and bring our friends. read more

I highly recommend the Patron Special, a grilled skirt steak with shrimp and mushrooms sauteed in garlic butter. This steak was seasoned to perfection and for $21.00 it's easily two meals. The seafood enchiladas were also amazing, filled with shrimp, crab and scallops. The owners wife is the head chef and she definitely gets the chefs kiss on everything she makes. This is a must go on your list of #PNWEATS. Service was spectacular. read more

We stopped by for a quick meal following our camping trip up on Mt. Baker and on our way back to the city. I'm having a hard time not just entirely bashing this place, maybe because they're probably Mexican-owned, and I wouldn't want to hurt their bottom line, but the reality is the quality wasn't here. This place is basic and has no frills. The customer service wasn't all that there either, but you can tell it's a place for locals, so I guess it works. The ingredients themselves could be better, but for hungry travelers, they got the job done. I'm curious as to the number of other Mexican restaurants in the area; who knows, maybe this is one of the best? If you're on your way down this route, give them a try just don't expect super authentic high-quality food, although you can't go wrong with some margaritas! read more

My family went to El Patron and we had an amazing meal. Our server was excellent and attentive. One of the best Carne Asada's you will find in Washington State. Crisp and yet perfectly done with green onion. Just a perfect flavor. Good tasting beans and rice that are not an afterthought. The chicken mole was well done. Not too much chocolate and not too much spice, just well executed. The Chile Relleno was a 10 very good! The tamal was also good . The deserts not pictured were also excellent. Oh, am I glad we tried this spot. We judge Mexican food by the Chile Rellano and the chicken and any dishes like enchiladas and tacos. Then of course the salsa has to be excellent. El Patron gets it right. It's the best Chile Rellano north of San Diego. And really terrific homemade chips and salsa. Best of all the chicken in the enchilada was succulent and well seasoned. Really good guacamole and terrific tortillas. Stop by and keep this secret going! read more

If you haven't tried this spot, get there as soon as they open in the morning. Food was outstanding and the staff was kind enough to stay a little late for us as we showed up kinda late. Hey everyone! Happy Saturday and what a beautiful day it was. Of course on a beautiful 75 degree day my friend and I decided to go out for dinner, well so did the rest of Sedro-Woolley haha. We drove around and found that a few of our favorite places to eat were packed (per Covid capacity) and had people waiting. So we kept driving and found this place not so packed. Well needless to say I'm really glad we stopped here. Wonderful service, attentive, kind, food was really good. Loved the pico- yum! I had the fajita burrito, try it, delicious.
