This is a good local Mexican spot with quick and friendly service. I really enjoyed the queso - classic, addictive - and the chicken flautas, although I felt the chicken could've had a bit more seasoning. What was fairly disappointing was the salsa bar. Lots of folks raved about it, but none of the salsas felt above medium or maybe even mild. The "super spicy" salsas did not have much heat at all. Overall, I'd come back and try other things on the menu too.

Cool causal spot with great food and friendly staff. Went in with high expectations and they exceeded them. The Birria tacos were the best I have had in the city. Great vibes, family friendly, and highly recommend.

Nice Hispanic eatery. Ambiance is diner like. Sit down ordering and eating. Lunch specials are good. Got the 3 taco platter and was very good. Messy week seasoned. Wife enjoyed her chicken tortilla soup. Friend got the 3 fish taco and those looked very good. Another friend got the chimichanga and those were very good. Got them filled with chicken. You can get them filled with different proteins. Good portion size. The large queso was good. Note that they have a small sauce bar. Note also that they don't offer complimentary also and chips. For us that is not a deal breaker especially with good food. Service was excellent and friendly. Will come again.

Can't say enough good things about this spot! If you're craving authentic, delicious Mexican food, this is the place. They have an amazing salsa bar with tons of options--from mild to super spicy. I wish I had gotten a picture of the guacamole--it was honestly some of the best I've ever had: chunky, fresh, and full of lime flavor. The service was excellent. Our server was so sweet and attentive. The ambiance makes it a perfect spot for a casual lunch date.

Went to lunch with friends. Really great food and cool place. The restaurant is decorated with bright colors with a party and happy atmosphere. The server was very friendly and helpful. Everyone was very nice. The place was crowded with locals and patrons. My food was seasoned well and tasted fabulous! I liked the large sauce bar that was labeled well. It had so many choices to try. There were small containers for multiple choices. I will be back to try some other menu items. We had a great time at lunch.

I'm still on the hunt for good Birria tacos here in Memphis. These were better than the last three spots I tried, but it still didn't meet my expectations of what I was looking for. the dip was really good, but the meat itself didn't have as much seasoning as I expected, but the taco had a really good crunch to it and it was a good size taco and it also came with rice and beans. I ordered during lunchtime so maybe that's why it came with rice and beans but I was really just expecting three tacos by itself but overall it was good. Just not the best.

The food was so good the chips were a bit hard but besides that it was truly delicious I got the tacos and cheese dip is I loved it .

This is what I had for lunch. Awesome.

I wrote a really long review here already and it is down at the bottom in Yelp jail. I am not sure why, I never got an email or explanation. Perhaps it was something I said... Anywho. The food here is great. I love everything I have eaten here. No free chips and salsa, but they do have a rad, well stocked, salsa bar to nab your likes of the salsa. There must be twelve at least. The servers are always nice. The clientele is heavy Latino. Love that I am a minority on most visits. You know you've found a good Mexican food place then! Food comes out fast, hot, and the way you want it. Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum. Inside is hard to explain but it really doesn't matter. The food makes up for the ambiance. Now they are all green and I am done with my second review of this place. '24 - 85/101. Getting this one back lowers the count biayches!

Walking in was a bit confusing, no one says hi, and I didn't know if I had to wait to be seated. Once I figure that one out it was easier, server was friendly enough and took our order after about a 10 minute wait. Food was delicious, I got the birria tacos and my spouse got the carne asada bowl. They were both really good, personally I would skip the beans here. Location has plenty of parking and it's pretty bright inside. Will for sure be back to try more from the menu.

We loved Chuki's!! The Birria Is great and flavorful. The nachos were great. The carnitas on the nachos were very flavorful and not dry at all. The service was also great. They provide a sauce bar so you can add different sauces to your food. Tons of options!

I was craving Birria today and decided to give this place a try! I'm glad I did. Upon arriving u was greeted and told to sit anywhere. The staff was really nice the only thing was that almost every table needed to be wiped down. Luckily the server had the towel and spray handy and took care of that promptly. I knew I wanted Birria so I was ready to order and she took care of me. The food came out in a timely manner and it was so fresh and good! Everything was so well seasoned!!! Even the consume was SEASONED! the only thing they could've did was put more cheese on the taco but they def didn't skimp out on the meat! The tacos were stuffed. I liked how they put the sauces out on display I highly suggest adding limes to the line because that one little lime y'all put on the plate don't do nothing lol. Other than that i def recommend if you want some good Birria.

Delicious, freshly made everything! Try every salsa they have at the salsa bar, grab a seasonal agua fresca (cucumber lemon or cantaloupe), and try not to eat your weight in their fresh chips. I dare you! Beware prime dinner hours, they can get swamped with to go orders. Doesn't matter, great spot! The motif is cute too, lots of fun Mexican motifs.

Second visit, got the torta Villa Carbon this time. Huge and very good! Service was a bit better this time.

It was great, everything was authentic - but then Molly retired and the new owners moved the location to the hip and popular Overton Square. The restaurant turned into a bar - strong drinks with just OK food. And that was fun, if only you didn't come here to eat. Reciently the restaurant has changed hands and the new owners have turned it back into a real Mexican eatery. Now the menu is awesome, and about half of it caters to vegetarian appetites. And not wheatgrass, and Tofu... this is real Mexican food. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of pork chicken and beef. There are very large menu. And now, everything you look at it is delicious. I have been coming here since they opened and just now realized, I wanna try everything on this new menu. We had the beef chili rellinos with mole and refried beans, which I don't know how they do it but the refried beans have no pork and taste like they're loaded with bacon.
