I've also gotten my kids a couple of the kid menu items, and they love the bean burrito. I have to say...it's really good. The restaurant isn't very spacious inside but big enough for our big family. We ordered and then sat down and they brought our food to us. The workers were kind and helpful. My kids loved the cheese quesadillas and beans. The enchiladas were pretty good but again, needed a little more flavor. My favorite was the homemade corn tortillas. Overall pretty good. I will come again and try other things from the menu.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Alejandra in particular was amazing -- she made us feel right at home and took great care of us. The restaurant itself is spotless. You'd swear it was brand new. The booths are comfortable, the custom chairs are a nice touch, and it's clear the owners take real pride in the place. Everything feels fresh, clean, and thoughtfully put together. The salsa and chips were on point -- perfectly seasoned and addictive. I tried pozole for the first time, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The broth was rich and flavorful, the pork was tender, and the hominy was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered her go-to Enchiladas Suizas and said they were very good -- she was impressed. I went with the Chile Verde Burrito and a beef taco. Both were tasty, well-seasoned, and satisfying. I left feeling full and happy. This is a proper, quality Mexican restaurant with great staff and amazing food. Places like this set the bar high -- other restaurants should definitely take notes! We'll be back soon.

I ordered rice & beans with my burrito, which never came (the waitress asked if everything looked right and I didn't notice, when she came back after we'd already finished our burritos she kindly removed the rice & beans from the check.) Again, I don't really want to knock the service or the general clean environment. But dude, this was some flavorless food. I ordered a carne asada burrito and unfortunately asked for it not to be smothered. It was a tortilla, not wrapped, just rolled and filled with the meat and that's it. So basically I ordered a non-smothered carne asada burrito not knowing it was basically a barebones carne asada enchilada without the sauce. My wife's bean burrito was a similar situation; the rice and beans she had on the side weren't flavorful, and the rice was kinda crunchy/underdone. The salsa was fine, even if the amount of (somewhat stale) complimentary chips was small. It wasn't super busy, it was clean, and everyone in there was nice. It wasn't very expensive either. Too bad about the food, though.

The interior is really cool too. Dimmed lighting, dark brown wooden floors that give it a sophisticated air, ropes and wood crates and a custom-designed counter that definitely takes you oceanside. We were some of the first customers to arrive on a Saturday and our food took a while to make (30-45 minutes). Excellent guacamole and salsas. Amazing sauce on the enchiladas. The inside of the restaurant is designed really cool. It has cool brick, lanterns, painted areas. Awesome Mexican vibe, nice plates etc. It's a higher end feel. Good place for a date night but still has families in there. Our server was great, other people kept checking with us and they were very nice and pleasant. The manger (owner?) came by and I talked to her for a few minutes and told her how good our food was. She was telling me about how every single thing is made from scratch. It really was good. I was pretty surprised that this place has been just sitting there on Main Street in Payson.
