I went back to Taqueria Express again, and this time it was around 10:30pm. I wasn't sure what to expect that late, but the food was actually even better than the first time! I ordered three steak tacos on flour tortillas, and they hit the spot perfectly. The steak was juicy, flavorful, and freshly cooked--even at that hour. The tortillas were soft and warm, and everything was seasoned just right. You can tell they put care into their food no matter the time of day. I'm honestly impressed by the consistency and quality. This place is definitely becoming a late-night go-to for me!

Good customer service, English is understandable.. authentic Mexican food.. service is fast. Food is delicious.. on this recent visit, I ordered steak quesadilia with a side of rice n refried beans for $3.00. A side of guacamole and sour cream for $3.00 .. $16.00.

This place is quick and cheap. The tacos are tiny so order lots. The chicken has a weird flavor but it's got flavor at least. They also have a salsa bar which has some good options. It was a nice quick stop. Loved: - Taco: Carnitas Liked: - Taco: Pastor Ok: - Taco: Pollo

First I love TACOS! Second, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. The drive thru line stayed packed but they we very efficient on keeping the line moving. My son and I went on the inside to order since it was our first time visiting. I was highly disappointed with the cashier. Being a first time visitor I guess I expected more than what was offered. The young lady was watching something on her phone with a earbud in her ear. I was trying to ask questions and she kept having to remove the ear bud and asking me to repeat myself. On top of that she was eating at the counter while taking my order. Once we received our food the chicken tacos were decent but the lengua tacos were very dry and unseasoned. I will return for the pineapple water my son lo

I've been looking for the best taco place in town and this is one of the best I've found so far. It's fast, inexpensive, authentic, and delicious. I've tried the Steak, Spicy Pork, Fried Pork, and Chicken Tacos and the Sopes. The meat was flavorful and tender. The sauces they have from the sauce bar on the side are all great. If you don't like spicy, be careful because they are on the spicier side. I love spicy so it was fine for me. I also love they give a pepper on the side for an extra kick.

Very good food. Only 4 stars because I was in the drive through foooorrrreeeevvveeer. I would suggest ordering ahead. We got 3 tacos, a burrito and a burger and fries for only $20.99

I happen to be in Memphis for the weekend and wanted some tacos. I was recommended this place. Love the variety of tacos and food that this place offered. The prices were very reasonable and in addition they offer aqua frescas. Overall, I was very pleased and I highly recommend this place.

Well, really not much to say about this place. I had two chicken and two shrimp tacos. The chicken tacos were really small and bland. The shrimp tacos were worse. The shrimp were so dry and over cooked. The lettuce nor the ingredients were fresh. They are rather cheap, but in this case you really get what you pay for. I definitely wouldn't go back and would be strongly more likely to go to another taco spot in that area as there are many! The line was long and slow. The young lady at the speaker was not an attentive listener and I had a really hard time understanding her.

You may need to do a little homework before you order. Or stick to something simple like a chimichanga.

I really miss the Pancho's here. The food wasn't really all that great, and they had microwaves, but it just became a spot for nostalgia. This place is so much better than its former glory! I was impressed by how clean the place is. Especially the bathrooms. They are outside the building like they used to do on old service stations. You kind of need a little background if you want to know what you're ordering. I stuck with a chimichanga because I felt safe with it. They have beer, but I opted for a soda. Food was excellent. Salsa was spot on. The price was just right. I'm lovin it!

Found this little gem on Yelp. This is now on my list of favorite Mexican restaurant in Memphis. It's just a little hole in the wall that has really good food. The carne asada can be a bit chewy, seasoned well with good char flavor, the carnitas are well seasoned with moist and crispy pieces. The refried beans are delicious too, Served with flour or corn tortillas. Oh ! and the orange and green hot sauces are yummy but HOT ! I love them !

Spicy pork (aka al pastor) and carne asada tacos

Stumbled upon this gem on my way to Sonics (and I'm sooo glad because I really didn't want Sonics). I was pulled in by the long but manageable line of cars, Latin music played by customers, and sign advertising 99 cent tacos - I knew this was my kind of place! I ordered al pastor (which they called spicy pork but it's the same) and carne asada tacos which are $1.25 each - 99 cents is apparently only for chicken. Carne asada were good but the al pastor was definitely the star of this show. Absolutely delicious and authentic and they come topped with everything you'd want. I also ordered an horchata and it was freshly made and well worth the $2.50 for a large. Service was fast and friendly as well. I will definitely be back again and again.

Seems there's some weird disconnect going on I wasn't aware of... This location is now going by Las Mexicanos instead of Los Comales. Looks like almost all new staff too, that could definitely use some Customer Service training. The menu has a 3rd name on it that seemed off as well. I was not told to come to the hostess stand to be seated, no friendly greeting when I did approach the stand. Once seated, the chip & salsa dude was quick enough in dripping them off w/out so much as a greeting. Maybe he's the silent type? Who knows? 2 Now the real wait begins.... Nothing to drink nor any sign of anyone even slowing down @ my table to take a drink order. Maybe they were fighting to see who would take my order? ‍ I was almost finished w/the basket of chips, decided what I wanted and LAID THE CLOSED MENU on the other side of the table close to the edge, hoping someone would notice. I had decided if they couldn't be bothered to come by the time I finished the chips I was leaving. Magically a waitress finally shows up w/3 chips to spare. Placed the order for water and dinner at the same time. Dinner came out quickly but looking pitiful w/barely a full tablespoon of guac, tomatoes or sour cream. Cheap bastards! The flour part of the chimichanga was NOT CRISP, & I was given plastic utensils to maneuver this sad plate. I have eaten here MANY times as I live in the area so I am more than disappointed w/this experience. Not a single customer sitting in the middle @ the 4-tops & @ least 7 booths empty; on a Saturday night @ 8:00 pm. Sad that they have lost so much business, I'll think twice before considering spending my money here again.

Campechano Burrito (4/5; steak strips and chorizo with rice, beans, lettuce, onion, tomato, and jalapeño): Steak and chorizo are always a winning combination, and this burrito did not disappoint. 3. Chirucas Chimichanga (4/5; two medium chimichangas stuffed with rice, beans, cheese dip, and your choice of meat, served with lettuce, pico de gallo, and sour cream): I chose the grilled marinated pork (al pastor), which was flavorful and satisfying. The server mentioned that the chicken version is their favorite. The service was decent overall, though it could be slow at times. I noticed a few tables waiting a while before servers came to take orders or refill drinks, and my drink was empty for a bit before getting a refill. The lamb sliders remain my go-to. They're consistently juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every time. Paired with the crispy fries, it's a meal that never disappoints. This visit, I ordered a Sidecar, but the bartender didn't have every ingredient needed for the traditional recipe. Instead of saying no, they created their own twist--and it was absolutely delicious. Sometimes improvisation pays off, and this cocktail was proof. The salmon was also excellent. I ordered it prepared the original way instead of the new menu version that includes Brussels sprouts, and it was exactly what I was craving. One of the highlights of the visit was an unexpected surprise from our waiter, who brought us a sample of their avocado ice cream. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was creamy, smooth, and surprisingly delicious. It was a thoughtful gesture that added to an already great dining experience. The only disappointment? They no longer offer the flight sampler. I was genuinely sad to see it gone because it was one of my favorite ways to experience several menu items in one visit. Reciently the restaurant has changed hands and the new owners have turned it back into a real Mexican eatery. Now the menu is awesome, and about half of it caters to vegetarian appetites. And not wheatgrass, and Tofu... this is real Mexican food. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of pork chicken and beef. There are very large menu. And now, everything you look at it is delicious.
