My lady and I happened to find this spot while walking around downtown Augusta. I thought it looked too good to pass up. If you know anything about me, you know I can't pass up good Mexican food, and this was that and then some. We popped in for lunch and were seated right away. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We loved all the artwork and the laid back feel of the place. The menu was loaded with lots of tasty options at great prices. My fiancée picked this spot for lunch. The outside looked cool and who can pass up a Mexican restaurant?! The inside is pretty cool! It's super bright, colorful, spacious and loved the decor! They were not busy so we were seated right away. I was blown away with their food and drink menu. Very reasonable in pricing. Good selection and has something for everyone. Including vegetarians. Fun location, great staff, and good food. The chips and salsa was interesting because besides the typical tomato based salsa, there was also a bean dip that was very good. I immediately ordered the mole chicken enchiladas because it's very rare. You find a restaurant who serves a good mole dish. I would've probably given five stars, but I've found the mole to be a little thin for my liking. They need to thicken it up a little bit. Almost a year later and still going strong! I can't express enough how happy it makes me that they keep the bay door (facing Broad Street) open almost all of the time. That indoor/outdoor space is perfect and makes the place feel even bigger (though it is plenty big enough). Always a fan of the cheese dip with beef added and lately my go-to has been the tacos. Usually my appetite demands a burrito (and beans and rice and...), but their tacos has me hooked. The team here are always top notch and the orders come out at breakneck speed. Fourth time here and the food is always great. Usually I get carne asada tacos but the last two times I've gotten the birria tacos which is an off menu item that you have to ask for. Highly recommend. The wait staff is always great and attentive. I've never encountered a wait to be seated but I have passed by one time and there was a line out the door. I have been here on a number of occasions and no matter how busy they are, the wait is never longer than 15 minutes. The restaurant is decorated very nicely with drawings all over the wall. When sitting, you get not only salsa but a black bean dip and it is delicious! I have tried a number of things on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The food comes out quick and it is always piping hot. My favorite to order is the combination plates that comes with a chalupa, cheese taco, beef taco, and beef enchiladas beater you get the must bang fit your buck. They're at the top of my list for Mexican in the area. Be aware that the prices are much higher than the others, but it's worth it! read more

Dirty and not well maintained restaurant serving up loud canned music, canned salsa and bland lukewarm food. Our visit was punctuated with slow inept service. I had a bad feeling when we approached the restaurant and the decorative brick flowerbed out front was devoid of plants but full of people deterrant spikes and rat poison bait boxes. Sad just sad. There were 6 waitresses standing around chatting and texting in front of us at the station at the front of the restaurant. Several were in the women's restroom doing their hair as well. We didn't see any other customers in the place which should have been a red flag. Charro beans were good. If you have to eat here just get a bowl of those and ask for them to be heated up. Hard to find a place with some street tacos and this place was it! $16.99 for 3 street tacos is more on the steep end, but you get 3 tacos in corn tortilla with a protein choice of chicken or steak with a side of rice and sauce. My friends and I definitely enjoyed the meal and they have a bar area to dine in as well. The restaurant is very spacious with multiple dining areas and even an area that caters to large parties along with a patio section. Staff were friendly and the waitress we had was very attentive and made sure our dining experience was pleasant. Definitely will be back here again for some street tacos. It was a Wednesday evening and it wasn't terribly crowded. We asked the hostess for a low regular table. It took us three tries before we found a table that wasn't wobbly. Once seated our very nice server Sienna was there to take our drink order. She told us draft beer was on special and recommended a Mexican lager when mom's requested Mondela was not available. This is my second time here. Both times, the food has been good. I will say, the service is a little slow. But nothing that can't improved upon. I'm happy to see that this place is still open in Downtown Augusta. My only complaint (if that's what you call it), would be to have Agua Fresca in store. The menu says that you have some. Downtown Augusta has new eatery on the block. Walking in,I was greeted by smiling faces. The place is very colorful with a small area outside for seating. I was pleased to see a vegetarian section on the menu, from which I chose the spinach and mushroom quesadillas. I also had the table side guacamole . My drink was frozen mango and watermelon margarita and they serve chips with black bean and regular salsa. This was our first visit, and we were impressed with the service and the food. From the time that we arrived we felt welcomed, and everyone was very attentive to our needs. We had this blue lemon drop martinis that were very good. You can tell that the salsa was made very well and with very fresh ingredients. The food was warm and tasty. The restaurant was well decorated, there was alot of attention to the details with the table and chairs, as well as all of the beautiful murals on the wall of mexican folklore and 'el dia de los muertos'. A group of 20 ladies decided to have a birthday celebration at this restaurant. We were told no reservations were made. So we just showed up. They provided us with outdoor seating. Since it was really hot and humid we requested them to seat us inside. Initially, they said no tables were available but they were nice enough to adjust us after another large party left. The bartenders are always so great and helpful and always open to providing any suggestions. I came here last night with some friends. The restaurant was decently busy but I wouldn't say it was packed. My party and I ordered drinks as soon as our waitress came, 3 margaritas and 1 coke. It took 20 minutes for the margarita to arrive and the coke came about 40 minutes later. Shortly after finally seeing our waitress again we ordered a large cheese dip and put in our order for food. Somehow our food came in two minutes and we never even received our cheese dip. The bathroom was also incredibly dirty. The food was pretty standard to other Mexican restaurants in town.
