This is my family second year, returning to this restaurant. Super genuine and authentic, Mexican food everything we've tried has been good and they have a wide variety on the menu of things that other places wouldn't have my dad keeps getting the whole fish. I keep getting the soup. I love soup. They're super nice. Everything comes out fast. There's a nice size bar and everything is always super clean. read more

Ordered the caldo de pollo and it was okay. My parents got the fajitas for 2 and they said the fajitas weren't the best but fine. Seems like okay was the word for this place. read more

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant - Mexican Near Me - Conway, South Carolina

Food has significantly gone downhill along with the service. It took us an hour to get 3 tacos and a soggy chimichanga dinner. They were not busy, and the food was not good. We were never asked if we wanted refills on drinks, and we had to flag someone down to finally bring us a check. We used to be regulars...used to be. read more

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant - Soggy chimichanga dinner - Mexican Near Me - Conway, South Carolina

We loved their food and friendly service. We will be going again soon. Thank you for being an authentic place to eat.

Plain and simple, this place was great! The service was top notch. They had our favorite Mexican dishes. The food was authentic, freshly prepared and had a great taste. Who could ask for more. Try it, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Great find. Not just a new startup. They have been in Conway for around 12yrs. To top it off, it was reasonablly priced. read more

Great margaritas, great carnitas tacos, and absolutely lovely staff! We will definitely make the trip back!

Ordered shrimp and rice. Rice was cold. Shrimp had a strange flavor. Almost like a raw egg had been added. Had to wait longer than expected for our meals with less than half of the restaurant occupied. read more

AVOID this place at all cost !! Would NOT recommend! Owners will over charge your food , and when you ask for a receipt they refuse to give one out ! Ordered 2 Carne Asada and 1 drink and total came out to 84$!!! How is that even possible?? We asked for a receipt and they refused. Multiple people have had this issue . The food is cold and taste spoiled. You can hear the owner fighting in front of customers. They also change there prices as shown on their menu book ! Avoid at all cost ! read more

Great food, great service, clean environment! Ordered enchiladas and the Pollo Loco. Great price and the food was wonderful--and a lot of it. Will definitely be going back. read more

Top shelf service, excellent salsa and pretty good margaritas (kinda a tequila snob) The food is always hot and fresh.

The food was great. The service was wonderful. You can tell a lot of pride is taken in their work.

Incredible food. I have been eating and cooking for over 50 years. Great food and sauces. Also great service.

AMAZING every single time. Authentic and fresh every order. Amazing service as well. The portion sizes are well worth it.

We had many people tell us to visit this restaurant to eat and we were not disappointed. As we walked in we were greeted and placed to a seat. As we were looking at the menu our server was very helpful with all the questions we had. The food came out after than we expected and was pleasantly surprised by how it tasted. The recommendation our server gave was a great selection. We will definitely go back to this restaurant. read more

Great food and great service. Been going here for a long time and look forward to our next visit.

A friend & I made a last minute lunch plan & decided to stop here. Reasonably priced food/drinks & the staff are so so sweet. The food was absolutely delicious too! I love the small feel with a big welcome. We will def be back! read more

This restaurant is our go to for delicious Mexican food. The molcajete is one of our favorites, but I really can't say there's anything on the menu that isn't delicious. The service is quick and always friendly. read more

What terrible service, we told the waiter in front of the manager we waited 30. Mints for drinks, everyone was seated and served after us. We waited on our. Check for a while too. The waiter argues that was very busy and we said service was terrible. Not professional to argue or offer a discount. We will never return here or recommend it to anyone.. Food was just ok. read more

I have going here multiple times to eat. However the last time that I went was in the middle of the day. They were not busy at all. The waiter did not bring me a menu. So I asked him to get me a menu. Then I asked for another cup of mild salsa. He left and came back but passed my table and waited on the people behind me. I had to ask again for My salsa. He never came back to the table! I had to get up and go ask for a refill on my drink. After I finished my meal I waited and waited for my bill so I can pay. I finally got up and asked if I could please have my bill. My waiter was at the front behind the counter watching a ballgame on the televisions by the bar. I have not been back since! The food is decent. But the wait staff is not the best. I guess it kind of depends on which day you go and what time of the day you go. Good luck! read more

Large & delicious food portions. Margaritas are fantastic! Definitely recommend! We had a very short wait but would have been worth a long one. read more

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant - Mexican Near Me - Conway, South Carolina

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Conway/Carolina Forest. We are from Texas so getting a good (real) Mexican meal has been hard to do. The chips and salsa are brought out with hot or mild choices and the chips were hot and fresh, even at 930pm. We shared an order of beef fajitas which came out sizzling and right when we had finished our chips. One additional thing I loved was they did not over use the cilantro. Not much in salsa and that alone will have me returning to try a new dish next time! The location is right on Church street in town and easy to get on and off 501. Give them a try!! read more

Update: I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! The food is good but the service is horrid!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! My boyfriend and I love this place. The food is cheap and very delicious. Unfortunately, the last time we have gone we have gotten the older gentleman as a waiter-AWFUL service. He never brought my drink, even when asked politely about it. Forgot our cheese dip- never got it. Brought our food out half at time, so my boyfriend had to wait for my food to be delivered and his was ice cold. Love the food and will be back- but will steer clear of that waiter! read more

Traveling through and stopped in. The staff here is VERY friendly. I asked for something not on the menu and they said of course and made a mixed seafood ceviche which was good. The price for the top shelf and beer was extremely reasonable. When I come through this area again I will stop for sure!! read more

The food was ok and service was good, only thing scary was the 2 dead roaches on the floor

Food was good and service was great. Chips and hot salsa were fresh and delicious. Rice was really good, beans were meh and the chicken burrito was good. All around yummy Mexican food Would definitely return. read more

Well it's better then Taco Bell... The chips and 2 different kinds of salsa mild & hot. The hot was good had the right amount of heat and wasn't soupy like the mild which my husband didn't like which I did not blame him. And the queso cheese that we asked for was so soupy it was unreal it didn't start getting thick til over a half hour later. The beef quesadillas that my husband had it looked really good it tasted OK but he's had better he said we won't be back. I had the Carnitas and it was too salty and it didn't have a crust on it so it was like eating pull pork just no texture just mush... So no we will not be back unless we are really desperate for some form of Mexican food... And the gentleman that was serving us wasn't the greatest and I hate leaving less then what I normally leave but he left me no choice... read more

We found a hair in the chicken and I'm bald and the server Argued it's not her hair and could have flown in the food from the air. She was unapologetic about the hair in the food and rolled her eyes and walked away. The whole staff is rude and would not accept that their food had hair. Don't go here read more

I went there for dinner on Wednesday, April 22nd. It was just me and my two-year-old... I wanted something cheap but was sick of fast-food and the normal "kiddie" places. Once we were seated we got chips and salsa (free, of course). The chips were delicious (crispy and flavorful - not stale like at some other places) and I like that they brought mild and hot salsa to the table. I saw that the special was green enchiladas for $7.99. I tried them and LOVED them. The chicken inside was seasoned to perfection and I loved the sauce. My toddler ate most of my rice (which I tried and it was also tasty) and chomped on chips so she was satisfied. My only complaint would be that the service was not fast enough. The place was slammed and it looked like there were two guys running the whole place - waiting tables, seating people and tending bar. Sadly, I didn't try a margarita but I will next time! The food was great! read more

My wife and I eat here all the time because we LOVE the food and the people! Yesterday I had the Guadalajara Special (lunch size): Chicken and onions in a burrito with green salsa, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese sauce: absolutely delicious. And it filled me up (I'm a big guy, so that is saying something)! I also am very fond of the Chile Verde, and the Speedy Gonzalez lunch special. Whenever we have friends visiting us, we always take them here. read more
