That said, the restaurant itself is cozy and comfortable, with three large-screen TVs showing everything from soap operas to soccer matches, creating a relaxed atmosphere. This is some of the best Colombian food South Florida has to offer at a price that absolutely…read morepositively can't be beat. Some Colombian restaurants rent in places where the lease is absorbed by the paying customer in the charge of food- this is simply not the case here This restaurant is a staple of the area and don't be surprised to walk in and hear patrons greet the staff as if they were regulars because they most certainly are familiar faces I ordered a bone broth to start with grilled steak and rice entrée and finished with a cup of coffee that was brewed to perfection This is the kind of place you go for quality food in a cozy environment Parking is somewhat limited out front, which adds to the exclusivity of it unless you're in a walking distance While I was there, I also noticed a multitude of Mobile dining orders, which lets you know plenty of people want with this place has to offer and after having eaten here today, I can completely see why: great food great staff amazing price points

I called in an order for 40 empanadas Colombianas from this location on 6.27 for a family…read moregathering. The girl that answered was super friendly and told me they could have them ready for the time I ordered, which was great!! I got to the location for my pick up and the whole parking situation was a mess. I had to park a bit far, which was more of an inconvenience than an actual problem. Once in there, I went to the counter where there were 3 ladies working. I'm literally in front of them and about 4 minutes went by before any of them even acknowledged my presence. I'm the one that finally spoke up and said "buenas tardes" and they acted as if I had just miraculously appeared in front of them. I find this absolutely shocking, as most Colombian restaurants are so welcoming and polite. I ask for my order and they tell me to wait a moment. About another 5 minutes go by and they bring out my order horribly covered with some aluminum foil. In the car I grabbed an empanada to have a taste and it is all burned inside and out. When I got to my gathering I removed the aluminum foil and about 10 empanadas were in the same badly burned condition. These empanadas cost a little over $2 a piece! I paid $90+!! I understand Saturday was the Colombia game and they must have been swamped, but if you can't provide quality product, don't overwhelm yourself by taking on more than your kitchen can handle. The oil must not have been the right temperature cause the empanadas were extremely greasy. Luckily we were able to place them on some paper towels to soak up the grease and most of them were consumed. Everyone said that the taste was decent, but they were definitely over fried. I have no idea what their food and service is if you dine in, however I highly recommend not ordering out. There's much better Colombian places.

From our first visit to Nica Premium, there were a couple of things that stood out right away…read more First, parking can be a bit difficult, but once you walk through the doors, the experience changes completely. The restaurant has the feel of an upscale restaurant you might find in Coral Gables, with beautiful decor and an inviting atmosphere. We were warmly greeted and taken care of by our server, Cynthia, who provided excellent service throughout our meal. When we looked over the menu, we immediately noticed that the prices were comparable to those of an upscale restaurant, so we were excited to see if the food would live up to the experience. We ordered the Ceviche del Pacífico, quesillo, and Carne en Salsa Jalapeño. The quesillo was delicious. It was presented on a plate rather than in the traditional bag, but the flavor was what really stood out. My wife is from Nicaragua, and she said it reminded her of the quesillos she grew up eating back home. She loved it so much that we ordered a second one with extra cheese! The Ceviche del Pacífico came with three different ceviches served in separate bowls. I don't know the names of each variety, but they came in yellow, white, and orange. The yellow and orange were absolutely excellent. We even asked if, on a future visit, we could order just those two varieties because we enjoyed them so much. I had the Carne en Salsa Jalapeño. The sauce wasn't quite as thick as I'm accustomed to, but the preparation was excellent. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked medium, exactly how I like it. The onions and jalapeños in the sauce were also exquisitely prepared. I always considered Madroño in Sweetwater to be one of the most upscale Central American restaurants in Miami, but Nica Premium is definitely going to give them a run for their money. What impressed me most was the attention to detail and the passion that seems to come from the owners and staff. You can genuinely feel the love they have for this restaurant, not only in the decor but also in the dishes they're preparing. I truly hope they continue to grow and expand because there is something special happening here. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!
