El Patio always hits the spot. When I was in school at Coastal it was always a top lunch choice. Whenever I'm back in town, my Coastal friends and I love to take a walk down memory lane here. Of course there's free chips and salsa, it's your standard tex-mex style menu... giant with pages of specials and combinations. The prices are so cheap, which was perfect for our broke student asses. You can get lunch for less than four bucks if need be... unbeatable. read more

REALLY good Mexican food. Clean, fast inexpensive. I really rely on yelp on restaurants particularly when out of town. This was no exception! read more

This place is definitely deserved 4 stars ! Mexican food here is awesome and you have a plenty things to choose from the menu. I loved their salsa ! Waiters are nice and everything else was good. But some things are kinda old there , like building at all and menus needs to be replaced lol. I would recommend this place ! read more

I went in to eat dinner solo and I had the worst service ever. Being alone, I decided to sit at the bar but I don't drink. I guess the bar tender didn't like that I wasn't boozing it up. I asked for a menu and that took forever. Keep in mind, there were only 4 people in the entire restaurant. I didn't get chips until after I ordered. I got my food quickly but I didn't have silverware. Unfortunately, I'll never return to this establishment, but I hope they'll take this review and teach their staff about customer service. read more

Great food and very friendly staff! Huge portions! I got the California Burrito and a Chile Rellano and barely polished it off. We definitely will visit again if we are ever in the area. read more

The service was extremely poor. Waited forever to place order, the waitress was sitting at a table with the rest of the servers. I ordered a margarita that tasted watered down and the ACP and my husband ordered the taquitos. My food was barley warm and my husband's rice was cold. Neither myself or husband finished even half of our meals. We then again waited forever for our waitress to come back to give us the check. She didn't come after waiting for a long while finally got up and went to the front to be able to get the check. Extremely poor service and food. Will not be going back and would not recommend. Very disappointing read more

Have eaten there since they opened, and never had a bad meal. Creative menu and a great fish taco (wrap). They are currently remodeling, so be aware. (January 2014) One of the best around. read more

Probably the best happy hour of my college days! El Patio caters to all different crowds, and I have so many memories here. If you're looking for a "It's 5 o Clock somewhere!" type of place, El Patio is it! It's cheap, decent Mexican food, with no wait, comfortable bar setting and quiet restaurant dining area. Drinks are cheap, and the bar tenders and servers are really friendly. I was given countless deals in the bar area for the last 3 years while attending the nearby University, and I'll never look back on this place in a sour way! In the bar area they also have a pool table, which attracts a crowd, but i've always found a nice place to sit no problem! Deals: Bottomless Chips and Salsa (free) $3 Margaritas and $2 drafts! If you go there, ask for Fransisco, such a nice guy! read more

Extremely slow service. The salsa is very good. Alcoholic drinks are weak. Food was ok. I will not return nor do I recommend.

Very friendly staff, and they had horchata!!! If you'd never had it, ask for it. Service was quick, and portions were large and affordable. I had the "Little of Everything," which should be called "Lot of Everything." Very good. read more

The food was not good the mini chimichangas had not even 1/4 chicken and no cheese and mainly rice. The regular chimichangas were 2/10 for me they did not have a good flavor. Overall 1/10 do not recommend read more

Great food, really good salsa. Our waiter was quick, food came out better than I expected, and the restaurant was surprisingly large. Stopped here for a quick dinner after driving by their roadside sign and it didn't disappoint. The chicken chimichangas were recommended by our waiter and they were exactly what I needed after a long day in the sun. Great Mexican food, great atmosphere, great staff- great experience. read more

Shortly after moving to Conway our daughters came to help and we all went here for dinner. We had tacos, enchiladas, etc. We all felt everything was a little bland, the salsa was mostly tomatoes not much flavor. The service and atmosphere was good and the good quality was good just very bland. read more

Would recommend! Looking for a delicious, quiet dinner? This is the place for you. We went here because of a friends recommendation. They told us it was a bit trashy but it had good food. Turns out they were wrong about both. It wasn't trashy at all. It was quiet but nice. And the food wasn't good. It was great! They do a weird birthday celebration where they give a sombrero to the birthday person and sing a song. But they don't sing Happy Birthday. They sing another song I have never heard. The service was amazing! I would give it a 6.91/5! My son got a chicken quesadilla and really enjoyed it. I got a ribeye steak and shrimp. It was very good! By far the best Mexican in town! read more

El Patio is very nice Mexican restaurant. The food and the atmosphere is always nice. We went there on 7/16/2021 for dinner. Our food was very good. we ordered the Vegetable Fajitas, and a Shrimp Salad. The nacho chips and salsa was fresh and tastee'. We asked our waiter Andres to bring us some hot salsa for our chips. He brought that and extra napkins , more ice water. Andres was a very good waiter. Andres always came back and asked us if we needed anything. He was very professional. Hats OFF to him and all of the Employees there. We always have been served well, and have had a wonderful meal. Price is right and we love it. Thanks again Gary G. read more

This is our second visit here. We loved our first visit (ordering off the menu) and returned today especially for the Sunday brunch. It did not disappoint! Just about everything you could want is there. You'll find a variety of meats and can create your own tacos, tostadas, fajitas, or burritos with all the toppings, including all-you-can-eat yummy guacamole! There is also chicken wings, fried shrimp and more. Besides a variety of fruit, you'll find flan, cheesecake, tres leches cake, and sopopillas. All for a very reasonable price. read more

Good authentic Mexican food, waiter had difficulty speaking English . Tamales, chili rellano and carne Assad were all delicious read more

Can't even rate this place on their food! My family was seated and never had a waiter come to our table. After 5 minutes, we still didn't have water, chips or any kind of orders taken. Wish I could've rated this place on their food but when your service is lacking (or non existent) everything else doesn't matter. I would've understood if they were super busy but that was not the case. read more

The food is good at this location but the staff is not very friendly or accommodating. Most act like you are a hassle or a problem. Also they do not typically answer the phone for to go orders. read more

Came in at 4 on a Tuesday night no other tables in the restaurant and service was still on the slower side, and didn't feel very friendly. My sister got the Alambre Chicken plate which was pretty delicious. My mom's fried fish plate was a bit bland. My Carne Asada was very well done I loved it! Complementary chips and salsa were good as well. Prices were good for the portions read more

The food here is delicious and the staff is extremely kind. I love the burritos, they are massive and full of flavor. The salsa that they give you for the chips is incredible. Their food tastes extremely fresh, which makes it so good! Their guacamole is soooooo good as is the cheese dip. The "Little Bit of Everything" is my family's favorite item on the menu as you get a wide variety of food and it is all delicious. It is honestly amazing how many people pass right by this place and end up eating at other Mexican restaurants. I visit quite often and am never let down. The food is always consistently delicious. This was one of the first places I dined at after moving to MB, and I am so glad it was. I am a huge fan of the place!! read more

My friends and I went here for dinner, the staff was really friendly and we got a table right away. The restaurant seemed very clean and the staff wore masks and the host cleaned our menus before he sat us at our table. The food was really good and well priced, I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for Mexican food in the Myrtle Beach/Conway area. read more

We have been to many Mexican restaurants in the area but this one is terrific. Service is very good and the food is excellent. I enjoy the molkajete, portion is large and they accommodate me by adding grilled jalepenos. We live in the area now and this is now our new favorite Mexican restaurant. read more

Excellent food, excellent service. Staff are masked and seem to take every precaution. They have their Palmetto Priority certificate, so this is where we will be getting our Mexican fix from now on. read more

Best Mexican restaurant in Conway, we have been to all three of them. I had a cheese burrito with 3 soft tacos and my hubby had a steak with onions and mushrooms with a side of beans and rice. Sweet tea was awesome as well. Will be returning to this restaurant. Thanks read more

I'm from California, looking for GOOD Mexican food has been my mission every trip to Myrtle Beach/Conway. Starting with the positives, friendly staff, very attentive and a clean atmosphere and they accommodated my husbands special request for an item not on the menu. My husband read the reviews ahead of time so we figured it would be a safe bet. The salsa was SO mild (which my husband liked, but it was too mild for my taste), I ordered shredded beef soft tacos and was served flavorless ground beef tacos on flour tortillas with bland decried beans and bland rice. This did not strike me as authentic at all and maybe built to cater to people with more mild pallets. read more

This has been my favorite restaurant for years. The best tasting Mexican food around here. The prices are super cheap, the food is pretty good, fast service, and great customer service. I am never disappointed leaving El Patio, just full lol. I am vegan and they are super accommodating. Great restaurant!!!! read more

The food is awful and the service was worse. Restaurant was hot, and it took forever to get the check. Orders came back wrong.

The food was good, but the service was atrocious. None of our meals came out together. They literally came out in 20 minute increments. We ordered fajitas for two and waited about 10-15 minutes before they brought us tortillas in order to eat them. Needless to say, they weren't sizzling hot anymore. We've given them numerous opportunities, but they always fall short. They weren't even busy tonight. Sorry El Patio...3 strikes you're out. read more

Awesome place! Great food, California burrito was amazing and me and my girl had a great time. Churros after were great too

Service and Food was 5 star all the way around at lunch time! In and out in about 30min

My husband and I love El Patio! The food choices will not disappoint. Having a Hispanic husband that says a lot about this restaurant. We have tried many alleged Mexican restaurants since moving to the southeast and there isn't a Mexican restaurant that can hold a candle to El Patio. The Carne Asada is a good first choice if you have never been. I recommend the Flutas Mexicana. Go and Enjoy! read more

Always great food and margaritas. Nice clean restaurant, friendly staff and great food. Food is always fresh, well seasoned and a good price. One of the best Mexican restaurants in Myrtle Beach. read more

Great happy hour destination. The food is pretty good and drinks are decently priced. If your in town for the weekend they have an all you can eat lunch Sunday morning and into the afternoon. read more

This is one of the best places to eat in Conway! The service is great but the food is what shines here. I have never had a bad experience here. This is one of our families favorite place to eat and do so at least a few times a month. read more

I don't really get the 4 1/2 stars. This was your typical Mexican restaurant, except you can add another $2-$4 per meal as you are at the beach...sort of. The food was not bad, just what I typically get at every other Mexican restaurant. They were doing construction outside, so the parking was a little awkward. IF I were to point out anything that makes this place special, it would be the service. I am assuming they are family owned, but very friendly, engaging, and accommodating. I would eat here again. read more

Nice service and food the seafood plates are the best, the only thing I did not like it was the cake for dessert, prices are reasonable

Great place to grab Mexican food! The chicken quesadillas with pulled chicken is my absolute favorite. Definitely better than any quesadilla I've ever had (and I've been to Mexico!). Has a great happy hour which cheap margaritas and another food menu. Service is a little slow but it had a good atmosphere in the bar area and the free chips and salsa is not only delicious, but balances the service out. The buffet on Sundays is a decent deal. It's about $10. They don't gave the quesadillas and it's a buffet so you can't expect too much - selection is basic but good if you just like to eat a lot! read more

While it's a lot like many of the other Mexican in the area, the huge menu and free chips and salsa warrant a "Yay! I'm a fan." all on their own. I can't say that it's my favorite place ever, but I do get excited to go. read more

Food was good , chips and salsa just ok ( no refills?? ) ordered a tall Bud-light , told they were out and settled on a tall draft Corona Light , was shocked when the bill came and a 24 oz draft beer was $7.50 , I ask waiter about happy hour as it was 5PM - he said that Corona not included ? I said it's right here imported beer , he said doesn't include Your Beer . They lost a very good customer tonight ! read more
