This place seems to have very good food judging for the amount of people that were there compared to the other restaurants in the court, even with similar kind of food. We talk to the prrson taking the orders and she was very friendly. I really didn't have the opportunity to eat there because it was packed and the waiting line was too long. read more

This place is very hole in the wall. I found it at the Mall of the Americas, and the quantity to price ratio is incredible! While I've had tons of baleadas, these are the best I've had, because they sprinkle some crumbled cheese on top of the nata before folding the baleada, and also because the tortillas they make are fire They're not too heavy and very fluffy. Instead of curtido, it comes with onions that have been marinated with spices and some jalapeño, which adds a nice kick. The only reason I'm giving four stars is because the beans were a little dry. Baby's first baleada was the bomb. I go to the DMV inside of the mall of the Americas for work all the time and this place is located just outside the food court. I had always thought it was some sort of cafe and went way too long without actually checking it out. You order at the front but they have tables and will bring the food to you. I think I even saw the server come to the tables to take an order too. They have fresh juices and standing in the front, you can get a peek of the women in the back cooking. That's how I knew before i even took a bite that it would be amazing. I really had no idea what to order or what I was doing so I went with a chicken baleada and cheese pupusa and was not disappointed. The baleada is a huge fluffy tortilla, folded over and filled with cheese and meat and beans. It was sooo good. Next time I think I'll just get it vegetarian with beans and cheese cause it really didn't need the meat. I had this meal right before quarantine shut everything down and have thought about it many times since. Can't wait to go back. read more

Delicious! One of the better restaurants within Mall of the Americas (I know, it's still open) pretty busy restaurant. I just went because I was craving some pupusas which I got 1 mixta and 2 revueltas. The wait wasn't too long but while I was there, you had people at every booth and people constantly placing to go orders or picking up. 3 pupusas for $7.99? Yes please. Super tasty and they give you some repollo salad on the side plus some spicy marinated onions to top off each bite. I saw they offer some breakfast platters, might have to make my way there one day to step out of the ordinary lol. This place is close to the Food Court inside the desolated Mall of America. There's rarely a reason to stop but this place. So on a recent trip to Costco it was a must! The girl who takes your order is super nice and the food is freshly made. To me, these are the best Baleadas in all of Miami, and reason enough to keep on coming. They're right beside the AMC theater in Mall of the Americas. The baleadas are not as great as the ones you can get at their proper restaurant but they do fine. I normally go for a number 7 which is one baleada, one pupusa and a canned drink. For the baleada you can have your choice of simple, with carne asada (my favorite), or with scrambled eggs. The pupusas can be ordered mixtas (cheese and pork) or revueltas (cheese, pork, and refried beans.) The also sell tamales de elote con crema which are sweet corn cakes wrapped in leaves and topped with cream. I normally love these things but I felt like they were too dry here. The flavor wasn't all there either, for my taste. On the other hand, my wife hadn't tried one before and loved it. I'll give it another try next time I'm there. read more

Very delicious Honduran restaurant in Mall of the Americas right by the movie theater. First visit was on Mother's Day, my husband and I invited my mother in law for brunch. My hubby is Honduran so we always keep an eye out for any new Central American restaurants. The food is great and very authentic. I ordered un balaeada sencilla and una pupusa de queso, which is a tortilla with refried beans, fresh cheese, and cream; a pupusa is a corn tortilla with melted fresh cheese. Fire. I forgot the name of my hubby's dish, but it was thick green deep fried plantain strips (tejadas) with a spicy Honduran cole slaw and a piece of carne asada on top. Fire. And my mother in law orded un desayuno tipico which is just scrambled eggs, crema, cheese, refried beans, and tortillas. Fire. Now as for the service, it is VERY slow and the ladies behind the counter don't smile much or like too many questions. Avoid asking for substitutions in your plate or any extra sauces. A hidden gem! Authentic Honduran food. in between appointments I explored the Mall of America and thought I would hit the food court for lunch. They have the standard and safe choices but I saw a restaurant with photos and mostly in Spanish. Sign me up!!! Ordered from two lovely cashiers. I ordered a #2. Tacos. The restaurant space was packed. I ordered my food to go. Approx a 15-20 min wait. If I was in a hurry I would have been upset but I was fully invested after seeing everything come through the window. Once I got my order I was surprised. What was this? Rolled? Fried? On a bed of lettuce, onions, veggies cheese. I tried the chicken one first. Crunchy fresh shell filled with chicken and cheese. I was hooked! Opened the little cup which appeared to be a dipping red sauce. I dipped away and finished my first papusa in the parking lot. Later at my hotel I ate the beef papusa (taco). This time dipping biting and eating the salad is below. Soooo good! Fresh mixed with fried. In love. Then a bite of some spice...the cooked onions were seasoned with a punch. I cut up the cucumber and tomato and ate with the spicy onions. This place should be a full restaurant. This amazing meal was also under $9!!! I preferred the chicken over the beef.
