Extremely slow service. The salsa is very good. Alcoholic drinks are weak. Food was ok. I will not return nor do I recommend.

El Patio always hits the spot. When I was in school at Coastal it was always a top lunch choice. Whenever I'm back in town, my Coastal friends and I love to take a walk down memory lane here. Of course there's free chips and salsa, it's your standard tex-mex style menu... giant with pages of specials and combinations. The prices are so cheap, which was perfect for our broke student asses. Great food, really good salsa. Our waiter was quick, food came out better than I expected, and the restaurant was surprisingly large. Stopped here for a quick dinner after driving by their roadside sign and it didn't disappoint. The chicken chimichangas were recommended by our waiter and they were exactly what I needed after a long day in the sun. Shortly after moving to Conway our daughters came to help and we all went here for dinner. We had tacos, enchiladas,etc. We all felt everything was a little bland, the salsa was mostly tomatoes not much flavor. Would recommend! Looking for a delicious, quiet dinner? This is the place for you. We went here because of a friends recommendation. They told us it was a bit trashy but it had good food. Turns out they were wrong about both. It wasn't trashy at all. It was quiet but nice. And the food wasn't good. It was great! They do a weird birthday celebration where they give a sombrero to the birthday person and sing a song. But they don't sing Happy Birthday. They sing another song I have never heard. The service was amazing! I would give it a 6.91/5! My son got a chicken quesadilla and really enjoyed it. I got a ribeye steak and shrimp. It was very good! El Patio is very nice Mexican restaurant. The food and the atmosphere is always nice. We went there on 7/16/2021 for dinner. Our food was very good. we ordered the Vegetable Fajitas, and a Shrimp Salad. The nacho chips and salsa was fresh and tastee'. We asked our waiter Andres to bring us some hot salsa for our chips. He brought that and extra napkins , more ice water. Andres was a very good waiter. Andres always came back and asked us if we needed anything. He was very professional. Probably the best happy hour of my college days! El Patio caters to all different crowds, and I have so many memories here. If you're looking for a "It's 5 o Clock somewhere!" type of place, El Patio is it! It's cheap, decent Mexican food, with no wait, comfortable bar setting and quiet restaurant dining area. Drinks are cheap, and the bar tenders and servers are really friendly. I was given countless deals in the bar area for the last 3 years while attending the nearby University, and I'll never look back on this place in a sour way! In the bar area they also have a pool table, which attracts a crowd, but i've always found a nice place to sit no problem! Deals: Bottomless Chips and Salsa (free) $3 Margaritas and $2 drafts! This is our second visit here. We loved our first visit (ordering off the menu) and returned today especially for the Sunday brunch. It did not disappoint! Just about everything you could want is there. You'll find a variety of meats and can create your own tacos, tostadas, fajitas, or burritos with all the toppings, including all-you-can-eat yummy guacamole! Can't even rate this place on their food! My family was seated and never had a waiter come to our table. After 5 minutes, we still didn't have water, chips or any kind of orders taken. Wish I could've rated this place on their food but when your service is lacking (or non existent) everything else doesn't matter. Came in at 4 on a Tuesday night no other tables in the restaurant and service was still on the slower side, and didn't feel very friendly. My sister got the Alambre Chicken plate which was pretty delicious. My mom's fried fish plate was a bit bland. My Carne Asada was very well done I loved it! The food here is delicious and the staff is extremely kind. I love the burritos, they are massive and full of flavor. The salsa that they give you for the chips is incredible. Their food tastes extremely fresh, which makes it so good! Their guacamole is soooooo good as is the cheese dip. The "Little Bit of Everything" is my family's favorite item on the menu as you get a wide variety of food and it is all delicious. It is honestly amazing how many people pass right by this place and end up eating at other Mexican restaurants. I visit quite often and am never let down. The food is always consistently delicious. My friends and I went here for dinner, the staff was really friendly and we got a table right away. The restaurant seemed very clean and the staff wore masks and the host cleaned our menus before he sat us at our table. I'm from California, looking for GOOD Mexican food has been my mission every trip to Myrtle Beach/Conway. Starting with the positives, friendly staff, very attentive and a clean atmosphere and they accommodated my husbands special request for an item not on the menu. My husband read the reviews ahead of time so we figured it would be a safe bet. The salsa was SO mild (which my husband liked, but it was too mild for my taste), I ordered shredded beef soft tacos and was served flavorless ground beef tacos on flour tortillas with bland decried beans and bland rice. This did not strike me as authentic at all and maybe built to cater to people with more mild pallets. read more

The food was good, but the service was atrocious. None of our meals came out together. They literally came out in 20 minute increments. We ordered fajitas for two and waited about 10-15 minutes before they brought us tortillas in order to eat them. Needless to say, they weren't sizzling hot anymore. I am pleased to say that since reopening during the threat of COVID-19 I have been to El Patio twice, and each host and server has been masked. The server we had was very attentive. He stopped by to make sure everything was ok and was there whenever you needed a refill. The food was average, but they had a fairly decent amount of items to choose from. I probably would have just given it 3 stars but the service was good. I don't really get the 4 1/2 stars. This was your typical Mexican restaurant, except you can add another $2-$4 per meal as you are at the beach...sort of. The food was not bad, just what I typically get at every other Mexican restaurant. They were doing construction outside, so the parking was a little awkward. Great place to grab Mexican food! The chicken quesadillas with pulled chicken is my absolute favorite. Definitely better than any quesadilla I've ever had (and I've been to Mexico!). Has a great happy hour which cheap margaritas and another food menu. Service is a little slow but it had a good atmosphere in the bar area and the free chips and salsa is not only delicious, but balances the service out. The buffet on Sundays is a decent deal. It's about $10. They don't gave the quesadillas and it's a buffet so you can't expect too much - selection is basic but good if you just like to eat a lot! read more
