I don't understand how this place has a 4 star average. The theme is nice, the interior is rustic, but the food is simply NOT good. Those Mexican restaurants attached to gas stations far exceed the quality and taste of food served at El Parque. The food I was served was partially cold (the rice must have been reheated from a previous day) and the meat was really fatty. I wish I had just gone across the street or even down to the center of Fallbrook to get lunch. read more

Takeout. We got a fish burrito, chicken and carne asada mini tacos. The tacos themselves weren't terrible, just a bit worse than what you'd get at a Robertito's. Two of our tacos had nothing on them aside from the meat, I'm not sure if this was an oversight or by design. The burrito was awful. The fish was soggy, and the cabbage mix was brutally over spiced with pepper. The horchata was even disappointing. I doubt there is worse Mexican food in Fallbrook. I've tried most of them. I would give two stars for the tacos, but the fish burrito was inexcusably bad. read more

Young lady who took our order took forever and didn't seem to understand the system they used. The next lady serving our meal had to be reminded twice to bring our drinks and then I finally walked to the register and cut in line and asked for our drinks. Our meal did not come as we ordered it, and the server said, "It may take awhile to make it again, we're pretty busy." So I declined. No chips with your meal...actually if you want chips you'll be paying around $5.00. There has to be better places than this. As much as food costs these days, service is very important. read more

Just moved to town less then a week ago and have eaten here and grabbed take out at least 5 times while unpacking etc. Love the homemade chips and salsa, great carne asada tacos and my son loves their rice and beans. They also have amazing breakfast burritos that are huge and delicious. I'm sure this will be a once a week place for us, as its close to our house, reasonable prices and tasty Mexican food....hasn't disappointed once! read more

I guess I should stick to my Saturday menudo's here. I just ordered carne asada burrito and the two chile relleno combo to find out they gave me two tamales instead! These are absolutely thee WORST tamales I've ever had in my entire life!!! Gross!! Masa was so dry and crumbly! I'm pretty sure they were heated up in the microwave! OMG! A tiny jewel off the beaten path; totally worth the side trip. I told the cashier/server what she recommended and she suggested the burritos. I got the chile relleno burrito and my dining companion ordered pork tamales. I was tempted to get a horchata beverage, but was afraid of sugar overload. (I get tummy troubles from too much sugar :-( Our food arrived with homemade chile and verde salsas. My burrito was wrapped in a fresh, homemade tortilla, which was warm, soft and chewy. Yum! It was filled with rice, shredded lettuce, tomato and a perfectly fried chile relleno. The chile was roasted and tender; not the usual tough poblano that I have to fight. I accompanied it with the rojo salsa. I was having a foodgasm while munching on my burrito. My dining partner really enjoyed his tamales. The masa was perfect and the pork tender and flavorful. His plate included home crafted rice and beans. We both agree the rice was delicious; not too tomato-y or oily. If I venture this way again, I would definitely hit them up for some tacos! read more

This place is great, they have grown and improved since I first went there 6 years ago while I was visiting Fallbrook. Having just moved to Fallbrook recently, I wanted to find a good restaurant near my house and I am happy El Parque is close by. Today I called and asked if they could make a custom order and they happily obliged. The workers inside were very kind and they hooked me up with plenty of salsa and limes. So...looks like supporting this establishment during C-19 is not appreciated. We actually came more often than usual the last few months for a couple reasons. Decent food, and support during these tuff times. But today, when I came for another to go order for the family, I was told "taco Tuesday " price is only for dine in. Great little spot, tucked across from the live oak park. The food was very good, the service was also very good . The inside is not fancy, just a nice rustic feel. We tried several items on menu and everything was delicious. The food was pretty authentic. We will be back. If you haven't been here you should give it a try. read more

Went to El Parque today. The setting is beautiful. But the service is not great. I ordered a chicken sandwich that the lady told me that it was gonna be teriyaki. I also ordered mayonnaise on the side.When the girl brought me my sandwich it was barbecue sauce. And also there was no mayonnaise. I asked her for the mayonnaise and she said we charge for that. I said well she put it on my bill. And she said I looked and she didn't charge you for it. Do you still want it? Well I didn't want to put $.50 on my debit card. So I saidNo. But I really didn't wanna eat my chicken sandwich without mayonnaise on it so I got up and went in and paid for it. I just can't believe they charge for condiments like that when it should go on a burger. My friend said that they charge for two dollars for sugar for Her coffee and she will never go back. Not thinking I wanna go back either if they are going to be so petty as to charge me for something that they forgot to give me in the first place. I won't go back read more

El Parque is across the road from the entrance to Live Oak Park in Fallbrook and the location is great. You can eat your food outside under huge oak trees. The beers are ice cold and fairly cheap ($3), and the rolled tacos are great. It's cash only and a little weird walking up; it looks like a house, not a restaurant. This was and out of the blue on the way home type of stop. After a hike in San Diego we were starving. We drove up a dirt road and I must admit.. it looked kinda lonely but clean. Dropped by here twice with my wife on our house hunt in the fall took area. That's twice in a week! This place has incredibly delicious Mexican food. Firstly, the portions are huge. The carne asada plate is stacked high with delicious meat, rice & beans, and tons of guacamole. Secondly, the flavors are authentic, and fresh. The chicken tacos came with shredded lettuce, cheese, and a mild tomatillo sauce that was really good. Lastly, the price. My wife and I ate probably too much food for the price that it would take only one of us to eat to entirely way too much food. This is a good thing, trust me. We shall be returning. read more

This place is awesome! The decor is really cool, food is bomb and they give you huge servings. I stopped here with friends on the way home from camping and didn't end up ordering anything because I was low on funds and while we were all sitting down they just brought me a bean &cheese burrito. Every time I am anyplace near El parque I eat there. It was an old stage stop in the 1800s and it feels authentic to me. The chef has been there for like 20 years. Try the mixed chips they are super yummy. read more

They changed it since i was there last summer, but its still good. i think maybe a little bit better! the carne asada is delicious here. parents living close by, i frequent there almost every day the last week i was in town for winter break going back to NorCal that has no good mexian food. I have yet to try the non mexican food but i'm sure its good too. oh and the horchata is delicious. read more

A cute town bar/Mexican restaurant. Parking is a bit challenging but the food was decent. I got a to go order which was seamless and nothing was wrong. I would say though it wasn't the best breakfast burrito I've ever had but also not the worst. read more
