    Very dry flan!

Horrible Service and there was no heat and they didn't even tell us. Rice was like soup and the Flan was naked no carmel syrup. I mean this is ridiculous.

If you see my last review, it was also of a Mexican restaurant. I liked the dish so much, I ordered the exact same dish here. But why 3 stars here vs 4 stars there? 1) this place only offered rice OR beans but included a salad. I would have rather had both rice and beans than the salad 2) the main reason is the dish was too heavy on salt. Maybe the chef had a heavy hand today but my guac in the salad was way too salty in addition to my burrito being salty. The rice was fine. Other than that the service was good and the chips and salsa was better than the previous place. PS mgmt...turn on a little heat if it's cold outside.

    Came with Pollo Jalisco

Friday night, place was filled about 95% capacity, and they were still able to bring our meal out within about 10 minutes of ordering. Service was worth every bit of 5 stars. Food was great, but not perfect. The only bacon in the Pollo Jalisco was all fat. Guacamole was just puréed avocado. Looked like green baby food. Not that it tasted bad, but we usually expect more stuff mixed in, but maybe this is the correct way to make it and maybe what I'm accustomed to is wrong. That Mexican rap, Chicano rap, or whatever that crap coming out of the speakers just about ruined it for us. This is a small town. Farmers and rednecks. Every one of your customers loves Garth Brooks Lynyrd Skynyrd. We can tolerate whatever it is you call that traditional Mexican restaurant music, but this Mexican Rap is too far left field. Very annoying. The remodel of this place was incredible and really impressed me, but it's starting to fall apart already. They menus need to be replaced and seats recovered.

The only restaurant I frequent in Oakland. I know we can always get in and out. The service is fast and the food is consistent.

Yummy. Food tastes outstanding. When you think service will be slow because of the amount of people it is very quick.

The Mexican Street Rice was next level good. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, but it has a pretty cool vibe and the decor is nice. This is such a cool little spot to get good, hot and fresh food…read more We ordered the Volcano Chicken Tacos and the Veggie Street Rice with shrimp added. The tacos were delicious but the name is misleading. My husband thought it would come drizzled in some kind of spicy sauce given the name, but it was just chicken, cheese and onions. It was still really tasty though. I had the rice and while it was well seasoned, it lacked something else. I think a creamy sauce would knock this dish out of the world. If I ever order it again, I'll be sure to request a cream based sauce, or order a side of sour cream. The service was fast but we also came during a time where they didn't have crowd. If you're dining in, your order will come with a bottle of salsa verde and a bottle of spicy red salsa. Also, the music was great at the time we went, they were playing bachata and it took everything in me not to get up and dance. I'd recommend this place and plan to return. Oakland needs more variety like this little gem.

Food is authenic'ish for the area. You won't find nopales on the menu sadly. Ordered some guac, and cheese dip to start, never received the elote sadly and I was really looking forward to that. Ordered mains, and I requested a quesadilla with shrimp and steak. I realised later that I was so hungry I totally didn't realise what I was served was not a quesadilla at all but more like a large taco. I ate it but was a lil disappointed. The filing was cooked well and seasoned pretty good. Getting ready to leave I asked for a to-go cup for my lemonade. However, it wasn't until after I got in my car I realised the cup was leaking due to a puncture in the styrofoam cup. Would I go back despite all the mishaps? Yes, I would. Prices are a lil high for the area but decent menu selection to choose from.

My husband had Chicken Nopalito... chicken breast w/ cheese sauce, vegetables, rice and beans. It came sizzling and hot! He said it was incredible. I had steak fajitas, rice and beans with side salad. Again-outstanding. Mexican food in Georgia is not the same range of subtle flavors as we found in TX and now N Mississippi. Service was the best, very attentive without being intrusive. Even our water seemed special. If we are ever back in this area, we look forward to eating here again.
